The K Club has two Arnold Palmer designed 18 hole par 72 championship golf courses. The Palmer Course and Smurfit Course are considered two of Ireland’s finest championship courses and have been
designed to offer completely different experiences and challenges for golfers of all abilities. The Palmer course hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup and the Smurfit course hosts the Smurfit European Open each year. The Palmer Course:
If ever a golf course reflected the personality of its architect, it is surely this Arnold Palmer designed course. It may seem odd to describe a golf course as charismatic and cavalier but from the instant you arrive at the first tee, you are enveloped by a unique
atmosphere. The Palmer Course is, quite simply, one of Europe’s most spectacular courses. It charms, it entices and invariably, brings out the very best in your game. It is unlikely that you will be asked to tackle the course from the championship tees, but this
should in no way diminish the excitement of pitting your wits against Arnold Palmer, for, in a sense, this is precisely what you are about to do. The Smurfit Course:
The Smurfit Course at The K Club has already been described as probably the greatest inland Golf Course to be developed in Ireland. The best way to describe the Smurfit Course at The K Club is that of an inland links. However, its true attributes do not stop there. The Course has many dramatic landscapes with dune type mounding throughout. Coupled with this point, some fourteen acres of water have been worked into the design especially through the final phase of Hole No’s: 13 to 18. A watery grave awaits many a golfer on the home stretch. The K Spa:

A purpose built shooting layout has been erected for the guests of The K Club a short distance away. The River Liffey has a natural stock of wild Brown Trout up to 7lb and boasts of great hatches of fly throughout the season resulting in very large bags of fish especially during the mayfly time of May through to July and afterwards on sedges. Salmon are also to be found particularly during the Autumn run. Lake Fishing:
There are a total of 6 fishable lakes at The K Club, 3 of which are for coarse fishing, stocking Carp, Bream, Tench, Roach, and Perch amongst others and 3 fly/spinning lakes stocking Brown trout,
Rainbow trout and pike. Horse Riding:
Horse riding is available on nearby Abbeyfield farm, set on over 200 acres of picturesque Kildare countryside. Experience a relaxing horse ride, with top quality equipment & the highest standards of
