Sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms.Puissalicon is a large ‘Maison de Village’ with great character, which has been restored to provide very spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to six people. It is ideally situated for sampling the delights of the sandy Mediterranean beaches along the Languedoc coast or for exploring the wonderful scenery of the ‘Haut Languedoc National Park’ which is a paradise for walking or for studying the stunning wildlife in this untamed area of the Languedoc. Your Accommodation The accommodation consists of a sitting room with comfortable sofas, and a television/video player. There are three bedrooms, a twin and two doubles all with, ceiling fans, comfortable beds and sufficient hanging space and drawers, the twin bedroom has French windows giving access to the covered terrace area.
Your kitchen is light and airy with views of the surrounding vineyards. It is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and combination gas/electric cooker with oven.
There is a bathroom with full sized bath and shower attachment, wash hand basin and toilet. A washing machine is also provided within the bathroom, there is also a separate toilet with wash hand basin.
One of the most endearing features of your holiday home is a wonderful covered terrace, which overlooks the swimming pool and gardens. It has a large dining table, comfortable sofa and chairs, a barbeque and a table tennis table; it really is the place for you to enjoy breakfast and plan the day’s entertainment, or to relax at the end of the day with a cool drink and maybe a delicious barbeque.
Your garden is of approximately 300 square metres with an abundance of fruit trees and shrubs. There are delightful views across the surrounding vineyards. A paved terrace with a table and chairs and sunbeds surrounds the pretty swimming pool. There is a large garage for up to 3 cars.
The village its self boasts a bar, small supermarket, butchers and a super little bakery for the fresh mouth-watering breakfast croissants. The nearest restaurants are less than 5 minutes drive away.
The area
The area is a sightseeing paradise. There are many medieval towns and villages, beaches, gorges and mountains.
The nearby village of Roujan sits amongst one of the largest areas of vineyards in the whole of Europe.
Cap d’Agde the famous beach resort with Water Park, Aquarium and 14kms of golden sands can be reached in about 40 minutes. The children will love ‘Aqualand’ with its flumes, slides and wave pool, other attractions include:-
Meze
Our gateway to the Mediterranean and only 35 minutes drive from Puissalicon, Meze is a delightful little town with a wonderful harbour and lots of narrow winding streets. It is situated on the 'Bassin de Thau' (the large inland lagoon connected to the Med.) and is an important centre for oyster and mussel farming. Huge oyster beds are a local industry and seafood is available everywhere. There are beaches to both sides of the harbour, which are clean, and the water is shallow, ideal for children. Take lunch at one of the many restaurants surrounding the harbour, where you will find some of the most wonderful seafood dishes. If you need to walk off your lunch then stroll up to the 15th century church or visit one of the many shops and stalls selling coquillage (shellfish). Gorge d'Heric:
Just 30 minutes away, the Heric gorge is one of the most outstanding beauty spots in the Espinouse mountain range. The walls of the gorge are the finest rock faces in the region and the area is popular with walkers and climbers. The paths and rock pools provide a wonderful venue for a days exploring and picnicking. The is a super little scenic road train that takes visitors on a picturesque route as far as the Gouffre du Cerisier when you can chose either the train to return or take a splendid walk back down past the rock pools and foaming waters of the Heric
Montpellier,
Capital of Languedoc-Roussillon, owes much of its charm to its beautiful historic buildings and districts and superb gardens and open spaces. Good places to sample the unique atmosphere of this wonderful city are the Place de la Comedie with its brasseries, theatres and large nearby shopping malls, the Place Jean-Jaures and surrounding streets and Esplanade de l’Europe.

Puissalicon is situated 10 miles west of Pezenas, in a quiet location, within easy driving distance of the airports at Carcassonne, Nimes and Montpellier (www.ryanair.com).
It is approximately 20 minutes from the A9 Autoroute
(junction 35).
