Anglers Lodge (sleeps 5, includes A/C), one of the great, romantic accommodations on Lake Otsego, was a feature story in Good Housekeeping June/2001. There is a spectacular view of the lake, as you sit on the couch or at the dining table – both looking out through French doors, leading onto a deck with a gas grill and another dining table in mosaic tile. A staircase leads to a private dock – for great swimming, fishing, or boating. Redone by a well-known decorator in the Adirondack style with a fishing theme and floors of antique wooden boards, the lodge is filled with local antiques, custom-made Adirondack furniture, wonderful hand-painted chests, a library of classic books, and even Direct TV Premier with all sports. The real-leather couch converts into a comfortable queen-bed, and there are two incredibly comfortable chairs, which rock, swivel, and glide as you watch TV or the glimmering surface of the lake, and there’s even a treasure trove of classic books. The 2 baths and 3 bedrooms are cozy and welcoming, with all new, all cotton linens (not white!), towels, down-quilts, and great mattresses. The fully-equipped kitchen has a large side-by-side refrigerator, an industrial stove, a dishwasher and a toaster-oven – all new and in stainless steel ¬– plus full china/silver. The counter top is copper and the floors Italian tile. Save hundreds of $ by eating in! We want your stay to be hassle-free, peaceful, fun, and romantic!
