The cottage’s south westerly exposure over Berford Lake ensures that guests can enjoy long sunny afternoons in the summer spent near the water. At days end, the cottage will provide visitors with a front row seat to view spectacular sunsets.

The grassed cottage lot leads to the shoreline of Berford Lake. The waterfront has a sandy apron, a sand and silt bottom with shallow entry that eventually gives way to deeper water as you move away from the water’s edge. Berford Lake is a lake that is warm in the summer and will be ideal for swimming and all sorts of water sports and other activities. A covered porch constructed next to the cottage ensures that even on days with inclement weather, guests will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy long summer outside. And just because the sun has gone down in the evening is no reason for the fun outside the cottage to stop. The cottage owners have provided a fire-pit for guests to enjoy an evening campfire roasting hotdogs and marshmallows.

The interior of the cottage boasts an open concept kitchen and a great room with a vaulted ceiling overlooking the lake through a wall of large windows along the front of the cottage. A magnificent stone fireplace stretches from the wood floors to a vaulted ceiling high above.
The cottage is completely furnished with comfortable furniture.

The large and bright kitchen is well equipped and has a raised counter top and three stools that would be the perfect spot for quick snacks and for someone to sit and talk with the person designated to cook during your stay. The light-filled dining room is located directly off the kitchen and is furnished with a large wooden table and chairs.

The four bedrooms are all furnished with new beds, three of which have queens and are on the main floor. The fourth bedroom might be the ideal sleeping area for the children in the group as it’s furnished with a twin bed along with a double with single bunk over, and is located in the loft area. Overlooking the great room below, the loft sitting area is a great spot to relax and view the lake.

The master bedroom has large windows facing the lake, and a 4 piece en-suite bathroom equipped with a Jacuzzi style tub and a separate walk in shower. A second three piece washroom is located just steps from the other two bedrooms and the great room.

The nearby town of Wiarton is known as the “Gateway to the Beautiful Bruce Peninsula”. It offers many services and attractions including grocery shopping, restaurants and a variety of clothing stores and antique shops. Wiarton’s location on the southern end of the Bruce Peninsula ensures that it is close to a number of attractions including the Bruce Trail, Sauble Beach and two of Canada’s National Parks located further north on the Bruce Peninsula.

The Enns’ Inn will provide visitors with a large, comfortable and clean accommodation overlooking Berford Lake. Its location half way between Georgian Bay to the east and Lake Huron to the west ensures that visitors to the cottage will run out of time during their stay before they run out of nearby attractions to visit.
