Awesome Vacation Rental
Paul C. from Las Vegas, Nevada recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 The property was excellent, great location, walking distance to the beach and great restaurants; Oscars seafood tacos and Leilani's cafe. The property has a gated front yard to hangout in and is very convenient if you have pets. Backyard was perfect for grilling and cooking out. Our host took great care of us and if and when we needed something from her, she took care of it the same day.
A guest from Highland Village, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Very smooth experience! The house was ready on time. It was clean and in a good location. The Seabreaze app was useful for communication regarding the rental and local activities and dining. Definitely would rent again.
A guest from Pleasanton, California does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 The house is in a good location. It was not that clean, needed a goodvaccum, mop. Also the kitchen was NOT well equiped with silverware, glasses, plates, bowls, or pots and pans. As you can imagine if we are renting a house we would like to have spoons to use. This is really only for four people, but is stated for six people. The futon is very small and really can only fit one person in the family room.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Upon receiving this review we immediately purchased a new vacuum, mop, and cleaning supplies for the house. In addition, we purchased numerous additional items for the kitchen to make sure it is well stocked for all future guests. We appreciate this guest bringing these items to our attention so that we could address them immediately.
Reviewed by: Jacqueline A. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Great, very clean cottage in quiet PB neighborhood. The place was not beach side but within walking distance and a bike ride from shopping. Nice to discover new eating places away from the busy corridor.
A guest from Chandler, Arizona recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in June, 2014 A great experience. The house is very well kept and the neighbors were friendly. Its in a perfect location...a short walk to the PB Boardwalk or a very quick bike ride which is even more fun. Very pet friendly!
Iliana C. from Lexington, SC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2014 The location of the property was the biggest let down. Looking from the perspective of a map it seems as if the beach was just two blocks away were in fact it was not within walking distance. The pictures seem as if this is a higher level home when in fact there isn't an air conditioner and the ceiling fans are minimal at best. The neighbors in the back have to walk right through the driveway to get to the street. Overall I wouldn't recommend this house. For the price I paid I expected more. I left my kids boogie boards because the house needed them. Out of town era want to experience the beach and at a 100 that's a lot when another family stays hopefully they'll leave the boards we donated to the property.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Upon receiving this review we immediately double checked the maps for this property for accuracy as we needed to insure that we were not providing incorrect information to our guests. We found that the maps were accurate and show this home to be three blocks from Tourmaline beach, which is one of the best beaches in the area. We also walked from the house to the beach and found it to take about 5 minutes. We are unclear as to why this guest felt the beach was not walking distance away, but are assuming that they walked the wrong way and took a much longer road to the beach, though we can not be sure. Also, we feel it is important for our future guests to know that this house does not advertise air conditioning. Our goal is to provide properties that best match our guests criteria so we strive to offer as much information on the property as possible so our guests can chose the property that will be best for them.
Robert M. from Boise, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2014 Enclosed front and rear outside space made this house toddler friendly. Beach, restaurants and groceries within walking distance. There is off street parking for two cars, really an advantage. Quiet location. We had a couple of furniture issues, and management was very responsive in addressing them. All in all, we had a great stay.
Reviewed by: Hugo J. recommends this property. Stayed for 23 days in January, 2014 My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this home. We loved being able to bring our dog and enjoy Tourmaline Beach. The patio is huge, great for hanging out and grilling. It was nice having the small yard in the front too. The amenities were perfect for what we needed and we loved being able to walk right into Pacific Beach and the Bird Rock area of La Jolla. This house is such a great value compared to a pet-friendly hotel room. Thank you Sea Breeze for a great stay!
A guest from Kentfield, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2013 The house was in a great location for our Thanksgiving gathering( our Navy son lives on the same street). The house is cute, with a small private yard and having driveway parking was nice. The only two issues: the keyed locking system failed_ low battery? so we couldn't get in one day. and the main seating in the living room was a futon that was very flimsy and fell apart in normal use. Both issues were repaired but were annoyances. The maintenance contact was very responsive though.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 The large backyard patio and updated kitchen were our two favorite things about this home. It's a great location too. You can walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and grocery store. The house was very clean and the management staff did a superb job of communication.
A guest from Orem, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 Just as described; just like the pictures. Jeff was there ASAP, whenever we called. Location was quiet and private. We will likely stay there again.
Reviewed by: Hugo J. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 My husband and I rented this home after looking at comparable hotels in the area. Not only were we able to have room for our two children and dog, but it was less money than any hotel we looked into. Our dog was very happy people watching from the front yard (which is fenced in) and our kids spent most of their time playing on the large patio out backm where we ate a lot of our meals. We loved being able to walk the two short blocks to the beach as well!
Reviewed by: Brandon S. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 The four of us (me, my wife, our son, and our dog) really enjoyed this house. The location was great in that it was walking distance to the grocery store, lots of restaurants, and of course, the beach. Inside, it was clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated and the kitchen was practically brand new! The fenced in front yard and large back patio were also perfect for our dog. This home was perfect for us and we will definitely be back.
Kasey E. from Houston, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2013 The location of this home is the best attribute. Also the beds were comfortable. There is no privacy on the back porch. The front is a bit more private, but it's on the street. The shower wasn't very good - sprayed everywhere. It got cold while we were there and had to turn on the heat. The grate in the floor got so hot that my son burned his foot just from stepping on it, and the shoes that were nearby melted. There are too many choices in the area to stay at this house again.
A guest from Portland, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2013 I had higher expectations after seeing the photos. The kitchen is not "fully remodeled" It has new cabinets and countertops. I expected a dishwasher al least. The floor was quite dirty, we made the kids wear shoes in the house. We had chosen the property because of location, which was good, and for the yard for our dog. The fence was broken and our dog could easily escape. It was fixed but not for 2 days. The shower curtain had mold growing on it, and the shower head was a joke. We ended up leaving 2 days early.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2013 Me and my wife spent a week at this house and it was great! The location was close to shopping and some great places to eat and just a few blocks away from a beautiful beach. Every morning we would take a walk down and watch the surfers play around in the ocean...what a great way to start the day! The home was clean and well taken care of with a nicely landscaped front yard and large back patio complete with BBQ and an outdoor table, perfect for cookouts. This is not a fancy house, rather a well taken care of and well stocked beach house perfect for anyone looking to visit the area and not spend a fortune on hotels. I would most certainly rent this place again.
Scott A. from Weaverville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in November, 2012 Nice home in a great locations. Some minor maintenance issues that were handled very well by contact person. We were called the first evening to make sure we got in OK and everything was in order...nice touch. One negative were the apartments behind. Trash cans and access were in our driveway and one noise day with a party behind. Kitchen was not that well stocked but with my daughter close were used alot of her stuff.Overall enjoyed going back to PB our college days were relived. Overall a very
Reviewed by: Brigand K. recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2012 Love the landscaping. The trees in the front yard gave us plenty of privacy while still allowing our dog to see enough of the action. The sound of the breeze through the palms gave it a vacation ambience and the living room furniture was perfect for relaxing. Being so close to Turquoise St we had plenty of options for dining and shopping and a quick route around the Pacific Beach traffic. We'd love to come back here again.
Christian and Anne D. from Munich, German recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 Our rental home near pacific beach in San Diego was almost perfect for our needs. We travelled with a 14 month old baby, so the house offers enough space which were clean and very good stuffed. We had only some points, which were maybe not completly negativ, but I think the give space for improvement:- the king bed was very loud, means each move causes a little noise from the mattress.- sometimes we've seen some cockroaches, what maybe normal in this climate, but it is not nice- the hirer askes us to show the house another interested person while our stay (and did it, although we said, that we are not very pleased)- we've asked about a sun umbrella and a high chair and the offer for both was 50 Dollars. I think, that's ridiculous (new ones costs about 20 bucks)
John W. from La Quinta, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in August, 2012 Good place for our dogs. Terrific location. Living room furniture (futon & adjoining chair)were very uncomfortable. Toaster didn't work. Loud late-night neighbors on the weekends.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Since receiving this review, we have replaced the toaster oven. In addition, this is the first guest to comment about the comfort of the living room furniture. We have inspected it and found it to be quite comfortable, but are always open to hear other guests feedback. This property is located in Pacific Beach which on the weekends can sometimes get busy, especially during the popular summer months. We appreciate this guests feedback and hope that it helps future guests in selecting the property that is best for them.
A guest from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2012 We had a blast in north Pacific Beach! We love this area, and the house was in a great location within walking distance to beach, shops, and restaurants. The house was very clean, but needs a new refrigerator. Also, there is no dishwasher. We liked the privacy of enclosed front yard and back patio. The tropical plants are beautiful. Occasionally, we did hear some late night partygoers walking the street, but the house is in a nice residential neighborhood. The four of us were very comfortable at this cute place.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Upon receiving this review, the refrigerator was promptly replaced. We appreciate this guests feedback and hope that our future guests will enjoy this house even more with the new refrigerator.
David H. from Morresville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 THIS WAS A GREAT LOCATION WHILE WE WERE IN SAN DIEGO. I WOULD HIGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE TO OTHERS WANTING TO STAY IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA.
William T. from Petersburg, AK does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 On our last day someone came to ask questions about the house because it was going to be auctioned the next day through forclosure. They told us to expect more people comming to our door to ask questions. We posted a note asking us not to be disturbed and put the contact number of the VRBO agent on the note as a contact.I question the ethics involved with a property being rented when an owner is no longer paying the bank for the mortgage. There should be better knowledge of the property regarding ownership and standing before they are offered for rent. Questions to be resolved are; 1) If the rental is no longer owned or managed by VRBO, does this mean I will get all of my payment for cleaning back? 2) Since the property was sold "as is"; will there be any delay getting back my damage deposit?Up untile the "knock on the door", things had gone fairly well. (Except for the gas BBQ that had not had the "fat trap" cleaned and only two of the three burners working.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC We have no idea who came to the door or why they told these guests that the house was going to be sold, but this information is completely false. This house was NOT sold at auction and is not going to be. In fact, the owner just recently invested over $15,000 in a new kitchen and bathroom for this house and has no plans to sell. This was the mistake of an ill informed realtor who was inconsiderate enough to bother one of our guests while on vacation. We apologize for this indiviuals actions.
A guest from Scottsdale, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 For $300 a night in June you'd expect more than. Heap furniture, uncomfortable beds and no premium TV channels. Property management company was atrocious. Only gave us the lock bode to the door 45 minutes after checking time following multiple phone calls. We had one issue, left a message, nobody ever called us back. Shoddy service and experience
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC We have had many guests stay at this property and left only positive reviews. In fact, we just had guests check out that rented this home for 6 months and loved the mattresses. We are very sorry that this guest was not pleased with this house, but his experience is definitely not representative of that of all of our other guests that have stayed here. We are always working to improve our guest experience and will look into this guests complaints to try to improve our service.
A guest from Henderson, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 We stayed at the Pacific Beach house while moving my daughter to San Diego. It was a beautiful property and a wonderful location to watch the surfers at the beach and close to great restaurants.
A guest from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in August, 2011 Great location. Really liked the wood floors and spacious kitchen. Wonderful front yard... I left the front door open for the sunshine. Also had some great BBQ's in the back yard as well. For the price/value- can't be beat. I'd definitely stay again as it's an awesome place.
Great house and location...I will definitely stay again
A guest from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Loved the location as it is only a few blocks from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee shops. Even though the listing is Pacific Beach, its closer to La Jolla/Wind and Sea. The neighborhood is quiet, and the beach is uncrowded and more surfer and family friendly. The house itself was great. Nice and clean, warm working fireplace, parking for at least 2 cars. Cable tv and internet worked great, although most of my time was spent doing other things. The beds were comfortable, especially the new king bed in the master bedroom. One of the greatest parts of the house was the back patio. There's a grill and outdoor dining/seating for 6. It was a wonderful spot to hang out, grill, and spend time with friends. Management was professional, friendly, and very responsive to the few minor requests during my stay. I visit San Diego often, and will definitely stay here again.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 We've stayed here two years in a row, and this Summer will be our third... And we plan to keep coming back. Great location! Borders La Jolla, and is centrally located to everything San Diego has to offer. Quick and easy walk to ocean. Grocery store, gas, just around the corner. Close to super Pacific Beach restaurants and shops. Very comfortable accommodations, nice backyard for barbecues and entertaining, as well as being very Pet Friendly. The two bedroom home is clean, comfortable and well supplied with all the linens, bedding, towels, etc you will need for an extended stay, and the kitchen is very user friendly. We've had a great time very year here. We would highly recommend.
Would not recommend to someone at this time...has potential to be better.
A guest from Woodland, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2011 We received a promotional rate for renting in the month of March ($800/wk). The house was acceptable at that rate. I would not pay more or the "normal seasonal rate" unless improvements had been made, for a few reasons. I would not consider the to be "fully stocked" as advertised. There were no kitchen towels, oven mitts, baking sheets, cleaning products just to name a few items we were in need of. Also upon arrival the dryer was full of white towels which was not an issue. The issue was that a majority of the recently cleaned white towels were stained. Clean but stained. Does not make you feel very clean using others stained towels. This place has potential. We were happy with the location, the front yard, back patio. I think investment needs to be made in new bath and kitchen linens, clothing hangers (only 3-4 between two closets) and restocking the kitchen.
A guest from Victoria, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2011 The location of this property was excellent. It allowed us to discover tucked away neighborhoods with excellent dining and beaches. The house was very comfortable and quiet. I would definitely come back. The only cons were that there was not sufficient glassware in the house, nor were there linens for doing the dishes.
A guest from Montague, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2011 I would recommend this location with reservations. The location was great, only 3 blocks from the ocean, but one of the blocks was a very steep hill up from the beach. OK for us but would be tough for kids or anyone not used to walking. A grocery store is within 2 blocks. The house itself was just OK. I expected an older home but the kitchen counter tiles were in very poor shape. There were numerous cracked tiles and due to the cracks the counter looked dirty and was very hard to clean. There were no dish or hand towels in the kitchen only paper towels. The floors looked clean but when I wiped up some crumbs with a paper towel the first night we were there the towel was filthy. I refused to walk barefoot in the house because the floors were so dirty. The bathroom has new tile but whoever did the tile work forgot to finish the grout work behind the door. The cold water knob in the shower has a Buddhist out look on life, to turn it off you needed to find the "middle way". Generally one turns a faucet to the right to turn it on and to the left to turn it off. You could turn this faucet on either way but turning it off was a challenge. The back patio/courtyard was great as was the BBQ and washer and dryer. The owners need to do a bit more work on the house to make it a really special place.
