The restaurant as well as the whole infrastructure are closed from the end of October until the end of March. The Oste river (tributary of the Elbe river with a large stock of salmon) runs along the edge of the holiday and camping complex. For shared use: heated outdoor swimming pool (15 x 6 m, extra), volleyball and soccer fields, several playgrounds, lots of green spaces and play areas as well as fishing ponds (carps and trouts, extra). Horse-riding lessons and guided tours for all ages through a large nearby forest region. If you want to bring your own horses, horse boxes can be rented in the holiday park (payable locally). Residential and tourist boats (license-free) as well as canoes, kayaks, bicycles and ketcars can be rented. Included in the price: one free entry to the indoor- and outdoor swimming pools. The indoor swimming pool and the restaurant are opened during Christmas/New Year's, entry to the swimming pool is included in the price during this period.

Resort: The district of Hechthausen is the most easterly in the county of Cuxhaven, bordered to the north, east and south by the course of the river Oste. It is a cosy holiday resort in the interior 50 km from the sea, 18 km from Stade, 30 km from Otterndorf, 50 km from Cuxhaven. All shops, restaurants etc. in Hemmoor, 8 km. In the resort: grocers, butchers, bakers, bank, restaurant. Indoor pool at 5 km. Access: railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Hamburg (HAM) 85 km, Bremen (BRE) 115 km. This place has retained its rural character, emphasized, for example, by the old windmill in the town. The Oste dike and dike mudflats invite you to take long walks and cycle rides particularly when the fruit trees are in bloom.
