Olivia C. from Cape Haze, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2016 This was our first vacation through TAN that we took with our 18 month old daughter. We wanted a place that had a kitchen, so we could prepare meals rather than eating out as our daughter is not great in restaurants at this age. We also wanted a place that had a pool and beach without too much distraction. Our vacation was the perfect amount of peace and restfulness that we needed but with enough activity to keep our daughter entertained. Palm Island resort was perfect!
Kristin B. from Tampa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 Our continued visits to Palm island are nothing short of awesome. Let me tell you why.. I expect beautiful beaches and water but the continued surprise is the staff that greets us and makes us feel so special and cared for each time. Cocanuts has to be the friendliest place on Earth with people like Jamie and Dustin who dote and acknowledge and care for our every need. Further, is how Maggie and Casey make us feel important and help us shop for special gifts and sacred mementos. The end of the day is always relaxing with Walt or Brittany greeting us in the restaurant and Frank, Campy or CJ listening to our day. Seriously, THese staff members across the board make Palm Island a great place to visit. I have long been a fan of Marty in the office to now include Vanesssa and how about a sweet girl name Faith who was professional and working hard. Palm Island is as much about the people as it is the beaches. It is why we choose it every chance we get! Please let the Powers at be recognize the outstanding job these individuals go to that make our trip a success each and every time we rent a unit!
A guest from Aitkin, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2016 We had never been to Palm Island Resort and it was truly a unique experience. The staff was so courteous and extremely helpful. The resort is just beautiful and well maintained. Wonderful place to walk. The beach feels as if you have it all to yourself. Our stay was very short and we would have liked to have had one more day. Our unit was conveniently located to the pool and an easy walk to both our car and to Coconuts. We did eat a couple of meals at the restaurant within the resort and thought the food was very good and the service even better. Our only complaint is there is no wii fi within our unit; we were told we were there to relax and enjoy the tranquility. However, my husband is not retired and was actually working to some extent - needing to use internet - and not necessarily wanting to conduct business in the middle of a coffee shop. We also keep in touch with family using the internet - - it is 2016 afterall - and for as savvy as Palm Island Resort is at promoting their facility via the internet and for as much as you pay to stay there, you would think it would be provided in the units. Additionally, the upholstered furniture in our unit was truly filthy. We put towels down before sitting on it - - it was that bad. We learned that the unit is for sale and I assume the owners do not want to put any more into it. But clearly that aspect has not been addressed and it was less than appealing. There is also little lighting around the grounds in the evening; it gets so black you do not enjoy going out in the evening for walks. The pool area closes at dusk so there is not evening swimming or use of the hot tub. It's a beautiful resort regardless and for anyone wanting to get away from the crowds on other beaches, it does fit the bill.
A guest from Midland, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 We enjoyed our recent stay at the Palm Island Resort for a joyous gathering of family and friends to witness a young couple's wedding. The accommodations were beautiful and the weekend events flawless. The weather was like the t-shirt, "wind chill--90 degrees"!
A guest from San Luis Obispo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 We came to Englewood, Florida to visit old friends and truly enjoyed the well-recommended Palm IslandResort.
A guest from West Palm Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2015 Our unit was well equipped, kitchen had everything we needed, washer/dryer super handy, beach toys/rafts/boogie boards for kids. Unit was clean and comfortable for our 3 night stay. Looking forward to next visit. Golf cart was a must to explore the island.
Mark & Ann S. from Climax, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2015 A class act operation and everyone was extremely friendly and kind. Both Rum Bay and Leverocks were very good restaurants. The car ferry and water taxi were fun. We loved the long walks, picking up beautiful shells and the quietness of the island.
Leo G. from Miami, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2015 The resort was simply fantastic! The property was clean and bright and the staff was warm and friendly. A quiet oasis for those that want to simply get away from it all.
Robert B. from Punta Gorda, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2015 Three wonderful nights with walks on the beach, cocktails on the porch and wonder ful eating with friends. Plus the Patriots won. Coming from Massachusetts that was a bonus.
A guest from Parrish, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in November, 2014 For us it was the ideal time of year, the ideal weather, the ideal setting, the ideal resort. Our top floor one bedroom condo was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, comfortable with well appointed kitchen and unobstructed vistas of the the deserted white sandy beach and gulf. That the temperature from one day to the next was both sunny and warm, cold and drizzly, that there was a wild evening electrical storm with driving rain and high winds that made the palm tree dance like whirling dervish was a major plus for us. Amazing - all the extremeness of Mother Nature in a 24 hour period. Magic. We rented bikes the chilly morning after a satisfying bite at Coconuts and pedaled to Stump Pass. Waiting at the bottom of our condo building steps for our golf cart transport to the parking lot we were in agreement: "I wish we didn't have to leave." While we begin the next decade of our marriage, it won't be another 10 years before we return to Palm Island Resort!
A guest from Tampa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2014 Not much to do on the island but we brought our boat and explored other areas and islands. They have boat slips that you can rent for 30.00 per night.
Robert B. from Punta Gorda, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 A fantastic stay. Everyone was professional, yet personable. Service and facilities were to shelf. Will definitely be back.
Bob C. from Penfield, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 - restaurant was a little better than last time- Golf cart and boat docking cost are high, you are just gouging the guests. DON'T compare your rates to Boca Grande. We are already there , be nice ! - Unannounced water outage was VERY inconvinent- Marty helpfull as always, especially for someone from Baaastin
Frank T. from Fort Myers, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 My wife and I spent the weekend at Palm Island for the first time. The resort is beautiful, beaches are pristine and the villas are neat and clean. The food is exceptional and the staff go out of their way to make your stay very enjoyable. We look forward to returning soon
James H. from Pompano Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 My third stay here and it was awesome. Paddled around Palm Island in a race and it was beautiful. Looking forward to staying here again!
Joe R. from Lakewood Ranch, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in June, 2013 Overall the property was very clean. There should be some garbage cans on the beach. Also, it would be nice if there was a golf path to the beach and more beach chairs and umbrellas.
Property Manager Response: Response from Palm Island Resort Joe,
We are pleased that you found the property to be clean and we hope you enjoyed your stay. We always welcome and appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.
Amy D. from Nicholasville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 Our stay on Palm Island was wonderful! We enjoyed all the super friendly staff and loved the slow paced "golf cart" life!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Palm Island Resort Amy, We are pleased you enjoyed your time with us at Palm Island Resort it is truly a unique island. Hope to see you back again in the future.
A guest from Seminole, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 This was a wonderful place to stay. Great food at Rum Bay restaurant there. Beach Villa was beautiful and spotless, staff at restaurant, water taxi, and activities director were all friendly and very accommodating. Wasn't happy with the bell guys or the front desk lady named Marty. Other than that everyone else was awesome!
A guest from Odessa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 My husband and I loved our villa and our stay on Palm Island! We have just booked our return vacation with family. We are so very happy with our choice to visit Palm Island Resort!
Brian C. from Land O' Lakes, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 There were roaches in the unit, front desk staff was unhelpful and unprofessional. An item was left in our unit and they acted as if it would be an act of congress to get it and send it to me.
Jeff S. from Chanhass, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2013 Very nice, great weather. The property that we had was a little outdated and needed a few pieces of work here and there but overall, it was more than good enough.
A guest from Largo, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 Nice view of the Gulf and sunsets. Beach was mostly void of people. Lots of sharks teeth and shells. However, the no-see-ums were very bad. There was no place on the island to buy groceries. The gulf cart rental was a $50/day 'gotcha', along with the limited number of ferry passes. The bed was worn out. The shower light did not work. The resort staff were very nice, especially Dan.
Gayle A. from Plant City, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2012 We really enjoyed our stay and everything was beautiful. The only problem was I wish you had a few more restaurants and shops.
Christian E. from Miami, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in September, 2012 The place is very nice, great place to getaway with the family away from the city...However, there was a power failure and we didn't have power in our villa for a while, which made it difficult to take a shower, and also no t.v. which made our stay a little less enjoyable. But I'd still come back and recommend it.
Maria D. from Deltona, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012 We absolutely loved our stay at the Palm Island Resort! Wonderful staff, beautiful 1 bedroom condo and unbelievably beautiful beaches.
Suncoast C. from PLACIDA, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 My family and I came to Palm Island Resort on a company retreat and were amazed at the 'old Florida' charm the Island possesses. The amenities were awesome and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the friendly staff who made our stay enjoyable!
Rufus T. from Jacksonville, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 Had a wonderful experience at this property.Peacefully quiet and relaxing.Beautiful beach for walking and shelling. Found lots of shark teeth. Did some fishing off the docks and caught a few.Excellent staff to deal with
Doris G. from Tampa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 I wanted a place where I could relax from all my stresses and that's exactly what I found in Palm Island. I do and have already recommended to family and friends!
Debbie E. from Kissimee, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2012 really enjoyed our stay, and hopefully going back again in the summer. The property had everything we needed and was very clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Stephanie A. from Miami Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in November, 2011 This is perhaps the most relaxing place I have ever been. We felt like we were the only people on the beach. Driving around the resort on the golf cart was too much fun. I found the best shells I have ever found anywhere on the beach.
Great location, spotless house, loved golf cart. Upgrades neeeded
A guest from Miami, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in November, 2011 There were MANY dead fish on the beach due to red algae tide that came through 3 weeks before our stay. The resort should have cleaned up the beach sand. It was very unpleasant to be among dead fish all over. Also, the bikes that the resort rents are in desperate need of replacing. The property was spotless and well equipped. Will return.
Gregory M. from Brandon, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 I wouldn't recommend the actual unit unless they replaced the couch. The couch was scratchy--hard to sit on. Appreciate the reclining lounger on the patio. Marti is wonderful.
A guest from Nicholasville, Kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2011 This was our 5th trip to Palm Island and it never dissapoints. Needed to getaway from the stresses of work and couldn't of had a more relaxing time. Will definitely be back next year.+
Crystal D. from Brandon, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in September, 2011 I really was taken about how beautiful the layout was and the neatness of the resort. The helpful and friendly workers you have makes a difference to your establishment. Looking forward to returning not sure when But I am spreading the word. Thank you
John E. from Venice, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 was very unhappy with the fee for dockage. If you can park a car free , why not a boat, since no one could verify, where to dock.Docked at rum bay, was only boat !!
A guest from Holiday, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 Had a great time only problem my girlfriend broke her toe the night before and the island is probably the least handicap accessable place to go on vacation. Alot of steps and far walks to the beaches. Cant wait to go back again when nothing is broken.
Joann Y. from Winter Haven, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011 The unit was nice. However since Pat has trouble with his legs, being on the 2nd floor was hard.It was impossible for him to go to the beach. There are no handicap places available for people who are so to get to the beach.Once at the beach there were no chairs peavailable to sit on.At a resort both should be available. We have stayed at other resorts, where they are made available for the handicapped. We took the golf cart to the end of the road near stump pass beach, but unfortunately it is not good for swimming, it goes down too quickly. All the personel at the restaurant, at the front desk in Cocoanuts were all very nice. The reason I would not recommend to a friend is we are all elderly and need some exit to a beach that we can get to.
Norma Chiara H. from belleair, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2011 Newly engaged couple. We had a wonderful escape to Paradise & enjoyed an amazing relaxful weekend. Beautiful Strolls along the beach for sunset.. amazing dips in the ocean & pool & a lovely canoe adventure along the inlet bay.
TED L. from KENNETH CITY, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2011 My wife and I have enjoyed our stays at Palm Island for 0er 20 years now. The villa's are always clean and the gulfront views are awesome. We spend our days collecting sharks teeth on the beautiful beach and this trip was one of the best. I would suggest you take advantage of the grills around the pool and the full kitchen in your rooms because the food at the only restaraunt on the island is not the best.
James M. from Stow, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2010 WE had a very nice ime. The staff were very helpful.

LOUIS L. from punta gorda, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2009 My wife and I love Palm Island Resort because it gives us the sense of a secluded island vacation, just 45 minutes from our home. Having travelled extensively in the Caribbean, we appreciate having our ?toes in the sand? in such a short time. We also enjoy the convenience of having a restaurant on site with a newly revamped menu of delicious specialties. We?re already planning to our next visit!
Property Manager Response:

Benjamin S. from Tarpon Springs, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2009 The check in personel gave us the wrong unit, we ended up with an older unit, nothing like the previous one. We called for coffee one day and never got it because management didn't know which unit they had put us in. When advised of this , it appearred that they had a don't care attitude
Property Manager Response:
Dear Mr. Sturgis, I wanted to let you know that I have included this comment page to discuss at our next management team meeting. I appreciate your time in responding to our survey. We will continue to work on improvements to our customer service level based on your obervations and experience. We do hope that we will have the chance to host you again soon. Jeffrey S. from Tampa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2008 Pros:My experience staying at this place was a big positive. The color scheme of white paint with accents of mostly blue and a little green brought indoors the colors of the outdoors. The constant breeze and rustle of the palm leaves made for a gorgeous non-AC'd environment indoors. Most everything you could want is available in every room. Nice flat panel TV. The screened patio has hooks for hanging privacy shades: one hook about every 12". Highly recommended. Access to beach is awesome, view is awesome. Mgmt keeps grills sparkling clean. Cons:NO RECYCLING!! What's up with that? Not the owner's fault but what's up with Palm Island Resort? If you enjoy sound, you will be disappointed. In this condo the only sound is what comes out of the TV speakers. Owners manuals for the AV equipment would be nice. Eventually I made my way into the LR AV system to fix some annoying settings but others eluded me. CD/DVD player in bedroom is non-operational - does not recognize disc So, no DVDs in bedroom, but what are you doing watching TV? ;)
HAROLD K. from TAMPA, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2008 Reservations - 3 starsGrounds crew - 4 starsRestaurant - 3 starsCheck in/Check out - 1 starThe Check in/Check out counter is the weak point. No communication. I specifically asked that someone pick us up at 6:30 am. Front desk said no problem. Come 7:00am that morning no courier. Sent a follow up survey with name and phone number describing the situation and no follow-up. I realize it's small town Florida but the front desk is the nerve center. Not only that but there is absolutely no after hours contact person. The trip ended on a very sour note.
A guest from finch, ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2008 If you are looking for rest and relaxation, the island is it. It is quiet, tranquil, and my piece of heaven on earth.
