Stayed for 7 days in October, 2016 As always, interaction and communication with West Hawaii properties was friendly, easy and informative. The condo was clean, spacious and in The Perfect Location for my needs. There was only one negative aspect of this condo; but, it was significant. Air-conditioning was advertised and was expected. In reality, there was a small window unit in the living room that was insufficient to cool the condo. It barely cooled the living room area. It did not provide cooling for the hall, bedroom or bathroom. While numerous fans were in the condo, they did little to help in those areas mentioned. Therefore, it was impossible to sleep in the bedroom. Fortunately, I was the only person staying there and was able to manage sleeping on the foldaway bed in the living room. In advertising this unit in the future, "partially air-conditioned" would be a more honest statement.

We had a bit of a problem with a couple of the appliances, but we were in paradise, right? The bed is probably due to be replaced but after a day exploring in the sun, it felt pretty darned good. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I have come here for a month's stay three times now. The island is very nice, with many things to do such as swimming, snorkeling, and hiking. Unit 310 in Kalanikai is in a great location (near the pier and close to Kailua Village), but it is in poor shape. It is dated, smells musty, and is in need of a complete overhaul. The furniture, especially the bed, was of poor quality. It is a pity really because we visited two other units in the complex, and they were far superior to unit 310. Potential visitors need to be warned. It is not unlivable, but it is in poor condition. The wireless Internet at the complex is abysmal. It is barely functional to check email, and it is not reliable. By no means could one use it to ever stream a video or to do serious business. I would rate the property 1 star, but its location is convenient to warrant 2 stars. Other units in the complex are much nicer, so I would recommend booking them over unit 310.

The only thing was that the pull-out was lumy and not very comfortable. Next was the location, We had a hard time dragging luggage to the 3rd floor.

The unit doesn't seem to have been upgraded since the 1970's & the bed was awful. No place to store groceries because the cabinets were full of dishes etc.

We are very happy to come back to this condo. One difficulty was absense of resident manager. we wanted several information about our stay but he was not available. In fact, we stayed for 8 days and we never met him.
