Another GREAT July 4th in Pinecrest!
Daniela P. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 This cabin had everything my group of 15 wanted: very roomy, outdoor seating and deck, minutes from Pinecrest lake!
A guest from aTurlock, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 The cabin is very roomy. It's a nice area. Clean. The cabin is 7 minutes away from the lake. Outside padio is very nice to hangout.
A guest from Tracy, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 The cabin was clean and welcoming; different layout but lots of room. Our family reunion was very enjoyable. Pinecrest Lake was super close by. Quiet; lots of parking space.

Laura T. from Orinda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 Feedback about the house:No blender at the house, yet description says there is one. They should indicate that the BBQ is a charcoal Weber; we assumed gas when we planned our meals for our stay. The bathroom rugs need to be washed several times or replaced. We washed them when we arrived and could not get them clean-looking. They should really talk up the front porch; it is amazing. It might be time for them to take a thorough inventory of the kitchen. Very hard to cook for and serve 12-14 people with their items, especially pots, pans, and serving bowls/platters.The floor was very dirty when we arrived.I would describe this cabin as rustic, b/c it is dated and furniture is quite old. It is perfect for mom-kid outing that is better than camping. But this is not a rental that would suit most vacationers, looking for a home away from home. Two rolls of TP per bathroom is very cheap and unrealistic. It is GREAT to have extra fridge in the garage.
Karen M. from Roseville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2014 Plenty of room and essentially met my expectation of a cabin in the woods. :)Management rep was very nice and prompt with communications. My one tiny complaint ... would have liked the outdoor seating area to have been swept and tables wiped down. At the beginning of your vacation you don't want to have to do that type of housework :). Thanks for the trip.
A guest from Fremont, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 Better Service is expected. -- Hot water was not available. -- Kitchen Range was not working. -- No maintainence team available.
Disappointed in overall condition. Lacks air circulation.
A guest from Fresno, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 First , the location was not quite what I expected being a little distant from the lake and shopping for essentials. Second, the old furniture is dirty and soiled as well as some of the carpeting. Third, the kitchen lacked proper eating utensils for the maximum number of guests. Most are very old that need replacement. Fourth, the cabin is not suitable for comfort during high heat summer conditions. The upstairs bedrooms remain hot throughout the entire day . This can easily be corrected with ceiling fans throughout entire cabin including the living room. These are seen as simple and inexpensive fixes to make the cabin more desirable to rent. Sorry, we will not repeat our stay.
A guest from San Leandro, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2012 The house was old with old furniture. One room upstairs had spiders and ants so we closed the door to that entire room. It was not the spotless cabin we were used to renting. But we made it work and had a great time regardless.
A guest from McMinnville, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 Overall unit acceptable for 15 member group... 3 .. exceptions, *electrical system overloaded(needs added capacity) **owner has too many personal items about ***carpeting needs cleaning some areas.
A guest from Loleta, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 Twain Harte Vacation Rentals cabin #59 is truly a home-away-from home. It's comfortable, attractive and well-stocked. With the layout of the two floor levels and separate wings and the 3 1/3 bathrooms we had a lot of privacy. I'm afraid we called Margie at the front office a few too many times with various problems we had, one time because we ran too many bathroom appliances at once and thought we'd thrown a breaker (we didn't know to press the red button on the light switch to restore power), but she was always helpful and kind to us. We've been told the cabin will be sprayed for carpenter ants--which was our only real complaint. Their pepper-like dust would get on floors and ledges and make the place look dirty. If we ever go back again that problem should be resolved, and we would surely like to go back! One night we had 14 of our relatives over for a barbecue, and, with the tables outside, that crowd fit beautifully into the space of our rental property. We felt sad when our last day came and we had to lock the front door and leave.
A guest from Antioch, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 We had a great time at this cabin, this is the 3rd year we have rented Pinecrest 59. Everyone had an awesome vacation. The only problem we encountered was ants in the kitchen on Friday night. We sprayed and cleaned which is part of life. All in all it was wonderful..
Karen S. from Sacramento, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 My family of 12 stayed here, and we had room to spare. It's very roomy and comfortable. They even had a small table and small chairs for the little ones, which was nice. However, there is no cable or satellite service, just a DVD player, so luckily my daughter had some DVD's in her car. It's not too far from Pinecrest Lake, but not walking distance for sure. We enjoyed our stay here, and most likely will stay here again!
A guest from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 Had a great time. Only suggestion is that the dryer takes 3 to 4 hours to dry towels and there is a moldy smell in the garage and hall that should be investigated by the owner. TV's dont work at all either. Otherwise it is what you would expect from an older cabin. Location is great and sleeps as many as advertised comfortably.
Barbara N. from kelseyvilole, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 plenty of room for the kids to play both in and ourtside. close to pinecrest lake. only problem was it went too fast! Thank you!
A guest from Tracy, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 This is the second time I have used this cabin for a girls retreat. Its clean , we all fit comfortably and close to the lake.
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2011 As my six year old granddaughter said," Grandma, this is the most beautiful house I've ever seen!" She was so excited as we had been planning this vacation for almost a year. The family all agreed that we had a great time and we can highly recommend this property.
A guest from Acampo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2009 This house was perfect for our extended family (oldest guest was 88, youngest was 2 1/2 months). Nice quiet location, but close to Pinecrest Lake. Enjoyed kayaking, fishing, hiking, and just being together in the pines.
A guest from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2007 We had a lovely stay. The place was clean, had plenty of room and all ameneties were there. It was near enough to Pinecrest lake that some of our more athletic crew ran there in 1/2 hour. Strawberry is also nearby. Beautiful place.
