Blast from the past
Robert B. from Moraga, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2016 Loved the nostalgia this place had to offer, reminded me of being a kid and loved that our kids got to see how we lived. Great property, great experience.
Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Real Estate, Inc. Thank you for your review! The Doots Roost is an older cabin but certainly has its own rustic charm. The setting is beautiful in winter or summer and the cabin presents itself with a definite "mountain cabin" feel. We are so glad you appreciated it and enjoyed your time there!
A guest from Santa Clara, California recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2015 We really had a great time. Accessible cabin, great amenities, and close to the mountains, it was clean, warm, and ideal for a weekend getaway. I'm almost concerned to write too good of a review because I want this secret to be well kept!
Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Real Estate, Inc. Thanks for your review William. We are glad you enjoyed your time here in the mountains. The Doots Roost certainly has its mountain charm. We hope you come back soon!
Gina O. from Manteca, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2014 The home was cozy and perfect for our family. We really enjoyed our stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Real Estate, Inc. We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday stay at Doots Roost! The home certainly does have its charm with its beautiful and quiet setting, separate game room, pet friendly atmosphere, and mountain-cabin layout. Thank you and happy holidays!
Charlene S. from Fremont, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 This cabin could be a very nice place to stay for a family since its location is close to many activities. The problem was the cleanliness of the cabin and the maintainence which we reported to the management staff. The maid left her list of do's on the coffee table and didn't do much cleaning. This cabin needs to thoroughy cleaned and a list of 15 items fixed. The owner should get a new management company or not pay them as they did not answer a question after hours when called and the maidservice was non existant. Thank you Doost for intending families enjoy the outdoors an spend time together. The TV service was horrible and no cell phones which was ok with me.
Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Real Estate, Inc. Unfortunately, this guest did not call the after hours number provided upon arrival, and instead called the office, which is why there was no response until the next day. We provide guests with an EMERGENCY number to call after the office is closed if there are issues, as we make ourselves available to guests 24/7 for emergencies.
A guest from Castro Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 We generally enjoyed our stay. Nice layout and nice location. However, the double bed in the upstairs bedroom is shot - it has a large indentation on the left side which made it unusable.
John G. from Scottsdale, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 Still waiting on the $150 due for the security deposit. 2 Emails and a phone call sent with no response......and no check.
Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals Security deposits are mailed back within 21 days of departure. Contractors need time to clean and check the cabins before checks are returned. We are not late at sending this guests check back. We respond to emails daily. We do answer our phones or we would not be in business??
