Come and enjoy the beach at this great 2 story 5 bedroom/4 bathroom beach triplex! Located on the sand between 60th and 61st street, this nicely furnished unit is walking distance to shops, restaurants and bike rentals. This home features a spacious front patio, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, gas BBQ and gorgeous ocean views!
There is 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen and living room downstairs and a kitchen, living room, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms upstairs. The downstairs living room has 4 couches, coffee table and a TV. There are 2 barstools up at the kitchen counter for eating. The kitchen features a dual sink, nice granite countertops, built in stove and plenty of cabinet and counter space for storing and preparing food. The bedroom has a queen bed with an adjoining bathroom with a shower-tub. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
To access upstairs, you walk outside to the staircase on the side of the house. The upstairs living room has 2 couches, coffee table, fireplace, gorgeous ocean views and flat screen TV. There is a dining table that seats 6 with 4 additional bar stools up at the kitchen counter. The kitchen has a built in stove, dual sink, dishwasher and plenty of counter space for preparing meals. The master suite has a king bed, fireplace and a nice adjoined bathroom. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a closet, great for hanging clothes! The fourth bedroom has 2 single twins and the fifth bedroom has a twin daybed with a twin trundle.

Even over the 4th of July, we were able to enjoy our activities on the beach without interfering crowds or inebriated individuals. The house provided a great homebase for our family. However, restricting the two locations to only 11 individuals, most of whom were children, was restrictive and expensive, necessitating additonal accomodations elsewhere.I was disappointed that we received only one parking garage and the limited available parking, which resulted in a parking ticket because our vehicle was parked over the sidewalk, although it was in front of our assigned garage. We had several problems with plumbing, baths not draining, disposal problems, etc. This inconvenienced us for several days. For the price we paid, these were a disappointment to us.I was also disappointed at the absence of hangers in the closets. As a resident of the Peninsula myself, there's never enough parking! If you every have any questions about parking ask the person who is checking you in, they will be able to tell you where to park and avoid a ticket. The reason you got a ticket was because you were blocking the sidewalk between the garage and the street. Next time you stay with us, please give us a call about anything, we would have been happy to send over some hangers for you to use. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2011 My main comment about the duplex property is the lower unit is very warm with no windows that open. It made sleeping uncomfortable and therefore my daughter and her friends had to sleep upstairs. The other thing is the 2 car garage is extremely small and could not accommodate our cars. |

We called management and they fixed what they could but the property needed deep repair and cleaning, more than could be solved while we were in the house.We had children that could not sit on the floor or furniture because of the dirt. Our feet and clothes were black from dirt.Interesting, my daughter went out to the beach after we left the house. She saw the cleaning crew, 1 person, go to the Burr White house next door to clean. The cleaning person stayed 30 minutes only. Unless Burr White is paying only 10.00 per house, the cleaning company is not doing the job they are being hired to do. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2010 We enjoyed our stay because of the location. The property has great potential for a large group, but was rundown as I mentioned in the paper we turned in and the kithen did not have enough utensils, mugs etc. for the group. We also did not have blankets on our beds and it was a cool week. The shower in the upstairs master bedroom had mold in it which was not pleasant, but since we spent most of our time outside, we had a great stay. Thanks. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2010 We have rented beach houses in the Newport area for over 10 years. this property was perfect for location. This property has two floors. The bottom floor is definitely the poorer of the two floors. The kitchen is so small the dishwasher won't open all the way. The sliding glass doors were broken so to lock the door we had to put the storm shutters down everytime we left the property. The televisions were micro small where upstairs they had a beautiful big screen. there are no cupboards in the kitchen downstairs. the bottom floor was squeezed in just to be able to get more people into the property. We did schedule for another week next year but I am hoping they make some improvements on the property by then. Burr White was great to send someone over immediately with any of our concerns. poor house, 6001 Seashore Drive Kathleen G. from Scottsdale, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2008 One thing we enjoyed was being on the beach. The property didn't show as well as it was pictured on the internet. It was great being on the beach but the house is old and needs refubishing!! The apt on ground floor is newer with a nice bath an kitchen but the silverware and utensils in drawers in kitchen had mold and were dirty, the manager send a maid to clean the kitchen up right away but in cleaning she threw away all the moldy utensils so we were without any. The dishwasher had standing water and mold and didn't and was reported. The repair man was given the OK to come in anytime to repair it an said it would be scheduled for Monday. He never came to fix it so that was a no no dishwasher downstairs. The middle floor was old ,the rugs were dirty, the kitchen coffee maker had old moldy coffee grounds in it. The glasses in the cabinent were dusty 7 some dishes needed to be rewashed.The refrigerator freezer was not clean. The window had a missing screen in the master bedrm and the ones in the living area were falling off. All of the showers had rust and mold on the grouting, WE had children with us, so the window issue was unsafe! For the amount of money we payed we were very dissatisfied with the cleanlinest of the condo. We are requesting a partial refund due to the problems we encountered. I would not recommend it to anyone. Please call us if you have any interest to discuss the issues. |
