Welcome to Casa De Las Anas! This our home in the mountains of the Dominican Republic, a getaway very different from the beach or typical tourist resorts. We have only two rooms, we are a long ways from the usual tourist haunts, and we are in a very modest neighborhood. Come here for relaxation and a real taste of small town Dominican Culture. Casa De Las Anas is a great place to practice your Spanish and an excellent setting for kids. Experience the unique beauty of the Dominican Republic Backcountry at Casa De Las Anas.We are an American family who own a house in the back country of the Dominican Republic. During most of the year our good Dominican friend, AnaJulia lives with her daughter, AnaMaria, in the house. Our Daughter, Anita, is the third of the Anas of Casa De Las Anas. Julia cares for the house and allows travelers to stay in the two rooms. Julia is very open and though she speaks very little English she is patient and understanding. It is our aim to make you as comfortable as possible while you enjoy a true experience of Dominican culture. Julia cooks incredible traditional foods and there are several activities you can take part in to experience the area. If you just want to relax, the rocking chairs and hammock in the patio are perfect. There are also discotecas and restaurants in the area if you are looking for a taste of Dominican Night life. We provide a bed, a shared bathroom, and three meals a day. We serve delicious fresh food and filtered water, Dominican juices (made with filtered water), or “refrescos” (bottled sodas such as Coke or 7Up). We cannot guarantee this if you opt to eat elsewhere! Alcoholic beverages are additional and at cost.
