Reviewed by: Joseph Neil G. recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2016 Had an great time at the resort. Our condo was clean and comfortable. The grounds were beyond expectation, the landscaping is unreal. Only downfall was the spas heater was broken. But other than that had a great time and would definitely go back.
Avis S. from North Richland Hills, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2016 It is a studio as stated in the description. The new Perfect Sleeper mattress is hard as a board and not very comfortable. The window covering would not open and the clock radio (got excited it was and iHome) was not working. Only 1 bed end table had a USB and electrical port. That was very nice! The location is close to the parking a lot which is a plus. There are dishes for 2 people. However, only 2 clothes hangers were in the small closet. Nice beverage cooler to take to the beach. It states our housekeeper, Annabel Ragasa's phone number would be in the room. It was not and I had to call AhhAloha's number. Also, front desk receptionist I was not able to ask for a late check out and it was not up to Annabel as sated in our checkin paperwork. After many phone calls, we got it settled. Annabel was very accomodating.
John N. from Lincoln, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2015 The unit was nicely updated including very comfortable bed and air conditioning but the info we received needs to be updated. The daily resort fee is about $16 per day not $5...the fee covers internet and parking. The unit is some distance from the parking lot and so the staff provides transportation using golf carts to help with luggage If you want to get to the beach it can be a difficult downhill trek for the elderly but again a call to the front desk will get you transportation down and back. It can be noisy due to the roosters crowing at 6AM and the renters talking in the adjacent apartment. My wife had no problem because she goes to bed wearing earplugs.
A guest from Honolou, HI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 We booked this room for a "work on our marriage" weekend. While the facilty itself was ok (no restaurant and construction but understandable as they were rebuilding) and the staff friendly. The room manager couldn't be bothered to fix the toilet in the room and we ended up needing to walk to the public facility day after day (ruining our enjoyment of the room) and definately not someplace I could ever recommend in good conscience. Currently no credit was provided and they tried to blame us for not having it serviced (we called multiple times).
Andrea V. from North Tustin, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 We loved staying at the Hanalei Bay Reso! Gorgeous beyond belief. The condo was clean and comfortable like we were at home. We really appreciated the shuttle service offered 24 hours a day -- so convenient and speedy. What a treat it was being there. We look forward to returning sometime soon!
A guest from Wheeling, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 Small modest room. Nothing more than a motel 6 inside the room. Grounds were beautiful. Great view. Great place on the island. Don't expect much from the room though. However, you'll spend little time in there.
Paige L. from San Francisco, California recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 We got bang for our buck here. The room is not spectacular but was great for what we paid. The resort grounds WERE spectacular. So beautiful. Will definitely be coming back.
Norman S. from Honolulu, Hawaii does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 Staff was fine. Room had coffee maker. No cups, glasses, basic silver ware, bat mat. At checkout there were regular daily fees as well as a checkout fee required. You did not indicate earlier that such fees were required, when we paid for the unit.
Kristiina C. from Kapaa, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2012 Kauai's North Shore is one of the most special places for us and this unit was absolutely perfect for our stay. I cannot but highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a great vacation place.
A guest from Hanalei, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 The professional Ahh Aloha group made my trip so easy and worry free. I was able to enjoy my short stay without worrying about anything. The accommodations were perfect and very clean, the unit even smelled pleasant. The entire process was the best experience I have ever had with any vacation rental company. I will be staying again and I will always use Ahh Aloha!
KC F. from Tualatin, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2012 The staff at Hanalei Bay Resort were wonderful and Colleen guided us to some great places to eat. They were available to us at all times and the grounds were immaculate. Great place for tennis, golf, beach and swimming. Will most definitely be back.
A guest from Costa Mesa, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2011 The location was great, especially if you like tennis. The room was spacious, but the so-called "kitchen" consisted of a small refrigerator, tiny microwave, a few dishes, one fork, a couple of knives and forks and a platter, all stuck in a closet. The resort was nice but I wouldn't stay in that "condo" again.
A guest from Olympia, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2011 Several maintenance issues. Bathroom fans seemed to have no draw, tested with kleenex, one hair dryer not working, mismatched glasses, refrigerator leaking rusty water inside the main area. Also rusty on the out side in several places.Compared to other units we saw - no condiments, kitchen plastic bags etc. It really is a pain to have to restock all those things only to have them taken at the end of a stay. Other units had these items available. Also other units were much more elegant. On the positive side there seemed to be internet service but there was no instructions before that it was available. The beds were comfortable and the view incredible.
