Hali'i Kai 6B
A guest from Oakdale, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in February, 2014 The resort was fabulous! The grounds were beautiful and the pool was spectacular. We have been to Hawaii for the past 20 years and have never seen so many whales and dolphins swimming and breeching right off the side of the pool area. The unit was comfortable with lovely lithographs and metal wall sculptures. On arrival, there was an ant issue which the management company dealt with promptly. Our three weeks there were extremely pleasant and we can't wait to go back! (Be aware that there is a $10 per day resort charge and also that there is no land line phone in the unit.)
David H. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2014 This unit was comfortable and clean, and allowed for a pleasant stay at this lovely complex. One suggestion: the check-in instructions should not direct an arriving guest to park in the carport that says "6B" if in fact the owners are going to leave their own vehicle there. My first hour at Hali'i Kai was ruined by failed attempts to find out who was parked in my spot, and where I should put my rental car... only to find out that it was the owners' car. Turned out fine to park behind the owners' car for the rest of the trip, but as they say "You don't know what you don't know" and I didn't know that I was supposed to block this other car in!
A guest from CASTLE ROCK, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in January, 2014 Unit was nicely furnished, in good shape. However, no hair dryer, which the mgmt. company lent us one. DVR is not blu-ray, and I had brought some dvd's for the inevitable rainy day, so that was disappointing. Wi-fi worked for a few days, then quit, but we were on vacation, so we didn't worry about it and just used our phones. Some initial confusion over parking, as the unit owner had parked in our designated spot and we didn't know where to park. Also, instructions were given that we basically had to leave the unit ready for the next guest; take out all the trash, do all the laundry (towels, etc). , so that was weird. Lot of rules overall, especially at the clubhouse, and I am not really a 'rules' guy.
A guest from Edmonton, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2013 Hali'i Kai 6B was a wonderful vacation for our family of 3. Being on the ground level with a view of the golf course and partial of the ocean was wonderful. Our two year old loved to run along the grass, as did we. The condo had all of the basics, but no extras - which really wasn't a problem - but be aware that there is no extra beach stuff that some condos have so you will either have to buy that or bring it with you.The pool facilities are worth the extra cost. The pool is fantastic, with a great area for kids which is separate from the rest of the pool. Great view of the oceans and it is not uncommon to see numerous whales and dolphins any time you happen to look out. The restaurant is another plus, especially if you are having so much fun at the pool that you don't want to go home for a snack and a drink! The fitness facilities are also a plus, with a gorgeous view of the ocean from the treadmill. We loved our condo and the pool at Hali'i Kai so much that we found that we didn't go as many places as we normally would, although it is close to the shops and beaches. We would absolutely rent this condo again.
A guest from Woodbury, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2011 Beautiful condo. excellent location. only snag was the vactioners staying above us were extremely loud. stomping and yelling early morning and early evening. Thin walls.Would stay again though!!
A guest from Angels Camp, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Unit 6B was well located, across from the tennis courts. It was a long walk, or short ride to the pool, which was fine with us. When we arrived the carpet at the entry was very dirty and spotted throughout. We called the manager who sent our a cleaning service the next day. The unit was over cluttered with bulky furniture that made it feel cramped. It had zero beach stuff, and very little stuff for cooking. We have stayed at two other units in the resort and they were much better equipped.
DOUG R. from NE CALGARY, ALBERTA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in December, 2009 We all had a fabulous time at the Hali'i Kai Resort and I have already recommended it to friends. I would make a couple of requests though ... include a jug for juice and a tea pot in the kitchen supplies. Some place mats to protect the kitchen table and plates (plastic) to use on the patio.
A guest from ORINDA, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2009 The ventilation to the second bedroom was so poor that the room would be comfortable only when the A/C would make the rest of the condo much too cold. During the entire 3-day period, we were not able to view the TV in the living room, despite repeated complaints.
Property Manager Response: Response from Prince Properties, Inc. Thank you for your review. It seems the Zoning may be slightly off. As for the TV, All is working. As we disussed the process to turn it on. The TV tested well after your stay.
Vicki P. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2009 We can't say enough good things about our stay at the Hali'i Kai condos. The complex was beautiful--immaculately maintained and very quiet. Our condo was in beautiful shape, with very high end finishes. The Ocean Club (pool, workout facility and restaurant) is scenically located with a spectacular view of the ocean (and whales!). The pool was never very crowded and was a great depth (3 to 4 ft.) for our kids. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Jeffrey L. from Anchorage, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2008 Very nice unit and complete except for the Ginsu knife set. (If you're a chef, bring your own favorite knife). 6B is about 1/2 way between the gate and the pool, right across from the tennis court. Small Lanai but with ground floor exit to the grass not an issue. Super pool and poolside facility.
Monette M. from Shoreline, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2008 Had a fantastic time at the Hali'i Kai. No real problems...just a minor screw up with the access codes, but Brad came to the rescue. Other than that we had a great time at the Waikoloa.
A guest from Purcellville, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2008 Would be helpful to have more information about the Hali'i Kai amenities - pool hours, are towels avail, etc...
Charlene E. from Broomfield, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2008 First day problems -no hot water ,no cable tv, Bradford allowed me to fix the hot water heater and call and wait for the cable tv guy. Bradford did bring a new grill to the property after I called . The rest of the vacation was paradise. Thank you, What a wonderful and relaxing paradise vacation spot. We have told eveyone of our vacationing friends about Halii' Kai. Thanks again
