Pacific Beach Vacation Rentals Are the Perfect Place for Your Vacation

Looking for beauty and the majesty of nature on your next vacation? Then use one of our Pacific Beach vacation rentals as a home base to explore Washington's Olympic Peninsula. It's west of Seattle, across the Puget Sound, and is home to Olympic National Park, which encompasses nearly a million acres and countless opportunities for outdoor activities. You'll find the Olympic Mountains with their 60 glaciers, a dense rainforest and 73 miles of pristine Pacific coastline.

Despite its isolation and overwhelming natural beauty, the Olympic Peninsula is easily navigated via US Hwy 101. You'll find charming towns and romantic spots galore as you wind your way through rural nature (there are only 135,000 permanent residents within this 3.5 million acre region). Port Angeles is the largest town with 20,000 people. Pacific Beach is home to less than 1,000, but thousands of tourists call it home throughout the year. It's one of those places you visit and think, "I wish I lived here year 'round."

Besides the quaint villages and friendly people, you'll have lots of stunning beaches to explore, as well as Olympic National Park.

Pacific Beach is 10 acre park with 2,300 feet of shoreline. Camping's permitted, and the park's open from 6 am to dusk in the summer and from 8 am to dusk in the winter. If you're planning on building a fire, be sure to purchase you firewood locally. Taking firewood with you off the beach or bringing it in from another location can cause invasive species to get a foothold in areas where they can do ecological harm. In addition to a warm, cozy fire on the beach, you can enjoy the dramatic surf and plenty of sandcastle building and strolling on the beach.

Further up the coast from Pacific Beach, yet within an easy drive of you vacation rental, you'll find Ruby Beach within Olympic National Park. Get their early and take in Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent and Sol Duc Hot Springs. Finish the day off at Rialto Beach before heading back to Pacific Beach.

There's so much more to do on the Olympia Peninsula. Hood Canal, a fjord carved by glaciers is home to sand-dwelling geoducks, as well as delicious clams and oysters. Port Townsend is a charming Victorian-era seaport with wonderful shopping, art and restaurants. Olympic Peninsula Waterfall Trail encompasses 26 waterfalls.

That all barely scratches the surface. So book a week (or two!) at a Pacific Beach vacation rental and then get ready for a vacation you'll remember forever.
