A guest from Sonora, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 24 days in June, 2016 We enjoyed staying in this Twain Harte cabin very much. Close to the lake, downtown Twain Harte and the golf course made it very convenient. The cabin itself was cute and very comfortable.
Richard L. from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2016 The location is excellent and the two bedrooms provided good accommodation for our small group. The kitchen and dining areas were well placed and added to the experience. The decking and driveway were covered with very slippery pine needles and presented a hazard when driving or walking. The living room heating unit made very alarming noises when it was turned on and was not used after the first evening
Mary-Peck P. from Menlo Park, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 This house worked well for us. Great location. Clean. Very comfortable. Easy access to town and the lake. Everything we needed in the house! I'd definitely recommend it!
A guest from Fremont, California does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2014 The comforters is too old as well the utensils. We need to bring our own towels and linens to add to head ache.Overall the home is stinking
A guest from Palo Alto, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014 Previous guest left the garbage cans full and the property manager did not arrange for garbage pickup. It turns out that Twain Harte Market sells Waste Management bags good for additional garbage containers. There were no dish towels to be found in the kitchen. It turned out the previous guest left them all in the laundry; in the severe drought we were enjoined not to use the laundry facilities so didn't discover the towels until just before we checked out. The telephone didn't work, and a screen door was broken. The coffee pot lid (needed to make coffee) was stored in a cabinet some distance from the pot. Weird. These are minor considerations however, and overall the cabin was very comfortable.
A guest from Calabasas, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 The beds didn't come w sheets though; luckily my friend is a local and dropped off some sheets; same w towels :((Other than that great!
A guest from Petaluma, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 We will come to twain harte again but we will not rent this house. The place was a sauna, with a fan that didn't work, the kids would wake us up at 2 am saying they were hot. If you stay here bring extra fans from home.
Til Himla # 5 Ski Vacation was an excellent getaway
A guest from Sunnyvale, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2012 We really enjoyed staying in Twain Harte at the Til Himla # 5 cabin. Twain Harte offer such a wonferful getaway from the Bay Area and it is really a lot closer then Lake Tahoe. The Twain Harte Vacation Rental staff has been so helpful and professional on each of the multiple times we used this organization. If you are looking for a really nice getaway in a beautiful small town with beauty and charm that is close to skiing, lakes, and a really fun downtown area then I completely recommend Twain Harte and the many cabins available there. - Enjoy you next vacation
Derry S. from Hayward, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 My teen-age grandsons and I had a wonderful time at this charming cabin. It was beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings, and easy access to the front door. Even my blind dog could find her way around easily. The boys enjoyed the lake and could walk there from the cabin. Also, close to downtown and its many amenities. It was a delightful few days and I'd return in a heartbeat.
A guest from San Mateo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 The rental may look small from the outside but the living room is unbelievable with it's A frame windows looking out on to trees. It is very well located, walkable to the lake for swimming. Deers are present walking through the woods. Even though you have neighbors it still feels quiet. Great kitchen just bring some extra cooking utensils because plastic doesn't work for everything. Had a great time.
A guest from Foster City, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 We had some problems with the front door lock and master bath toliet. Also a coffee maker in the kitchen would be a nice addition.
Sharlene L. from Sunnyvale, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 29 days in June, 2011 My family stayed a month here and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. The cottage was comfortable and peaceful. It is a basic seasoned cottage, with nice decor. The owners were nice, as was Brenda at THVR. We were allergic to the dust though, probably because of the carpeting and pets are allowed. We would come back again if the price is right.
