In the popular Dordogne area of the Perigord Pourpre, famous for its excellent cuisine and fine wines, near by the medieval 12th century castle of Gageac-Rouillac, the beautifully restored 150 square metres farmhouse is set in 3000 square meters of garden surrounded by vineyards in an area designated “of special interest” due to the close proximity of the Dordogne river, well known for its delightful villages, castles and pre-historic sites. There is just so much of real interest on the doorstep, from canoeing on the nearby river Dordogne, playing golf 5 minutes away by car, or great cycling in the surrounding countryside. As for the less active, relaxing by the pool with a tasteful glass of local wine while reading a book is just another wonderful way to spend your time.
The house sleeps 8 to 10 people. Ground Floor comprises of Sitting room, lounge/dining room, fully fitted kitchen, 2 bedrooms, WC, Shower room. 1st floor has 2 more bedrooms one of which is a mezzanine, an office. The house is fully equipped with adsl wifi internet access, dishwasher, washing machine, TV/Video/DVD, CD player, hairdryer, iron, a big fridge, freezer, and microwave oven.
Outdoors, there is an 80 square metres terrace, a private pool 9/5m with waterspout, a well equipped BBQ area for outside dining.
