Want a vacation free of beach vendors and crowded beaches? Come to Punta Esmeralda, 20 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, the same distance to the south side of Puerto Vallarta. Punta Esmeralda is a new gated resort complex about two minutes north of the small town of Bucerias. It is located directly on the Bay of Banderas right at the turn for Punta de Mita.Enjoy a three bedroom, four bath, first floor condominium with its own dipping pool. There is underground parking for one car with an elevator to the unit. The spacious 3000 square foot condominium is furnished in a contemporary manner with tropical overtones. Original art graces the walls and a contemporary sculpture enhances the terrace area. Up to eight persons can be accommodated. There are three bedrooms, each with its own marble topped sink and shower. The TV room can be converted into a fourth bedroom with its own private bathroom. All bedding is provided. The central air-conditioning can be controlled from each room or open the windows for a wonderful ocean breeze. The ultra modern granite counter top kitchen with TEKA stove, microwave, dishwasher and range hood is a pleasant place to prepare a meal. It is equipped with pots, pans, silverware and dishes. There is a coffee maker and blender. You can enjoy your coffee or cocktails out on the terrace by the dipping pool. There are four chaise lounge chairs and two tables that can seat eight persons combined. Have a meal inside or outside the apartment while looking out at the bay. Maid service is provided once per week but additional maid service can be obtained for a $50 charge per visit. A cook can also be provided if desired. Punta Esmeralda is a beautifully landscaped resort complex. There is a large exercise facility with private steam room and Jacuzzi for men and women. Two tennis courts are available. If you want to lounge at one of the pools or head for the beach club, the choice is yours. The beach is a five minute walk from the condominium. You can either walk, take an elevator or a funicular to the beach. There are eight common pools in the complex. The beach club serves lunch and beverages right on the beach by a lovely pool. Guests are requested to smoke outside. There are many good restaurants in Bucerias and La Cruz. These towns are more typical small Mexican towns than Puerto Vallarta. If you need transport from the airport or a rental car, this can be planned in advance. Your car can be waiting for you at the airport or someone can meet you at the airport to greet you.
