Love Palm Island. Not our favorite unit
A guest from Sarasota, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2016 Didn't like being on the third floor without stairs in the back. Made for lots of sandy feet going through the house (lots of cleaning) Patio was very small with 1 oversized table and only 2 chairs (rental photos not up to date).
Ken K. from Bloomingdale, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 the only problem was I thought I reserved a 1st floor unit and I got a second floor unit. I don't like all the stairs and I like having the back stairs to the ocean.
Clare N. from Olmsted Falls, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2014 Palm Island is a beautiful vacation destination! It's a nice combination of owners and renters, and the resort keeps on top of every aspect such as pool maintenance, landscaping, fun activities and top-notch front desk staff (especially Crista)! We are planning our return visit in a few months. The unit we stayed in (3322) was very well appointed and in a great location. The unit has almost anything you might need, so there's no need to run to the store (beach umbrellas, bandaids, fully stocked kitchen, iron and ironing board and laundry facilities).
A guest from Dearborn, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2014 We have rented at Palm Island many times over the years. The resort has steadily improved but has managed to keep the low-key, quiet atmosphere we love. The rooms can vary and there are 3 classes depending on the renovations that have been done. I'd recommend a deluxe or superior. Our unit was deluxe-had a nice view of the ocean and was nicely furnished. Kitchen floor really needs replacement and a good scrubbing. We found some mold in the bathroom shower but a little bleach took care of that quickly. The beds were comfy and the view from the front bedroom is outstanding. The grounds were well-maintained and the area between the pool and beach has been planted with native grasses which gives it a very natural feel. Lovely! The resort is a haven for birds and wildlife, the shelling is outstanding. It's the perfect place to go if you like being outdoors, observing nature, reading, and relaxing. The pool was well taken care of; grounds people came every morning to check the barbeque area and sweep off any leaf litter. Palm Island Resort is one of my favorite places and we will return-often, I hope!
A guest from Berininda Beach, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2014 This was a short weekend stay. Although the resort itself is lovely and very well maintained, the unit we were in was shop worn and outdated. Not happy with the accommodations at all. We were able to view another unit which was very nice. All of the units here are privately owned so be sure to request a deluxe or higher rating. Overall the resort is a great place to unwind and just relax. Also the on site restaurant is very good. Both the food and the service. We would visit again but this time making sure to book a better unit.
Tyson H. from Orlando, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2014 Check in was easy and fast and everyone was friendly. A great experience but the only problem was it was too short!. Next time we plan to stay longer!
Susan M. from Bellechester, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2014 We enjoyed the peace, beauty and now crowds of people. Everything was so nice and everyone helpful. The only down side was the hassle of getting groceries, and shopping or getting off the island, but the bonus of course was no cars, no crowds so our time on Palm Island was wonderful. We spend time on the island 20-30 years ago shortly after you opened and remembered how beautiful it was. Would like to figure out a way to spend more time there the next years!! thanks
Yes i wld stay here again. We plan on coming again arnd same time
Timothy W. from Blyton, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2013 We loved the serenity & quietness. The villa was very nice but could use a update on the tvs & carry more utensils. We stayed by the pool in. Villa 33 & was very happy. The bch shelling was impressive & we made gifts frm the ones we kept. The staff was wonderful & very attentive as was the servers at the store & restaurant. The drinks & food were also great. We had bartender CJ who was very friendly & mixed us some delicious drinks. We plan on going back nxt fall in October & may plan our wedding there. Thank you all for a wonderful & awesome stay.
John A. from Cummings, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2013 Off the beaten path, but worth the trip. The staff was very hospitable. The unit was well furnished and clean. Unit's master BR and screened porch faced the Gulf. Beautiful sunsets.
A guest from Tampa, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 Although we were there for just a few days - it was the most relaxing and comfortable stay we've had in a long time. Staff was accomodating and pleasant. Our room was comfortable and clean and the view was priceless! Can't wait to go back.
Lisa C. from Orlando, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 This was our first visit to Palm Island and definitely not the last. The location and amenities were really great. Everyone from the employees at the marina who launched our boat and gave us directions to the bellmen who helped cart our stuff were wonderful to deal with. Everyone we came in contact with was happy to work there and make our stay enjoyable. There wasn't anything we couldn't ask for. Only complaint was that the master bed in our particular unit was uncomfortable and the sleeper sofa would not unfold. Otherwise, definitely going back. Almost all of the people we met had been visitors on Palm Island for more than 20 years which speaks volumes about the quality of the vacation we received.
A guest from Lakewood Ranch, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in July, 2013 We will be back. The vibe was totally calm and secluded. Being far away from it all but being close. I hope they never expand wifi. It forces you relax.
Terry W. from Lakewood Ranch, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 This is a step away from life's insanity. No worries. Lots of shelling and sharks teeth. We will definitely be back!
