Not to be missed in Vinci itself are the artists birthplace and the musem devoted to his works situated in the Mediaeval centre. The villa provides an excellent starting point for easy excursions to the art cities of Florence and Lucca (both about 45 km away) as well as to smaller local centres such as San Miniato (15 km) or the famous spa town of Montecatini Terme (20 km). The villa, which belongs to an estate producing wine and olive oil, stands in a dominant position offering surperb panoramic view over the surrounding hills. Guests also enjoy the use of a well-kept garden with a private swimming pool and various fully equipped areas.
