Nice vacation, but cleaning ladies- unprofessional at check-out
Matthew E. from Tehachapi, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 The vacation was great. There wasn't a house key in the box upon our arrival, but luckily the door was unlocked and we were able to walk right in. A key was provided the next day. On our last day the cleaning crew showed up at 8 or 9 am and stood and sat outside the property, on the side walk, talking loudly, constantly watching us, and checking their watches?like we were keeping them from starting. We left at 11 am, so that was 2 hours of feeling pressured by them. Suggest to the workers to stay in their car or go to another area to wait. I remember that happening last time too, but I didn't mention it.
A guest from Lincoln, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2014 Let me first say that the property location was fantastic! And the property managers were great--namely Robin Whatley and Tim. They were very helpful and quick to make things right. However, I was very disappointed with the property itself. When I arrived, it was very difficult to unlock and open the front door, after struggling with the lockbox (it would be easier if code contained all different numbers). Upon entering, it was obvious that there was quite a bit of sand and animal hair on the floors and the master bathroom appeared not to have been touched. I would think that given the cost per week to rent that the place would be immaculate--cleaners had to return the next day. There were no lights on the side of the property from the parking to front door, which made coming home at night dangerous and scary! The most disconcerting incident was one morning when I was in master bath in my robe when all of a sudden a man was standing in master bedroom yelling "Hello, hello"! After frightening me almost to death, he tells me he is from Berkshire Hathaway Properties and had set up an appt to show the property--your people had forgotten to call me with that info. Fortunately, I apparently have a very strong heart and all was well, but, being alone the second week, I was somewhat uncomfortable, not knowing who might have a key and just come in anytime!
propreté très moyenne, équipement cuisine très médiocre
Michel C. from TEYRAN, Languedoc recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 Dans l'ensemble satisfaisant.Manque de matériel en cuisine seulement 5 fourchettes et ensemble disparate, pas de plat pour cuisson, réfrigérateur pas de bacs et en très mauvais état.pas de chaise dans la grande chambre.Cordialement Michel CHAPUIS-ROUX
Reviewed by: Debra H. recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in January, 2014 I loved the Rosemont unit. Seabreeze staff could not have been more helpful. I phoned Tim at 9 pm to find out how the TV worked and he patiently walked me through the two wands!I previously sent you an email about the unit. The cutlery and some dishes were not clean but otherwise was spotless.Great location - so close to the beach. THANK YOU
A guest from Globe, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 We rented this house because a bunch of our friends were vacationing in the area as well. We visited their rental homes, and they were much nicer, more spacious, and had more amenities, and were a little bit better-priced than ours. They were also only a couple blocks away from this one, so the location was also good for their rental homes. I think for the price of this home, I would have expected something newer and cleaner on the inside.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 We've stayed at the upstairs unit once in the past and loved it. We came back and stayed in the ground floor unit this time with our dog and had wonderful time again. We love this part of La Jolla. You can walk to everything, and our pup loved having a yard to play in. Thank you!
Reviewed by: Hugo J. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 We loved our time near Windansea Beach. It was our first time staying in this area of La Jolla and we enjoyed the quiet residential feel that the neighborhood has. You can walk all the pretty streets, and it's a super-quick walk to beautiful Windansea Beach. The property is great with the yard, parking, comfy beds and well-stocked kitchen. We'll definitely be back.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 My friend and I wanted to take a quick trip to La Jolla and we stumbled across the Sea Breeze web site. Loved all their options, but we thought this was the perfect fit. We were able to bring our two dogs, be in walking distance to Windansea Beach, and this was much more affordable than a nice hotel room. Loved our stay. Really loved the private fenced in yard in the front and that it came with it's own parking spot. Perfect place!
A guest from Rocklin, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 The unit is in a good area of La Jolla.. Great access to the beach, but it hasn't been updated in a very long time. Mold is growing on walls and in cupboards. Furnishings and finishes would be fine, even though they are well used, if they were clean. Fridge has rust on the outside doors. Every noise made upstairs can be heard in the lower unit where we stayed. There is also a strong odor in the home. It's just a very dirty, run down condo that needs some TLC.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Upon receiving this review, we immediately addressed and corrected the mold issue as well as the rust on the fridge. We have also made it more clear to any guests renting the upstairs unit to please make sure they are respectful of our downstairs neighbors in regards to noise.
A guest from Scottsdale, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in May, 2013 All in all we were pleased. A couple notes, we felt silverware & towels were on the scare and skimpy side.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Upon receiving this review we purchased new silverware and towels for this property to insure the complete satisfaction for our future guests.
Nightmare at 337 Rosemont Duplex (ground Level) La Jolla CA
Reviewed by: Robert & Joyce F. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 53 days in February, 2013 When we arrived at the property we were shocked with the condition of the property. Although it was clean, it was in a poor state of disrepair. Doors were hanging off the walls, the ensuite bath was rusted and had to be professionally recoated and the stench from this was overwhelming. We complained about the rusting on the fridge and other complaints. The taps were leaking badly and had to be replaced. The main bathroom shower had to be regrouted and rusted parts replaced. We had an infestation of ants. The wiring in the house is such that you cannot have a a heater and a hairdryer on at the same time because the fuse blows in the box. We had to get a new coffee maker, frying pans, kettle, wine glasses and a heater, new taps in the master bathroom. No alternative accommodation was offered even although we asked this. We were told by Jonah Mechanic, owner of Sea Breezes, that this is what we should expect in La Jolla, for $3000 a month. There were varous minor problems which were fixed. When the crowning glory came, our car, which was parked at the rear of the house, was covered in filth by the cleaners who were cleaning the top deck. When we complained about this, it was claimed that the call was not received. We were also subject to renters upstairs who had a large dog.. It was allowed out on the front balcony and it urinated and all the urine poured down the walls beside our front door into a pool on the ground. Because of the problems and the substandard accommodation, we left the property early as we could no longer take any more. We would also like to state that the noise from above was quite deafening at times as the floor has not been sound proofed. I can not recommend this property to anybody as it should be taken off the rental market to be totally upgraded as it is in a very run down condition.
Walter V. from Lancaster, NH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 This is a great spot. Half a block from the beach. Short walk to the cove. Affordable. Clean. Nothing fancy but perfect for a laid back visit to La Jolla. Would definitely stay there again.
Angela T. from Tomball, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 This was a perfect rental for our family. We have two sons ages 21 and 17 so the two beds in the 2nd bedroom worked out great. Our only disappointment was that only basic cable channels were available. No big deal. Plenty of room to spread out. Easy walk to a beautiful beach.
Rodney J. from Phoenix, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 Wind N Sea Beach is just down the hill, about 10 houses away. La Jolla Shores beach is close, not walking distance though, so you'll need to find parking. But the beds are really bad in this unit. New mattresses please. Hall shower leaks all over the floor. Kitchen is underequipped--a few more bowls, plates, and some more silverware are needed. Carport is very narrow and hard to use.
Sam H. from Campbell, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2012 There was mold in the master bath, rust in the bath tub, uncomfortable mattresses, Space heaters were used as the only source of heat at night .The only good point was that it was only 2 blocks from the ocean.
Property Manager Response: Response from Seabreeze Vacation Rentals, LLC Since receiving this review the issues with the bath tub and mattresses have been addressed. We appreciate this customers feedback and the opportuntity to provide a higher level of customer satisfaction to our future guests.
Kori T. from Pleasant Grove, Utah recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2012 Loved the location. The price was right. Parking was really tight. This duplex is an older place and has the characteristics of it. Check out was really easy and everybody was so nice and helpful. I would stay there again.
Kelly W. from Sparks, NV recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2011 It was better than a hotel but master bath needed a fan. The entire house was muggy when the shower was going. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in the place. It was like home away from home. Just needed a fan in the master bath and maybe a good carpet cleaning. Otherwise everything was ok. The location was perfect! Only two blocks from the beach!
Virginia M. from Rio Rancho, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 The house was great, good location, comfortable beds, all the right kitchen utensils for a Thanksgiving Dinner (except a potato masher). Clean and quiet.
Sylvan B. from Marietta, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2011 Property is convenient to beach and in a nice neighborhood. The living spaces and master bedroom are roomy and pleasantly furnished. The kitchen is OK, though a little short on dishes and some equipment; there were no good knives! The second bedroom is really too small for two double beds; two adults found it very tight quarters. Parking and trash pickup were excellent. The front yard is nice, a little small; the grill is ancient and dirty. The main issue with the house is mildew and odors. It's an older property at a reasonable price, so some wear and tear is expected and we didn't expect anything fancy, but it needs some serious work to bring it up to basic standard.
A guest from Coeur d'Alene, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 Decent value and close to beach. Nice front patio and landscaping. Needs a few inside repairs and upgrades. Quiet neighbors, but upstairs unit had kid running around early in the morning.
A guest from Great Falls, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 This place was perfect for us as it offered everything we needed for our vacation. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked so we could cook most of our meals at home, the living room was spacious and offered plenty of sitting room for the six of us, and we really enjoyed BBQ's in the private front yard. Our favorite part though was that you could walk down to Windansea Beach in just a few minutes. Great place, very convenient, can't wait to come back!
A guest from Show Low, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 We really enjoyed our stay here as if offered everything we needed for our stay. It was comfortable, clean, and we loved the private front yard. Best part was the location as we could walk a quick 2 minutes down to Windansea Beach.
Good location, older building, needs some improvement
A guest from Burlingame, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 Pros: The property's location is great. The leasing & management is efficient and well done. Cons: The walls are thin and you can hear a lot of the upstairs. The middle room is quite dusty and the bathroom in the hallway smells quite moldy. If you are allergic to cats, I would not recommend this listing - my husband who is allergic to cats did seem affected by it. The lawn is quite miniature, but that worked well for us as we have a small child and it was easy to keep him in sight.
A guest from St Louis, MO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 Outstanding location above Windansea beach. Spacious 2 bedroom with good layout; nice (albeit very small) yard; good internet and cable service. Unfortunately the unit needs quite a bit of work. The condo would really benefit from an upscale remodel - but it needs at least some basic improvements urgently. The bed in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. The 2nd bedroom is depressing with no closet doors and sad, wrinkled curtains covering the closet. The master bath is also in need of renovation - the tub is rusty and a ceiling light or vent has been removed leaving just a rusty hole in the ceiling. This condo has so much potential but needs some work.
Beautiful Place, Doesn't sleep 6 very comfortably tho
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2011 Overall, very happy with the place - however it said that it sleeps 6... but not comfortably. The sleeper sofa is highly uncomfortable. And there is a parking space, but it's only big enough for a compact car, so our SUV didn't fit. Other than these things, we had a great time. Best thing is that its only a few blocks from the beach!
Phil F. from Pitt Meadows, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 30 days in March, 2011 1. very noisy because of upstairs tenants/tiles floors.2. Dishes and kitchen utensils were not clean.3. Very nice location and proximity to the beach
