Resort in Summer: On the suspended, wind protected and sunny side of the Oberengadin valley lies Pontresina. For climbing and walking adepts the Engadine village is a real dream come true for it is the starting point of the most sensationnal climbing and walking tours. The Piz Bernina which is 4049m and the only mountain of the eastern alps to be over 4000m is awaiting to be mastered. On the way up is the well known mountain Inn Diavolezza at (2978m) which you can reach either by foot or with the Diavolezza train. There you can enjoy being in the highest jacuzzi of europe and enjoy the amazing view. Once you have relaxed you can go up to the Persgletscher (Glacier), but if your not feeling ready for it you can always start by taking lessons at the Swiss Climbing School.
