Patricia D. from Salem,, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2016 This was a perfect place for our entire family to enjoy our Christmas vacation together, 13 people ages 5 to 73. The house is beautiful and comfortable, the pool and beach are amazing, and the management staff was extremely helpful to us in many ways. Could not have been better. The only thing we wish we had known in advance is that credit cards are not terribly useful here and it is very difficult to get cash, so good idea next time to carry a lot of cash.
A guest from West Sussex, England recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2016 super vlla pleasant house staff.snorkelling superb and fun in the kayaks.location of villa cenotes.enjoyed quad bike ride through jungle.golf course a little expensive.great food close by in akumal.turtles in akumal bay.kids loved it
Diego B. from Santiago, Chile recommends this property. Stayed for 19 days in January, 2016 Everything wonderfull. Demetrio and al the staff took care of everything we needed. The house is spacious and perfectly located. Definetly would recomen
A guest from Thessaloniki, Panorama does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in November, 2015 Serious lack of maintenance - the houses were not ready to accommodate guests. Internet is very bad, but not because of the telecom company- the equipment in the house are obsolete and old. The excuse that This Is Mexico (TIM) is not good enough to explain all the things that the owners / managers did not do. For example, there were millions of ants on the kitchen counters and everywhere in the house- this is part of not proper disinfection, same is true for the huge cockroaches- I mean a proper pest control spray would have solved the problem. The beach is a disaster, with all the seaweed landing there daily- the locals are trying to clean it up but no luck- too much. Well the seaweed comes along with the bad smell and the millions of small flies just in front your nose- this is not a problem of the management/owner of the house, it is the whole area- so look for a better place to stay far - far away.
Violeta O. from Melbourne, Victoria recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2015 we could not find a better place to stay the whole family (10 adults and a 3 month baby). Villa Ka Kuxta is gorgeous and full of space for everyone. We felt at home, we have enjoyed everyday at the beach, pool. The villa has beautiful decoration and the garden is amazing. The villa was the most important factor to make our holidays in family so enjoyable , everyone is looking forward to come back someday.
A guest from Oakland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2015 A perfect vacation spot with pool, beach and gorgeous and spacious house! Also, the people who work at the house (housekeeper/cook, gardner and manager) are helpful and kind.
A week at Ka Kuxta -- refreshing, restorative, relaxing
Blake M. from Brooklyn,, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2015 We had a terrific week staying at Ka Kuxta. We were four adults, and four kids -- two 4 year olds, a 2 year old, and 1 infant. The pool/beach combination is wonderful to have, as well as the kayaks for an ocean workout. (Though parents of young children should note that the pool does not have any safety fence around it.) The breeze coming in off the ocean is amazing, and we did not need AC on during the day.The bedrooms were all comfortable, and our group mostly convened (when inside) in the first floor dining/living room area, which also has a nice kitchen counter for eating. There is also Direct TV, and a huge DVD collection. The house manager, Señor D, is very friendly and very helpful, as is the rest of the team that maintains the villa. There is also a security gate manned at all times, as well as security officers that patrol the property - all very friendly. The only issue I would point out is that the amount of foliage between Ka Kuxta and the houses on either side was not nearly as robust as in some of the pictures, so there is not quite as much privacy as it looks like. But it should not be filed as a complaint, as it did not affect our trip (or our rating of the villa) but something to be aware of. It's an very easy drive to Akumal for snorkeling at Ya-Kul or dinner on the beach at La Buena Vida. And it's about a 20 minute drive to Tulum, where we had several dinners. You're also about 25 minutes from Xcaret, an excellent eco-adventure park that is great for kids. It's a great house, in a great location, supported by a great staff. Highly recommended!
A guest from Tallahassee, ,, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 The house has a lot of space and a gorgeous beach. We enjoyed so much kayaking and swimming with the turtles near by, the villa exceeded my expectations! I'll rent it again.
A guest from Paris, recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 Villa Ka Kukta was a little paradise for all my family 5 adults and 7 children. We all had a wonderful time. Akumal is a wonderful place to stay, the villa is in a secluded location and we really appreciated that. Akumal Playa and Village are very nice, we enjoyed the restaurants and the boutiques there. It is easy to visit some of the Maya sites: we went to Tulum, Koba and Chichen Itza.We enjoyed Christmas Mass in Chemuyil, people there were very friendly, in fact all mexicans are really very nice. The management and staff at the villa were perfect, they cooked nice dinners for us and did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable. We were sad to leave and sorry we could not stay longer (the trip from France is quite long and tiresome, but my son and son-in-law had to go back to work, a week is too short...)All of us will keep wonderful memories of this awsome place and we wish you a great 2103.
Ka Kuxta: again a luxurious and relaxing experience
Frans M. W. V. from Veghel, recommends this property. Stayed for 13 days in November, 2012 This was our third time for a 2-week vacation at villa Ka Kuxta with our whole family. Parents, children, spouses and grand children. The villa is an ideal location for such an occasion with lots of privacy in the villa and be/do things together at the same time. Although the travel from the Netherlands is very long we think we may be back in future again.
Victor W. from Toronto, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 15 days in February, 2012 We found the villa to be very well set up for our family stay. The service staff were very welcoming and hospitable. We loved the location and general set up. The mgmt company was very helpful in organizing our stay and we would work with them again.
Still a great villa and location, but villa needs attention.
A guest from Veghel, recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in November, 2011 We had again a great vacation with 10 people in the villa, but comapred to 5 years ago the villa and management needs attention and maintenance otherwise it will slip down to an unacceptable level relative to the rent paid, facing problems with some airco's and humidity, bath tubs, warm water, fountain, etc.
Brian L. B. from Omaha, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2008 This was our first time and it won't be our last. Everything was as described and we felt at home from the very start. What a great way to enjoy a week in Mexico. Thanks to the staff on-site and management for making this the first of many trips away from the resort crowds.
