I enjoyed the Casita Bonita so much, very cool decor, the bed was so perfect! Very comfortable! Close to everything you need and the internet capabilty made it so nice to map your day out. Would love to come back and stay again.

Fun time, but disappointed in the hot tub

My husband and I just stayed here as a second honeymoon getaway. We really enjoyed the casita and had a good time. It is very close to the main plaza area (we walked to it each day). The one disappointment was the hot tub. When choosing a place to stay, the one thing that we definately wanted to have was a private hot tub. For modesty reasons we don't wear swim suits in public and we really wanting a hot tub that we could use privately. The website says that there is a private hot tub and the picture makes it look like the hot tub it connected to your casita but it is not. It is communal for everyone staying at the casitas. For most people this wouldn't have been a big deal, but that was the main reason we chose to stay here.

The property was satisfactory. Very small kitchen, but I do not cook on vacation! Bathroom needs some painting and ceiling is peeling as there is no exhaust fan. Several towel hangars were not mounted in studs, so they fell off the wall and the hot water handle in the sink fell off also. For the reduced price, I still feel it was way overpriced. I stayed in lovely bed and breakfasts for $10 less and got a full breakfast and evening wine, cheese and snacks. The parking was full by the unit and the street was busy and full of cars. I would not stay here again.

I was in Santa Fe to attend a healers training and this quiet, charming, beautiful casita was the perfect place to stay. It was so much better than staying in just any hotel...or even the Hilton where my class was held. I loved experiencing the magic of Santa Fe from inside a lovely little cottage in a beautiful neighborhood. Gordon was so easy to work with when I made my reservation....you don't even have to mess around with a front desk or all that bother. It really felt like being at home. Thank you to Gordon for a great place and a great stay!

The vase was broken, the paint was peeling off of the ceiling, the sheets had holes in them, the towel hanger fell off of the wall continuously, and the room was not clean when we checked in that evening.

For $209 a night, we had expected more attention to detail. We arrived after dark, had trouble finding our unit, and since the light adjacent to the door was not turned on, we were unable to see the entry code touch pad. There was no hand or bath soap, no paper towel or napkins, no salt/pepper shaker that wasn't broken, there were not enough clothes hangers (or any with clips for hanging skirts), only a limited supply of dish soap, no dish cloth or sponge. The unit needs more hooks for hanging garments, towel bars in the closets/bathroom. One of the closet doors is off of its track, the towel shelf is coming loose from the wall, the small towel bar fell off the wall, the outside shower curtain is inside out. A channel guide for the TV would be helpful, and instructions for where/how renters are to park their cars. We liked the down comforter, shower, fuzzy robes and blankets. We did not use the hot tub; the tub and its surroundings just didn't look all that appealing.

Very nice stay, but a bit shabby in amenities and repair. Only broken soaps in bathroom, to which maintenance responded "must have been a bad batch", period. Didn't bring more shampoo when I requested, none left, washcloths not brought for 2 days when I requested, one hand towel only, almost no dish soap left to use. Please repair the towel ring next to the sink, it doesn't stay on the wall. A few dish towels in the kitchen and another pot holder would be helpful. Could be much nicer if these things are brought up to snuff. Especially the soap, yuck. Thank you for asking my opinion. Big dust accumulation under the bed when I retrieved something that fell, another yuck.

This is NOT a PRIVATE cabin! It's more like a motel where everyone drives up to their door next to the door of another "cabin" you also SHARE the grill and hot tub with about 6 other "cabins". The room wasn't even that clean. Cobwebs were everywhere and we didn't even have towels. You will not have the password for the WiFi either. Gordy is a jerk who hardly ever answers his phone and when he does he's incredibly rude.

Lighting was poor. Had to use bathroom lighting when I needed light. Couldn't get oven to light. No instructions left in unit.Management not flexible -- tried to give weeks notice to reduce stay because of personal emergency. No option for that.Cold water in kitchen came out in very small stream. Had to use bathroom faucet for water. Management was not able to fix while I was there.

The place wasn't cleaned when we arrived and had to call. That seems to be a problem because when the people next door arrived their place wasn't clean either. The hot water heater was out for two days, which is not a wonderful thing with temperatures in the 20s. Instead of getting a pro in to fix it, they tried to go the cheap route and fix it themselves, which only delayed the process by a full 24 hours. For some reason, while we were out they removed a table from the unit, with no note or explanation, which we found offensive. It's a good thing we didn't have any possessions in one of the drawers.Finally, the jacuzzi did not look clean to us. We have one of our own and know a clean look when we see it. The cover is in such bad shape it's actually in two ragged sections.On the upside, the location is convenient and the room was pleasant.

The bathroom closet door was broken, the hardware was on top of the refrigerator when we arrived. There was no cold water at the kitchen faucet. This created a problem, no dish washer, so dishes needed to be done in the sink but a tough thing to do with only hot, hot water. An e-mail was sent to the property manager at the beginning of our stay but never heard back. I ran into the cleaning person before we left. She was unaware of these issues. Something else that would help your guests. There was a telephone but no telephone number on the unit or in any information that was provided so only local outbound calls could be made. Our cell phones did not work and people said that they would call us but we had no way of giving them the condo tel. no. Also, the telephone number on your property information that was provided for the local person was incorrect. I was trying to reach them to find out what the tel. no. was but could not reach them with the contact number that was provided.

The main box for the wireless internet for all the units is in the Casita Bonita. We had problems with the wifi all week, as well as did the other guests staying around us, which ment that guests and staff members kept coming to our door and trying to get the wifi to reboot, pretty much everyday and at odd times, like early in the morning and late in the evening. Also, just wanted to mention that the Casita Bonita unit was extremely dusty when we arrived, which was frustrating, considering we paid a cleaning fee for when we exit- wondering if the unit was just cleaned by the previous renters, and not profesionally or the profesionals didn't do that great of a job...or it may have been sometime since the unit had been rented out, so maybe the last time it was actually profesionally cleaned had been awhile and dust had really built up since then? who knows...but still any unit should be checked before a new renter arrives in my opinion.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in Santa Fe and found Casa Bonita a very comfortable base. Very tastefully furnished with a very comfortable bed, a small fairly private patio and a very good location. It is a five - ten minute walk to downtown past some government buildings. Although it is around the corner from a major street, there is no road noise even with open windows because the unit itself is part of a compound on a well landscaped "lane" off of a very quiet street. There is a full kitchen and a Whole Foods a few blocks away if you want to go that route; Santa Fe's restaurants are a short walk if you want to enjoy them. Very friendly and responsive management.

With a title "luxury casitas" I guess I expected a little bit more "luxury." Unit was smaller than indicated in pictures with window a/c unit with a cord that wasn't long enough to reach outlet. We left msg for prop mgr regarding this and they said they would bring by extension cord--never did! We finally found one in a bottom kitchen drawer on day 2. Also, there was no indication on website that hot tub and grill were communal to six units. Unit was dusty and window sills were so dirty you couldn't open window without cleaning them out first. Also, jacuzzi tub's drain stopper didn't work - had to pull it out and use a cereal bowl! The location was good if you like a little bit of a walk - which we did. Unit was comfortable, but less than I expected.
