The Cottage at Ocean Point is built on 2 separate floors with each floor containing a bedroom, bathroom, screened porch, and small kitchen/living area. The villa is ideal for 1 or 2 couples, with total privacy between the floors (for the same reason, not recommended for children as the 2 bedrooms are not connected in the interior). The Cottage is island-casual & comfortable, not deluxe, but is an extremely popular choice because of its charm and convenient waterside location.High beamed cathedral ceilings, tongue & groove cypress panels, and some stonework characterize the main level. The furnishings are special - some antique, some whimsical - yet all comfortable and of a high quality. Ceiling fans grace all the rooms, but should the ocean breezes die down, air conditioning (metered separately) is available for a nominal cost. Large wooden decks are at the water's edge, with lounge chairs awaiting you for sunning, reading, or just relaxing & enjoying this wonderful view of the turquoise sea as waves gently lap the shore. You may even rent a boat & privately dock it at the Cottage, jump in the water from the boat slip (the villa provides convenient floats), or walk in a minute or two to a pristine sugar-white sandy beach with turquoise waters. Private shared tennis courts (no charge to play) are an easy 2-3-minute walk from the Cottage. A short drive leads to 18-hole golf, excellent restaurants, watersports, including scuba, fishing charters (deep sea & and light tackle), and numerous boutiques & resort facilities. NOTE: Additional maid service is available for approximately $8/hour with a 3-hour minimum - please ask your reservations agent for details. A 14-NIGHT MINIMUM over Christmas/New Years.
