Jan 2017 mens ski trip
A guest from toronto, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2017 good location, short walk from end of ski out, and ski in is right across the street. Smallish unit but fair for the price. Very clean, nicely furnished. large communal hot tub. We would stay again and recommend it to friends.
A guest from Qualicum Beach, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2016 Our overall experience was good while attending our daughter's wedding on New Years Eve. Once over the shock of $1,000/night (by no means was this unit spectacular enough to value $1000 per night!)for our 2 bedroom 2 bath unit we loved the location and easy access to the village. We had to call the management when we came back to the room to find water all over the floor of the bathroom and water leaking out of the fan in the bathroom ceiling. A phone call to Management provided a quick response to help resolve the problem. The other issue with the bathroom was behind the door there was an accumulation of dirt, hair and dust.
A guest from Livermore, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2016 We were really happy with the condo! Location was close enough to walk into the village easily. It was very comfortable and spacious. We'd choose it again. The only negative was some loud guests above us who partied past 1am every night. Nothing a little Tylenol PM couldn't handle, but disappointing that other guests would be so obliviously rude.
A guest from KELOWNA, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2016 We enjoyed our week's stay in Whistler. The Wildwood Lodge is about a 10 minute walk to the main village so we didn't need our car. Unit 209 was nicely furnished and clean but there are a few negatives to the unit. Probably the most significant is that the balcony is not at all private and is viewable from a short distance from three other units. Unfortunately, the unit is not air conditioned so we needed to leave the doors open to try and bring in cooler air in the evening. But, too many other residents were smoking cigarettes, or cigars on their patios, which was a an irritant to members of our two groups. Also, on two occasions, guests were being very noisy on their outside patios well after 11 p.m. and before 6 a.m. We lost a lot of sleep. The bed in the master bedroom was a little soft but the most concerning part was the fact that your choice of bed cover was the bedsheet or a ridiculously thick duvet. There was no middle ground. So the unit was very hot at night and when it finally cooled down enough to require more than a sheet for covering, the heavy duvet meant you were back to sweating in short order. There should have been light blankets. There were two fans in the units that we used but they didn't help much since the units were so warm inside. On another visit, and we go annually, I would likely choose a different property to have cooler blankets and a more private deck.
Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. We do not advertise AC. Sorry that it does not meet the same standards that you have at home.
A guest from Everett, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2016 Loved our stay at Wildwood! Our unit had been remodeled and upgraded which made it very pleasant especially the heated slate floors. Condo was very well equipped with all the amenities for a pleasant weekend. Hot tub friends told us how to ski in/ski out which worked well. Loved having an awesome on-site front desk that helped answer so many questions. Bus service to village was easy and efficient.
Nicole R. from Tacoma, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2016 Staff was friendly, easy walking distance to both mountains and the village, clean, upgraded room, all kitchen amenities to make our own meals.
Jacky G. from Coquitlam, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2015 Check-in easy, unit nice and updated/renovated. Only 2 complaints I have are:1. We found a few uncooked pasta shells in one bed2. Hot water runs out pretty quick (after 1-2 showers)
Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. No excuse for the free pasta shells. The hot water tank is 50 gallons so a bit of planning and common sense is required. For these minor issues, they don't Recommend to Others??????? There was no mention that the property manager rushed over and checked the hot water tank when notified.
A guest from Maple Ridge, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2015 Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Wildwood. We appreciated that it was in a quiet location, but only a 10 minute walk to the village and easy access to the lifts. We stayed in #209 and found it to be perfect - clean, modern and well-equipped. There was a bit of hallway noise when doors were closing, but that is to be expected in a condo building. We would definitely stay here again.
Evan L. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014 Rob at the front desk was great. He called a couple times before our stay to ensure that we were able to access our room (as we were arriving outside of front desk hours).Parking in the gated garage was a breeze and I never needed my car during our trip! The room was clean, equipped and quiet. It even had fans in the closets to account for the summer heat which were necessary! The Wildwood is about a 5 minute walk from the Upper village and another 5 to the Village Stroll. A nice morning wake up. The farmer's market on Sundays was a nice surprise as well. Thanks again for a great stay!
Yvonne K. from Springfield, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 We had a very enjoyable stay at wildwood, staff were very pleasant and helpful, we had a bit of a booking mess up but after that was sorted out we enjoyed our stay. We were glad that we were out of the main village this situation was just right for us, quiet, peaceful but within walking distance for everything. I understand that the cleaning fees have gone up ( we were not told about this fee when we booked through an agent), we were only charged the old amount as we had booked back in January, but would not want to pay such a large amount especially if only staying a few days. The apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable.
A guest from Sammamish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 This unit was very comfortable and in a great location. Bedrooms were good size and well equipped. Master bedroom had a dresser and TV and second room had two twin beds which were ideal. Bedding was great... flannel sheets a nice surprise. Wish it could have been a little cleaner, but found a vacuum in the closet, so fixed that issue myself. Loved the fireplace and floor heaters!
A guest from Burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 The positives: Fit our family well. Spacious & good location. Bus came right in front of property. The negatives: When we checked in, the front desk representative was reviewing our checkin & said our room number & gave our access code to enter the room out loud, when there was another person in the lobby. Not discrete at all. The other thing I didn't like was the room lock. There was no chain on the door, meaning anyone that knew the code could access the room. I think the rooms should have a chain lock or a separate lock for when the guests are in their room. The room was lovely & the renovations the owners did were fantastic, however the cleaning was not very good. We found it a bit dirty & the cleaners just seemed to do a "surface" clean. The DVD in the room didn't work :(
Tamara D. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2012 This was a very nice property and I appreciated that it had been recently updated with beautiful finishes. However, it was much smaller than communicated to me when I made the reservation. It says that it sleeps 6 however, there is no way you could get 6 people with luggage and gear in this unit. The 2nd bedroom was large enough for the bed and didn't have much room for storage. it was very nice, just very small. The add also says free Internet and I mistook this for WiFi. Since we had 4 working adults on this trip, we all needed access to the internet. When I called the front desk, I was told that they only guarantee internet and we have to use the Ethernet if we couldn't access wifi. We ended up getting someone else's wifi so it was ok. But, I was annoyed that this wasn't made clear upon the reservation. It was also a bit of a walk to the village and the foot paths were not clear. The front desk should provide clear instructions for how to get to the village and the lifts and it would be nice if the walkways were clear all the way up to your property. The walk to the upper village was about 8 min and about 12 min to get to the main village. Not too bad, if the paths are clear.
Bill F. from Seattle, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 What a great place to stay! We stayed at the Wildwood condo with our two young girls. The condo is beautifully decorated -- totally high-end with plasma TVs and top notch furnishings. We ate our family dinners up at the kitchen counter with the fireplace blazing nearby. Our kids loved the hot tub at Wildwood -- it is a good sized tub and fun four our 2-year-olds and 4-year-olds to splash in.Wildwood is just a 5-10 minute pleasant walk from Blackcomb base. Thanks to Barry and Diane for a wonderful stay!
Matthew Z. from EastSetauket, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2011 This unit is very nice and updated. It is a short walk/ski to the lifts at Blackcomb. It was very clean and the beds, dishes ect were all in great condition.
