The beach from your private entrance

Sabaudia is one of the chicest of Italian beach resorts and is frequented by the chicest of the Romans. This is no surprise. The 30 kilometer long stretch of fine white sands and dunes is simply breathtaking. Add to the natural beauty some really world class seafood restaurants on the water's edge, and a sophisticated and full menu of summer concerts and activities, and you will see why wealthy Romans ensconce themselves here for their summer holidays. The area is a National Park so development has been limited.
Our villa is on the first row along the wide beach, and also backs on to the Lake (the Lago di Paola) where you have a boat dock. When you enter through the private gate you will find yourself in a wonderful private world, fully immersed in the nature of this protected area. This prestigous beach home and its annex guest house are situated on extensive wooded grounds, and its many terraces, solaria, balconies and terraces supply a kaleidescope of fantastic views of sea, woods, lake, and Monte Circeo.
The Main house has a double bedroom, a single bedroom and two bathrooms on the ground floor and 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor. Most of the upstairs bedrooms have access to a private terrace, balcony, or solarium for enjoying the views of sea, lake, and Monte Circeo, or simply sunning in privacy. Downstairs there is a large living room, a smaller "tv room", a separate dining room opening to the large terrace which will serve as your summer dining room, and which offers more wonderful views of beautiful Lago di Paolo and Monte Circeo. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, large fridge and minibar, etc.
The National Park itself is an extraordinarily beautiful natural site that has been preserved since 1934, containing the Monte Circeo, 20 km of superb sandy beaches, four lakes and a forest in its 8,500 hectares (18,700 acres). Recognised by UNESCO as a “World Heritage Site”, the park contains 1,237 species of fauna and 250 species of bird, and wild boar, deer and foxes thrive in the forest. It also contains ruins of Emperor Domitian’s Villa and Lucullo’s Spring, which can be found within a vaulted structure, and which can be visited by request. The 1,700 foot Monte Circeo is believed to be the site of Circe and her Sirens, described in Homer’s Iliad. A drive to the old town of San Felice Circeo, nearby, and up to the top of the mountain, and to the Punto Rosso area around the southern part of the mountain affords wonderful views. St. Felice Circeo also offers an additional selection of excellent restaurants and beaches to visit and enjoy.
