Come enjoy this 2 story bayside single family home on the peninsula! Located between Fernando and Alvarado Avenue, this home is walking distance to shops, restaurants, Balboa Pier and bike rentals. This home features a spacious front patio, fireplace, stainless steel appliances and bay views!
The kitchen, a full bathroom, living and dining room are located downstairs and 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms are upstairs. The living room has 2 comfortable couches with a coffee table, fireplace, armchair and a TV. There is a dining room table that seats 6. The recently updated kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, dual sink and plenty of counter and cabinet space for storing and preparing food. There is a courtyard next to the dining room with a fountain and seating. The front patio has a table that seat 6, an umbrella and a charcoal BBQ, great for cooking for family and friends!
The spacious master suite has a queen bed, TV, sitting area with a couch and beautiful views of the bay! It has an adjoining bathroom with new tile and shower-tub. Windows and glass furniture (TV) had fingerprints everywhere and the floors were dirty- should have been swept and moped . Available space in one of the bedrooms should be utilized with a real twin/full bed instead of the "crib" or "changing table" that is in there . Stayed for 4 days in November, 2011 Just about everyone who came to the house during our stay have lived in newport (and still live in orange county) and have comfortable homes of their own so I did a lot of research on the location and condition of rentals before choosing this property. We all loved the location, being so close to the bay provides water views, quiet nights and privacy, and the beach is a short walk or bike ride across the street- it's the best of both worlds. This property is perfectly charming, well appointed and truly feels like a cared for beach home. The decor and details are thoughtful and show that this is a place that is beloved by the owners, maintained by management and appreciated by guests. Our family spent thanksgiving week here, and it was a delight to cook in the kitchen and have loved ones over; the kitchen is well stocked, the appliances are top notch, we loved the assortment of serving dishes and there is plenty of space and seating in the home. The layout was perfect for my grandmother (no stairs into the house, restroom on the first floor). The property was fantastic, absolutely perfect for a family looking to enjoy newport. We would hop on the beach cruisers and cross the street to ride the boardwalk down to the piers, or to just grab a few items at the small market around the corner, or take a short stroll to the fun zone to catch the ferry to balboa island or a glass of wine at Newport Landing.. I could go on and on.. we can't wait to come back! |

I would recommend this property to others. However with some stipulations. A guest from Pasco, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 We were happy with the location. The property was not in the condition we expected. Hand soap and toilet paper were needed the first day. We had 2 of our party start wheezing and found animal hair in the house. We specifically asked about this. We were told we could park a vehicle in the garage but there was a car there. The heating varied drastically in the various rooms--cold downstairs and too warm in parts of upstairs.We'd still recommend this property but we'd hope you'd take care of a few items first.The personnel in the office we very easy to work with. The kitchen is fabulous and having three updated bathrooms is a true luxury! The bedrooms are huge and the master suite with it's gorgeous view of the bay is a delight. The location is great if you don't mind a little bit of a walk to the waves, which we don't now that our kids are older. Great front porch and plenty of room for bikes and beach stuff on the back patio. The owners have decorated in such a wonderful, relaxed style you instantly feel comfortable and right at home. |

Stayed for 7 days in August, 2009 We appreciated the responsiveness of the management company & availability of bicycles; would strongly recommend providing more bath & hand towels, pillow slips (we had only two for the 4 pillows in master b.r.), toilet paper, liners for kitchen trash can, and at least one more outdoor trash receptacle (two is not sufficient for one week). When we arrived we found the trash overflowing the two receptacles in the alley; similarly we had to pile filled plastic bags along them when we left. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 the house was well equiped and neat. There was a cool breeze through the housewhen the back patio breeze way was open which was good as the weather was hot. The street was a little noisy ( cars starting up in the late evening ) at the weekend. The weekdays were quiet.The hike across the sand at the ocean beach was long for the three and four year olds. W e used the bay beach up a ways on the sidewalk with them. All in all a good place to stay. We loved sitting out on the huge deck with our coffee in the morning and our wine and cheese in the evening. Plenty of room for the whole family. Washer and Dryer came in very handy. We also loved being withing walking distance of the fun zone, balboa ferry, the sandy bay for the little ones to play and the main beach for the older kids to boogie board! We had the best time!! |

Loved our walks along the bay front, over the ferry to Balboa Island, to the fun zone, and to Ruby's on the pier. Haven't done so much walking in a long time. The home had a few bikes for our use so some enjoyed biking. The kitchen had been upgraded since our last stay there and it was very nice. They also added a bathroom in the master bedroom - very convenient. Only draw back was no Internet - had to go through withdrawal but survived. Very homey, great patio in front for sitting, just had a wonderful time with the family and especially our six grandkids. |
