Located in the centre of the Algarve, Pestana Porches Praia is an exclusive 4 star resort situated on a headland overlooking the crystal clear waters of the ocean and just a short walk to the secluded beach at Senhora da Rocha. To the east is the town of Armacao de Pera with its miles of golden sandy beaches and to the west are numerous coves which punctuate the picturesque coastline
Set in its own sub tropical landscaped grounds with swimming pool and bar area, the south facing, air conditioned 1 bedroom apartment (sleeps 4), offers a spacious living/dining room with a very comfortable sofa bed, additional 3 seater leather settee, TV, DVD, stereo player and direct access to its private outdoor terrace and garden area. For your pleasure, there is an interesting selection of books, dvds and cds. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for all your home comforts with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, hob, oven and microwave. There is a generous size bedroom with ample storage; this also has access to the outside terrace. The property has 2 attractive bathrooms, one has a bath with shower, whilst the other has a shower cubicle. The terrace, with its garden furniture, is ideal for outdoor living as its south facing aspect maximizes the sunshine during the day and also takes advantage of the wonderful sunsets.
Visitors have the added bonus of the use of the facilities at the adjacent 4 star Pestana Viking hotel. Guests can enjoy a dip in the outdoor pool or practice their serves on the tennis courts. Before a night out, there are beauty services and a hair salon for some extra pampering. Included in the beauty area is the Thai Studio which specializes in such treatments as Chocolate Blanket, Reaffirming Ginger and Lemon Covering not to mention the Soothing Jasmine Covering. After a day of activity guests can unwind in the sauna or relax in one of the hotel bars with a cocktail. The Valhalla Grill's sumptuous gold and scarlet surroundings make eating at this restaurant a fine-dining experience. It is open for lunch and dinner, with an a la carte menu featuring grilled meats, seafood, and Portuguese, international dishes. The Mare Restaurant offers international buffets and the Belmondo serves Italian cuisine and both feature a terrace area for outdoor dining. There are also supervised activities for children in the crèche and the outdoor play area, as well as a dedicated pool just for them.
Guests have the best of both worlds, either be part of the hotel with its own leisure activities or relax in your own private apartment, the choice is yours.
Within a 20 minute drive of the resort there are 5 golf courses, 2 waterparks, 2 theme parks, 2 horse riding centres and a nature reserve, which is home to many species of birds. If all the sun, sand and leisure activities have not been fulfilling during your stay, then retail therapy can be obtained at Algarve Shopping with its variety of highstreet outlets.
Arrangements can be made for car hire or airport transfer. However, car hire is not essential as there is a bus stop within yards of the apartment.
The owners live just 5 minutes away and are always available to meet guests on arrival and to give advice where necessary, so as to ensure that your stay is as pleasurable as possible.
