Summer Get Away
A guest from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 La Jolla is always relaxing and friendly. The beach is a short stroll away, as are all the restaurants, formal or casual. The house has some wear and tear, the kitchen needs more basic gear.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 What a beautiful home! This was the epitome of a beach home, we loved it! We were just a few minute walk to the beach and it was great to not have to drive there. The rooftop deck was one of our favorite features because we had great views and were able to relax. There was tons of room and the home seemed to be newly renovated and updated. Everything was top of the line from the kitchen appliances to the furniture and decor. We felt spoiled to be vacationing in a home like this for such an affordable price. I also loved all of the windows in every room because it made the home so sunny and peaceful. It is the perfect home for a family wanting room to relax and a place right next to the beach.
A guest from Murfreesboro, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2014 Property was nice, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Out of gas for the grill but management quickly replaced it. Only complaint was that there were a few items you would expect that weren't available, and we were asked to let another prospective renter view the property during our stay. Otherwise very satisfied.
A guest from Union Hill, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2013 Thank you for a very nice rental and for accommodating my short lead time and stay duration. We appreciate your consideration.Excellent: Location, General House and area, cleanliness, management company, housekeeper, short walk to the beach or downtown, Opportunity for improvement: kitchen cabinets, bathtub drain stopper in lower level bathroom, dishwasher needs jet dry and should not use liquid detergent. Front gate latch broken.Thank you again for a great stay. I would recommend this property and management company and would stay here again.
Jeff H. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 The house needs a new oven stove as the gas cook top would not shut off this year and the same thing happen last year. Thanks
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2013 This house was absolutely perfect for our needs while on vacation in La Jolla. It was spotlessly clean upon our arrival and perfectly located in a nice and quiet beach neighborhood. Management was terrific to deal with and were more than helpful the few times we called for little items. The house is a short 2 minute walk down to to a lovely beach called Marine Street beach and was within walking distance to some very good restaurants as well. We really enjoyed having a private hot tub as well as going up to the ocean view roof deck to enjoy sunsets. La Jolla is beautiful and excellent to visit and this property is perfection.
A guest from Arlington, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 The house had style, comfortable beds, and great views from the roof. It was located just 2 blocks from a lovely beach. Good hot tub in back. Lovely table for big family meals.
Fred and Wendy B. from Phoenix, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2013 Only parking in driveway for 1 car was difficult, if you had guests. Street parking close to impossible. Needs a new barbeque and coffee pot. Pots and pans should be upgraded. Other than the items listed above, we enjoyed our stay.
A guest from Scottsdale, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 There were no details or information given in regards to checkout. We loved the town and the home but none of the fans worked. Pictures are a little in accurate.
Wonderful house in a perfect location! Very Comfortable
lynne g. from Tahoe, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 perfect for long walks on the beach & close enough to the village for dining & shopping. But much quieter on it's 1 way st. We especially loved the observation deck for cocktails & sunsets. The small patio & yard were fine for our 2 pug dogs.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 We stayed in this lovely house with our three young kids and had a great time. Everything is provided (though you might have to poke around a bit to find it or figure out how to make it work), the location is great, and the rental process was super-easy. If you don't use the hot tub right away, keep an eye on it - we didn't try to use it until later in our stay and it was a bit green by that point, so we passed. Otherwise, everything was great!
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 We just finished a fabulous vacation in La Jolla and this property was so awesome it really made our vacation that much better. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to Marine Street beach and a short drive to the Village. Everything in the unit was clean & spotless and well stocked with all the little extras of home. The kitchen is also fully stocked with utensils and even additional basics such as oil, salt & peppers etc., so it is really easy to cook family meals rather than eating at a restaurant three times a day. The beds are large and comfy and the linens were very nice. Upstairs, there is a nice large balcony which overlooks the ocean and offer spectacular sunset viewing every evening. Downstairs, there is a very relaxing hot tub which we enjoyed every night after dinner. What a great way to spend a vacation! It?s also close to a local supermarket ? a couple of minute?s drive so shopping was also quick and easy. We have found our home away from home and cannot wait to get back.
Dawn R. from Brooklyn, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 My mom, Aunt and I stayed here for 5 days to attend my cousins wedding up the block at te Darlington House. The location was perfect; very close to the water and a short drive to the main area with shops and restaurants. The house itself was very clean and well presented. It was great to have the linens and towels provided and washed/cleaned after we left. It rained most of the time we were there so we didn't get to use the jacuzzi or decks, but they are still a great part of the house. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would stay again if we went back.
A guest from Briarcliff Manor, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 wonderful house, sparce and very comfortablenice beach, loads of sea weed, 15 minutes from San Diego fantastic restaurants nearby
Mani K. from Corrales, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 A fantastic stay at a beautiful house. The giant magnolia tree flowering over the hot tub. The third floor terrace overlooking the ocean sunsets. Clean and simply furnished, so close to world class restaurants. The vicinity of everything made it unjustifiable to rent a car. My kids wore nothing but swim trunks all week, barefoot to the beach and shirtless all day. We look forward to returning next year.
A guest from Paradise Valley, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Great location, quiet, walk to beach, La Jolla shops and restaurants. Second car parking a challenge, particularly on weekends.
Pam E. from Lawrence, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 This house was lovely, the only negative was a barking dog next door! The proximity to the beach was great, just blocks from the village for shopping and dining. Central location from San Diego and a drive north to Laguna Beach, Safari Park, etc. made La Jolla the perfect vacation spot. Thank you!
A guest from Phoenix, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2011 I'll first start by saying, the house was really nice. It was clean inside, and the outside problems we had, were taken care of by the management company very quickly. The balconies were wonderful, the beds comfortable. There were a couple of issues I didn't like. The houses are so close together, we were practically in our neighbors backyards. One neighbor would go outside every night after 1:00 A.M. and putter around his yard. We could hear traffic from the busy road, and our street came from a beach, so it was heavily traveled. Great house. Too close to others.
Michael R. from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 When we arrived we were a little concerned about how big the house was, but were pleasantly surprised. The decoration was taken straight from West Elm, in an updated floor plan (bathroom tile needs to be updated), but accommodating for the family. There were hard wood floors throughout the house. With one bedroom down and two upstairs, it is ideal for having friends, or extended family member join you. The bedroom downstairs is small but has a queen size bed and its own bathroom. Upstairs is a spacious layout with the master bedroom (king bed) and a guest room (full bed). There is one large bathroom on second floor, but it worked for us as we shared it with our children. There is a great balcony off of the guest bedroom with a lounge chair. Through the master bedroom, is a stair case to a balcony on the roof, which has a view of the ocean and is child friendly, e.g., the glass is about 4 feet tall so no one can fall over. There is room for only one car to park, thus all others park on the side of the street. The house had AT&T U-Verse for cable, flat screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. The appliances are up to date and the place was really clean. The house was a bit stuffy when we arrived, but the management company brought over 2 new fans to help circulate the air (no a/c). While we there, we left many windows open, and never needed the fans. It got warm from 2:30PM till 5PM, but otherwise 72 degrees. The beds were very comfortable, but needs more pillows. The location is great. You are one block away from a great Italian restaurant, Carinos, which has been there since 1947. It is small, but pizza and food is great. There are also a number of good places off of Pearl Street as well as coffee shops. The Cottage is a great place for breakfast as they have oatmeal blueberry pancakes and other healthy items. The Cookie Lady is across the street from Nathan?s grocery store (hard to find) but amazing desserts (get the chocolate cake). The beach
