Beautiful, quirky haven

We stayed here with family in Nov while attending a family wedding. The condo was a characterful, quirky place which had every facility required for a wonderful stay. It felt as though the owners had just stepped out for a minute as their things decorated every corner of the place in a perfectly fitting way for the location.
Everywhere was clean and well maintained and we felt very safe as it was part of a gated community. The pool area was picturesque with beautiful views over the sea. There were plenty of games and toys for the children to be kept amused.
However, I wouldn't say it was really suitable for very young children as we had to hire a cot and high chair from another firm at a cost of $90, which added considerably to the cost.
Also, we felt uncomfortable around the pool with the children as some of the other guests seemed very disapproving even though the children were very well behaved.
I also felt it was a bit of a cheek to expect us to strip the beds and begin washing the sheets on departure as surely the very considerable cost should cover the cleaning.
All in all though, a beautiful place in a perfect location and would recommend to friends.

You could have lived in this condo!!! It had everything you could want and more for cooking/entertaining! Folding chairs for Mallory Square, beach towels for the pool, games, paper/pencils! They only bummer was the master bed. The side closest to the sliding doors was squeeky...every time I would move, I was making sounds!! Other that that, a FABULOUS place that I would love to stay at again!!!

The location is convenient to everything Key West has to offer without the craziness of being Duval Street. The property is well maintained and carefully looked after. The security is a little over the top and not too friendly, but they probably do what is expected of them.

This is the nicest condo I've stayed in at Truman annex.
Wish I knew --- It has a huge deck and is equipped to do any kind of cooking or entertaining.
Make sure you invite friends over to enjoy drinks and food on the huge deck and enjoy the view.
Terrific.

Was down in Key West for a week for a nice warm/sunny get away before our winter in the pacific northwest. Love being able to walk 30 steps to the pool and the deck was nice just to hang out on. Location to everything is the best. We fly into Key West and rent a bike and that's how you get around---the best. The only bad thing was a key didn't fit one gate---in the big picture--not so bad.

Wonderful Condo-mallory square so Close-just out the front Gate-turn right along the water walk where the cruise ships dock. Pool just off our 30X40 deck. Have always wanted to stay in Harborplace and will go back! Misplaced a pair of earrings which were family things and the cleaning crew found them. Homeaway called and they are in the mail.
Very pleasant experience with home away staff!

We are soon on our way down for our twice a year trip to Key West and we always stay at Sundown Refuge if it is available. It is in easy walking distance of all the the attractions in Old Town and you are in a quiet secure neighborhood, great views of the sunset from the large deck. Have breakfast over looking the harbor. Everything you need is provided.
