MOUNTAIN BROOK HIDEAWAY is a secluded, romantic getaway that is nestled in the tall trees at the base of Mount Hood on the Original Oregon Trail. This spacious (1270 sq/ft) two story 1928 Steiner Log Cabin boasts lots of history within itself -- Antiques abound -- bringing you back to a time when things were quiet and simple. So, come on in and sit by the roaring fire in the Great Room, watch TV or just relax with a good book. This historic Cabin has been maintained to its original design with a hand cut log staircase which leads to the catwalk that connects the two upper bedrooms. Furnishings and decor are for the most part, antique and reflect the period in which is attempted to be represented. Mountain Brook Hideaway is not your normal "Cabin in the Woods" it's more like staying in a piece of our American History. Snuggle up on the front porch and breathe in the natural beauty of the woods, listen to the water flowing through the creek just off the front porch. If you are lucky, you just might see a deer as they have been known to frequent the area. Don't forget the enclosed Jacuzzi House! Your private enclosed Spa House's Jacuzzi is just steps from your back door. This is a wonderful place to unwind after a long hard day of play. There is also a private fire pit area with picnic tables for your family gatherings just over the 2nd wooden foot bridge nearest the Cabin. Within 400 feet of this lovely Cabin is the Sandy River. It's a great place to take a hike, bike or just stroll along and enjoy the view. Board games, Books, Cards, Movies are here for your entertainment.
