Our seaside beach cottage is perfect for a family wishing for an affordable holiday in Greece where they can enjoy the sites of Athens and the delights of the Aegean Sea. This beautifully renovated beach cottage is just across the street from the St. Theodore Beach Park; only 100 meters from the cottage's front gate to getting your feet wet in the unbelievably blue Aegean Sea with its crystal clear waters. The St Theodore Beach Park has a very beautiful forested area next to the sea and is one of the most popular beaches in the Athens area. The park has nice walkways for long walks or bicycle rides, and a play ground as well as a couple of little taverns by the water.Downtown Athens and the Athens airport are easily and rapidly accessible by car using controlled access highways or by using Greece's new high speed rail system or its modernized inter-city buses; only about one hour's travel time is needed. After exploring Athens and seeing its sites, day trips into Corinth, Epidavos, Mycenae, Olympia, Cape Sounion, Marathon, and Delphi are all easily done from St Theodore. The beach cottage was fully renovated in November 2004. It has a great room (kitchen, living area with fireplace, and dining area), one bathroom, two bedrooms sleeping four, one sun porch that can sleep two, and a nice front porch. All the kitchen appliances are high quality and brand new. The cottage is fully renovated with new kitchen cabinets, windows, doors, plastered walls, and bathroom fixtures. The covered front porch overlooks the pine and olive tree yard where one can barbeque, enjoy the greenery, and where children can safely play. The village of St Theodore is easy walking distance from the cottage and offers anything and everything needed for an evening out on the town or a comfortable stay at home. There are multiple banks, pharmacies, super markets, eating places, and tourist shops. The village has a beautiful seashore boardwalk packed with restaurants, taverns and ice cream places; a bit of everything for the family to enjoy.
