Off road parking was not as adequate as described. They should let guests know that the heater in Casita Flores does not work.

Comfy, convenient casita!
A guest from Roswell, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in August, 2009
A wonderful, relaxing place to stay in Santa Fe. Good location between the Plaza and Railyard. Easy walk to Railyard district; walkable to Plaza, but a little far on a hot August day. Had a couple of small issues with electricity, but management quickly responded and fixed. Nicely furnished. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place with a couple issues
A guest from Burkburnett, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in August, 2009
The place was nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was great and fairly close to downtown. The unit had every utensil, pan and all the dishes I needed. The tub was also nice and relaxing. A couple of the light bulbs were out which made it hard to see at night. There was no HBO just basic channels. A Redbox rental station was at the grocery store so the DVD in the TV came in handy. The internet was fast and worked great. The property description also states that there is off street parking for this unit, however that is not the case. You have to park on the street. The pictures lead you to believe the hot tub is in the rear of the unit. Not so, it's in the far corner and has to be shared with 6 other units. The lock on the unit could use some improvement. The door seemed like it could be kicked open easily. I still felt safe and the neighborhood was nice. I would stay again, but I would stay in a unit closer to the hot tub and so I could park off street.

Charming, responsive and the right price
A guest from Brooklyn, NY recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2009
I found my stay at Casita Flores to be exactly as anticipated--comfortable, well-appointed and perfectly situated. The management was wonderfully responsive when we had trouble with the coffee pot in our kitchen and the propane tank on the grill; both were replaced quickly and efficiently. The photos on the website are entirely accurate and the location can't be beat--absolutely within walking distance to the Plaza and Railyard districts and the many wonderful attractions and restaurants there. There were very few negatives except for a broken closet door hinge and a somewhat cramped shower (but I'm 6'5" tall!)--hardly deal breakers. I would definitely stay at Casita Flores again--a cost-conscious, relaxing place to begin and end truly memorable days in the beautiful city of Santa Fe.

Casita Flores & Digital Nomad - DO NOT RUIN YOUR VACATION!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
Edward P. from Farmington, CT does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 5 days in July, 2009
From time we arrived to our departure - which was within an hour - we very singularly unimpressed with Casita Flores. From the lack of cleaniness to the absence of towels cleaned over our stay (which was to be 5 days), we were totally unimpressed. Gordon claims to have spent $80,000 but on what? New countertops, new appliances, yes - adequate A/C, NO; adequate fixtures, NO.Management thought that 4 towels and one set of sheets were enough for week with no facility to wash or dry. A/C undersized - about 5K BTU - could not handle heat. Final note - I do not normally complain or file these types of grievances - take it for whats its worth - a complaining customer is not a happy customer, and complaints travel further than praise.Gordon - get your act together.

Unfortuneatly we had to cancel our trip and were not able to experience casita Flores. We hope to be able to come to Santa Fe another time and will certainly consider booking Casita Flores.

Great place to stay.
A guest from Medford, MA recommends this property.

Just got back from staying in the Casita. In general is was in a good location, definitely safe and close to town but I thought it would be a tad closer for walkability in "dressed up attire". No big deal. It was spacious and just cleaned, great hot-tub that we used morning and night, cute outdoor sitting area, great sound system etc. I would stay there again for sure!

When we arrived the towels were folded and hanging in the bathroom totally wet.
Joseph & Susan S. from Chandler, AZ does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 3 days in May, 2009
The folded bathrobe on the bed was absolutley wet. And the window air conditioner was missing. Someone came and installed one, but left large openings on either side of the unit where we stuffed with wash clothes to keep bugs out. Window was cracked and none were very clean. Missing light bulb shade in bathroom and bedroom ceiling. Overall apperance was shaby at best. We we dissappointed to say the least. Pictures in VRBO were not the realty of the property.

Good stay for walking tourists
A guest from Santa Fe, NM recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in April, 2009
The cleaning service did not do a very satisfactory job here. There was no handsoap, paper towels, trash bags or can liners. The bathroom hadn't been swept, the hot tub was unclean.However...the location is superb. The parking is adequate. I found the service that booked the casita to be very generous and accomodating. I think that only if the casita had been a little cleaner and stocked with basic amenities this place would be high on my recommendation list. If they are willing to work with you, please give them a try. Overall I'm satisfied.

No Internet, bathroom heater broken, limited hot water, porch light out
A guest from Cambridge, MA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 8 days in April, 2009
We called the property manager the first morning and reported that the porch light was out, asked about wood for the fireplace, informed him that something was wrong with the internet connection (my husband works for Apple and he checked it out thoroughly), that the heater in the bathroom was broken and that there was barely enough hot water to take a quick shower. The porchlight was replaced, and the water heater setting was upped a bit ?), then we never heard from the property manager again for the next 7 nights of our stay.

comfortable and private casita close to town
Lisa M. from Needham, MA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in January, 2009
I love this casita! The room is furnished as one's home rather than a rental unit. In addition to a comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom, there are many thoughtful amenities: wifi, an ipod dock, a humidifier! and kitchen tools and accessories. It is an easy walk to town or to Whole Foods, yet the street feels like a neighborhood and the casita is private.Highly recommended.

The property was wonderful! It was quaint and had a really great atmosphere. Whole foods just a 10 mintue walk away, transportation close as well. I'm sure I will take advantage of this when I am in Santa Fe again.

We really liked the Casita Flores. It was in the area we needed. We didn't see the hot tub area but next time we plan on using it. We are going to come again Feb. 5 thru 7th. And hope to stay in the same complex.

Very friendly and quick reservation process and good price. Would not have been happy with the property at the higher price. I believe the property's amenities are oversold on the web in terms of the niceness of the outside features. Also, the kitchen has a fan that about falls off the ceiling when on anything but low, the cupboard doors hit the fan blades and about give you a heart attack, the dishes and glassware are very limited, the ice cube tray is in at least four separate and leaky pieces, etc. Not a lot of attention to detail in the kitchen, compared with other units we have been in. Overall, we were glad we found a good place to stay at a good price.

Cozy Casita in Santa Fe
Debra F. from Houston, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in September, 2008
This is the second casita we have rented for a Santa Fe getaway. Last year we stayed in Casita Romero in the Guadalupe District and loved it. Overall, our experience was good and we would definitely recommend over a hotel--more like home. The king bed was luxurious and comfy. We did have trouble with smoke from the kiva and the air conditioner nearly drove us mad rattling. But, we were offered another property or a new air conditioner. So, satisfied that our issues were addressed. The location of Casita Flores was great. Both properties were decorated well. We will defnitely be back.

Great Visit to Santa Fe
Diana L. from New Braunfels, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2008
The place was just as the photos showed. It was nice to be able to 'stretch' out while staying in Santa Fe instead of being in a hotel. Very convenient location to the Rail Yard and Farmers Market, Plaza, and Canyon Road. Quiet quaint neighborhood with lovely amenitites. Nice relaxing cd's were provided and were enjoyed very much! We would recommend this place to friends and would definitely stay in one of their other properties on our return to Santa Fe. The managament company was very good to work with and honored all they promised.
