Customer service over the phone was great, along with when we checked in. Didn't like the fact we had to pick a new cabin as 1st one got sold, and we had to pay the difference. Not IMPRESSED AT ALL with the FREE WIFI! It totally was AWFUL!! Most of the time we had NO SERVICE. The satellite didn't come in very well either on the TV, most nights it would be clear then go blurry, then be clear, one night we lost sound. I finally unplugged receiver and plugged back in, worked fine after that, The hot tub, for which I was looking forward to using--- wouldn't warm up, the water would be cold no matter what temp I set it at. Cabin was cute and served the purpose of being able to sleep & eat at.

May 27,2016 First of all let me start by saying I did a lot of research and read reviews on Aunt bugs cabins so I called aunt bugs cabins rental office and spoke to one of their employees and explained to him that I was pulling a trailer with a motorcycle and needed room for it and wanted a nice view so he told me that the River Sounds cabin #121 would be the ideal choice so I reserved and paid for the river sounds cabin 2 weeks prior to our arrival We arrived at the office (labor day weekend ) they gave me a make shift map and we started our adventure an hour later we still couldn't find the cabin I called the office 3 times and talked to 3 different employees none of them not only didn't know were the cabin was but none of them had ever been there by trial and error we found the cabin but it was not the river sounds it was secret hideaway so I called the office again and explained to the and they said that the river sounds was not available due to plumbing issues and that someone should have notified to tell me that I told them that no one did they said that secret hideaway was the only cabin they had left and that if I didn't want it they would give me my money back and I would have to look for a place to stay elsewhere on labor day weekend so we made due and stayed there, not only it didn't have a view their was no room for my truck and trailer. The picture of the secret hideaway on their website would be the only picture that you could takk,in front of the cabin is a 50 foot hill (that is your view )with some locals junkie house,dogs that bark all day,chickens, a rooster that crow's at the Crack of dawn and goats.When I stepped out of my truck I stepped in dog poop.The cabin was dirty, cobwebs everywhere, roaches at night, dirty dishes,dead bugs, and the hot tub didn't work. I took pictures so if anyone is interested email me at and I'll send them to you. I'll never go there again! Aunt bugs cabin rentals beware!

Booked a large nice cabin 2 months before vacation approx. 3 weeks before we leave get a call cabin has SOLD and there is ONLY one cabin left, we settle for that one and when we arrived at cabin it was NASTY dried food on table, cob webs everywhere, dryer lent vent has packed, white socks were not white after walking on the floors, for 4 adults you had 2 towels. It was NOT a $1300.00 cabin VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Have stayed with Aunt Bugs before and been VERY IMPRESSED, NOT SO MUCH THIS TIME!!

The cabin was in a beautiful location, although the directions had a few minor errors we found our rustic cabin. Upon arrival we found a country like humor with the fish and bear motif, but I was put off by the smell of urine from the pee soaked floor in the master bathroom. As the nights passed the smell became more and more prominent. The master closet good was off the hinges and laying inside of the closet, the hot tub jets did not stay on, and there were night lights located in a drawer for use but none of them worked. Overall the stay was ok ish at best. But just a few attention to details could have changed everything.

Registering: Paper work was not gotten in a timely manner, very little to know communication with rental company, and they changed their payment processing without informing me of the changes.Arrival: check in went well, cabin directions were poor, cabin appeared to not have been cleaned since last guest left, spider webs inside and outside, trash was left on porch and ground around cabin.Facilities: AC did not work, Hot Tub wouldn't work only the light would turn on, and the satellite selection only had about twenty channels that worked.Check out: Wasn't bad but they were not very informative on what all needed to be done prior to leaving.Over all: 2 1/2 stars.

We have had no other complaints about the AC and it is working. If the hot tub was having an issue, we would have been more than happy to send maintenance out to take care of that for you. We have all of our check out information listed in our rental policies, on the refrigerator at the cabin and we also go over those in our office for the convenience of our guests. We hope you will come back and stay with us again.
