Welcome to Hacienda Las Trancas. This huge, old ex-hacienda midway between San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, is situated outside Dolores Hidalgo in a small, safe, friendly village. Once a presidio, or fort, along the silver trail in 1567, it became a hacienda in the 1700's. Walls are meter- thick adobe. Beautiful, rustic elegance, furnished with colonial antiques and local artisan pieces, private, fully staffed, including cooks, maids, massage therapists, bilingual manager, horse and pool personnel, and gardeners. Luxurious bedding with high thread-count linens and feather beds, plus down duvets. There are 11 beautiful bedroom suites with beautiful views of the Sierra Madres, with high-speed internet, sat. t.v., fireplace, terrace, private bath. Beds can sleep up to 30 people. The hacienda has more than 50 rooms, with more than 40,000 sq. ft. under roof, with ten walled-in private acres. We have a private 15- piece Cybex Gym. Our pool is heated with a dozen solar panels to assure year-round comfort, and features a poolside jaccuzzi. There are numerous gardens and enormous porches. Practice your soccer skills on the soccer field, play badminton or invite the town to a game of volleyball on your private sand court. Or play ping pong to your heart's content. Use of horses and mountain bikes is complimentary.Child-friendly.
