La Lavande is a lovely village house with a French balcony, set in the historic hilltop village of Haut de Cagnes, only 15 minutes from Nice airport and 5 minutes drive from the beach. The village has around 15 restuarants, two of them with a star in the famous Guide Michelin. The 13th century castle and the "Place du Chateau" dominate this charming medieval site. La Lavande is a centrally situated, traditional stone house, featuring beautiful old stone floors, dark ceiling beams, and white walls. It has recently been renovated, and redecorated in Provencal style, using both modern quality furniture and local antiques. The top floor and the master bedroom have air-conditioning units, and the house is equipped with wireless internet, a well as a satellite TV/DVD/MP3 set. The spacious double bedroom sleeps two in an iron bed. The adjacent walk-in-closet has room for a lot! The ground floor guest bedroom also sleeps two, as well as the top floor loft/mezzanine. The comfortable sofabed in the living-room can sleep an additional two. There is a shower room with a toilet on each of the three floors. The master bedroom and the living-room both have cosy fireplaces. On the top floor, with a combined living/dining room, there is a well equipped, totally modern kitchen. This floor, too, has a shower room with a toilet. From here, a staircase leads up to the mezzanine. The French balcony outside the living room offers a beautiful view over the old rooftops, towards the sea and the Grimaldi castle.

Rental period is normally Saturday-Saturday, check in/check out as above, but we try to be as flexible as we can. The rate includes utilities, wireless internet, and final cleaning. Linen are € 20 per person. There is also a security deposit of € 500, paid on arrival and reimbursed on departure if everything is OK.
