Condo 5202 at Hanalei Bay Resort
Lenna L. from New London, Connecticut recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2016 Hanalei Bay Resort is a very nice place to stay. Condo 5202 was clean and had a nice view of the water. The washing machine had some mold which wasn't super appealing. There is an $18 a day resort fee which we weren't thrilled about but didn't break the bank. The beach on the resort property is a hike but pool is awesome. The bar at the pool is only open from 2-5. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back to this condo. Just a few minor things but they did not interfere with our enjoyment.
Aaron H. from Morningside, XX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2016 We found this rental as the perfect base in visiting the awesome North Shore of Kauai. Was close to all facilities in Hanalei Bay Resort without the noise and traffic of other guests. Apartment itself was modern yet fitted in with the Hawaii decor. And most of all the million dollar views were stunning and a great way to unwind and relax after the days adventures of the postcard perfect Kauai Island. Wish we stayed longer.
A guest from Richmond, VA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2016 Very nicely furnished condo. Comfy in every way with great view of the bay and mountains. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Conveniences of home. One negative, sound from the adjoining condo when occupied.
Molly C. from Veradale, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2015 This resort was beautiful and the condo was perfect. things to know; the walk to the beach is a little long but scenic, a nice walk for those who are mobile but the uphill might but tough for less mobile folks. Fortunately the resort has a golf cart shuttle. The views from our room could not be beat. We grilled on the shared Weber grills a couple night. The grounds, pool, lobby area are gorgeous, can't wait until the restaurant and bar are completed. The condo was well decorated, bed comfy, had plenty of supplies and this unit would be our top pick if we return.
A guest from Oakville, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2013 Lovely place, nice people, but construction work above and blow our rental, and no restaurant, bar etc. so a bit disappointing, we were not warned about this by the owner or the management
Mark N. from Castle Pines, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 This property is designed as a tennis resort geared toward families. The loud golf carts (gas instead of electric), and constant crowing of roosters frequently made it non-peaceful. No bar or restaurant made it fall short in the description of "resort". The property was outdated and needed maintenance (sliding screens constantly fell off, needed touch up painting, pillows were old, dining light fixture had broken switch, toilet ran frequently). I won't stay here again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at the Hanalei Bay Resort. As an FYI, the restaurant was destroyed by a fire and is in the process of being rebuilt. We do appreciate the information on the maintenance problems, and would have been happy to rectify them for the guest's stay had we been made aware of them at the time.
A guest from Richland, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 Nice location! Beautiful and very restful. The property was built in the late 70s/early 80s so it is showing signs of wear. Considering the environmental conditions it looks about as good as it could under the circumstances and still be economically viable for the Landlords.
Beautiful property but condo needs some refurbishing.
Chuck M. from Bluffton, SC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2012 Beautiful and spacious property, but the bed spread and sheets were threadbare and very old. The couch in the living room was uncomfortable and spotted. The Wi-Fi went out, and it was not fixed by the management company or their technician, who seemed rather incompetent. The bathroom/shower was too dark.
Stanley T. from Miwaukie, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2011 We loved our trip and choice of location, however, the condo itself is in serious need of updating and has some issues with repair. I felt the condition of the condo did not match it's surroundings. The staff at the resort could not have been more pleasant and the view was incredible. Overall an awesome trip.
