July 2007 - Taylor family, USA: We had a wonderful 4 weeks here and love the area. Fabulous house for a family vacation. The kids loved the beach and the pool (and the Tolo ice cream shops).

The villa is built on three levels and at the entrance level has a comfortable living room/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, WC and access to the main balcony and to the courtyard. Upstairs are two doulbe bedrooms (one en-suite), one bedroom with two single beds and one bathroom. All bedrooms have mosquito nets and air-conditionning. For those visiting out of season we have central heating and cosy duvets in case the nights are chilly.

Down at the pool level is the entrance to the independant studio (4th bedroom). This is very spacious and includes a small shower room and kitchentte with tea/coffee making facilities, a microwave and fridge - perfect for those couples for those couples who wish to have a little more privacy from the rest of the party from time to time!

The 35sqm pool and garden area has sun loungers for 8 people and provides both area for sunbathing and shady relaxation. Here you will find banana trees, white jasmin and oleanders. The courtyard is much appreciated by parents wishing to relax a little whilst knowing that the smaller members of the family cannot escape! It is fully enclosed and has a large awning to keep off the sun. Here you will find bourganvilla, an olive tree, geraniums and mediterranean herbs. The BBQ is on wheels so that each party can choose the location that suits their cooking purposes. There are balconies off the linving rooms and bedrooms. THe living room balcony has a large teak table with seating for 10 people.

The Peloponnese never fails to surprise us with its abundance of historical sights, natural beauty and clear blue waters. The resort of Tolo offers a perfect location for days of sunbathing and relaxed evenings eating in tavernas set at the edge of the sea. Nafplio, with its venetian and neo-classical architecture, is truly beautiful and needs to be visited several times to discover all the secret corners of this town. The little shops offer many interesting artistic items and a morning spent wandering through the narrow streets is delightful.

Essential visits are to the Ancient Theatre of Epidavros, Agamemnon’s Tomb at Mycenae and Nafplio Castle.We also recommend a visit to some of the islands located off the Peloponnese mainland. From Tolo, in the summer months, a ferry can take you to Spetses, Hydra and Poros, all absolutely delightful islands to spend a day on. Alternatively a lovely coastal drive takes you to a point from where you can catch a sea taxi over to Spetses.

Another recommended activity is a tour of the wineries in the Nemea region which can be a lovely day trip - not so great for the driver as he cannot do any sampling!

In the summer months you can a hire a boat and visit the little secluded bays behind the islands close to Tolo.

Other places which are definitely worth a visit are Palamidi Castle and the Archaeological Museum in Nafplion.

Whatever the time of year, this region has something to offer the visitor - beaches, water sports, cultural sites, great inside and outside dining, wonderful country-side and Greek hospitality.
