Las VIgas get the best of two worlds Lagoon and ocean views!!!
LAS VIGAS get the best of two worlds Lagoon and ocean views!!! Beyond a series of decorative French doors lies a view that captures the beauty offered exclusively on the Riviera Maya. As Las Vigas is located directly where the majesty of the Caribbean Sea meets Akumal's own treasure, Yal-Ku Lagoon, you will see incredible waters of bright blues and emerald greens dotted with tiny islands. Las Vigas is a luxury vacation home perched on one of the most amazingly private pieces of land in Akumal. To allow for ample enjoyment of the Mexican Caribbean views, a partially covered patio runs along the entire oceanfront side of this Rivera Maya vacation home, providing sitting, dining, and lounging areas. There are several chaises longues around the 16x20 infinity pool making it the ideal spot for sunning. A winding cobblestone pathway gently guides you down to the water's edge. With steps and a small, cupped formation in the rocks, there is access into the water on calm days. For star-gazers and the romantic at heart, take the opportunity to enjoy the roof-top observatory, accessed by stairs off the kitchen.
Falling asleep to the sound of crashing ocean waves is one of the best parts of vacationing on the Riviera Maya, and both bedrooms in this amazing vacation home offer this divine luxury! The dreamy master bedroom features a wall of windows to the Caribbean Sea, intricate wooden shelves and entertainment center, as well as an enormous talavera tiled bath with a glass walled shower. Hand-carved headboards made from antique Spanish doors complement the king size beds and are stunning focal points of both bedrooms. With a small, private patio tucked away at the side of the villa, the guest bedroom offers privacy and a gorgeous view of the ocean. This bedroom is extremely spacious, with an oversized bathroom also done in traditional talavera tile.
With large French doors to the Caribbean Sea, the dining room presents a magnificent Mexican carved wood table and chairs; a perfect complement to the motif of this vacation home. A series of skylights hidden behind an impressive wooden beam allow natural lighting to filter down and interact among exquisite pieces of art above a solid wood buffet. For those who love to cook, the spacious and well-designed kitchen of this vacation home will be sure to please. If cooking does not fit into your Riviera Maya vacation plans, try a traditional Mexican feast prepared for you and served to you in the privacy of your own Akumal villa! Sublime!
Las Vigas is a romantic vacation home, tucked out of sight from any other villa with a stunning view of the Caribbean Sea. From a honeymoon in Akumal to an adventure-filled Riviera Maya vacation, Las Vigas is the perfect vacation home for your holiday in Akumal.

Louis and Melissa M. from Kemah,, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in January, 2015 From the moment of arrival to departure we were exceptionally pleased with the home and the amazing caretakers. It was a most relaxing and enjoyable trip. The swim with turtles in the lagoon just steps away was the icing on top of the cake.
Stanley M. from Lyon, Rhone recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 the website does not do it was like staying in the middle of an architectural digest magazine and the view from the pool, with pelicans and a blue lagoon was like the best of national geographic?.great place?.a four wheel drive over a tough road would have helped but it was worth all the bumps
Neil J. from Jundiai, Sao Paolo recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 Las Vigas is located on the KalKu caleta with direct access to the caleta and ocean from the property. The property itself is extremely private due to the well stocked and maintained gardens. THe caretakers (Mercedes and Alex) are wonderful people, very friendly and helpful - Mercedes is also a wonderful cook - try her Cochinita Pibil. The villa itself has a very traditional Mexican feel which I enjoyed tremendously. I would recommend this holiday villa to anyone - at the end of our stay we were very sad to be leaving a wonderfully tranquil and beautiful place. For night time activities go up to the roof after dark, sit back in one of the loungers and stare at the sky on a clear night - the display provided by the night sky stars will amaze you. We are regular visitors to the Cancun/Riviera Maya area and will be back to this villa again soon.
A guest from Toronto, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in February, 2012 Villa Las Vigas is like a dream come true. We've stayed there 3 times now and will be back every year if we can swing it. We are ambivalent about telling our friends about the place... we're worried it will get booked up and we'll be shut out!
Katy W. from Atlanta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2011 Having stayed in a lot of vacation villas - we'd much rather stay in a house than a hotel - this was the best house ever. The view, the pool, the rooftop, the kitchen, everything. Akumal was exactly what we needed with great restaurants in a casual environment (Lol Ha!). Massages on the deck by the pool were amazing. Nothing could beat the dinners we had at the house - the biggest grilled lobster tails we'd ever seen and Mercedes' flan is amazing. Some reviews fault the grill or the stereo - there's a new gas grill or the charcoal grill that works great (you see it in the pics). The stereo played songs from my iPhone perfectly. On the day we were leaving, the love of my life looked at me and said "this is the best vacation I've ever had." I couldn't agree more.
Crystal D. from LOS ANGELES, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 We were actually surprised to find that the house and location was even better than the pictures let on. A perfect place to stay for 2 couples.
Maria R. from Montréal,, Québec, recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in February, 2011 We had an amazing time, the villa was surreal, peaceful and typical of Mexico. We were a family of four; my children said: "We had a joyful time, our jumps in the pool were great, the sea was full of turtles, the iguanas were friendly, and the roof was dreamlike". We travel every year, and this is our favorite family gateway. Thanks for welcoming us with warmth and kindness; the staff made us feel like home.
Jennifer D. from Chicago, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2010 We did have some unfriendly house guests which is expected from having the doors open. Had to kill 2 scorpions, a huge beetle or cockroach and a few crabs. Besides that our stay was absolutely wonderful!!!
Janet C. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2010 I HAD A GREAT TIME AND MUST SAY THAT MARI JO TOOK SUCH CARE TO MAKE SURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE AND LOOK FORWARD TO COMING BACK SOON.
Brent G. from Canton, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2009 Location location location. This was the best spot on the lagoon. The decor was beautiful, the local food fantastic, and the snorkeling unreal. A definate do-over.
Linda T. from Marietta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2009 The villa was spectacular. Beautiful views, great food, friendly people, balmy waters and warm sun...who could ask for more?
Ian M. from Villigen, recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in September, 2009 Villa was perfect - exactly what you hope from a web-based search, but rarely find. A compltely WYSIWYG experience based on the beautful pictures on the web site!
Beau C. from Smyrna, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2008 A perfect getaway for 2 couples or a family. The snorkeling into Yal-ku lagoon was amazing! The view from the pool and patio was just beautiful. Akumal is a quiet little slice of heaven tucked away from the commercial noise of Cancun. It is well worth the drive down, so rent your own car. We always felt safe and secure wherever we went in the area and found the people very friendly. We highly recommend a trip to provision/shop in Playa Del Carmen, a day on the beach in Akumal near Lol-Ha restaurant, and of course happy hour at La Buena Vida! Las Vigas, we will be back!
Jason B. from Woodbury, Minnesota recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2007 Hope to go back some day to relive the dream..... having central ac would have been nice, other than that it was perfect..the view was heaven.
Jonathan D. from Atlanta, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2007 Great house. Beautiful location and furnishings. I would rank this five stars across the board with a couple of minor updates--fix the grill outside, have a stereo that works, and fix the internet service. But this is a great location, beautiful house and what a great stafF!@
