A guest from San Francisco, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2016 Definitely a mixed experience. Not having a blow dryer was an irritant to my spouse, especially when other units that friends were staying in had one. The notice to not use the window unit air conditioner was also problematic. Even after only a few hours of leaving it off as instructed when we went out, one returns to an uncomfortably hot unit. The 2 bedrooms were ok after a short time, but the upstairs loft sleeping area remained unbearably warm until the next morning.
A guest from Twin Falls, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2015 Overall, this was a good experience. The condo was clean. As with other reviews, there were a lot of small ants, but we were careful not to leave food out to attract them. There was a board on one of the stairs that was broken/loose, so we had to be careful not to trip on it. We reported it when checking out, so hopefully, they have repaired it. Our stay was very comfortable and we would recommend this unit.
Dale Y. from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 We had a great time. The unit was clean and well equipped. There were a lot of ants and a few roaches. The AC units in the 1st floor bedroom and the living area do not cool the spaces at all. Maintenance or replacement needed. We also received red bites on our legs - rather itchy. Not sure what bit us though.
Annette S. from Converse, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 16 days in July, 2015 We had a wonderful. Stay at the Estates spending time with family we went back home for a wedding and we always stay at the Estates this year all of the condos are wonderful this year we had 109east and it was all what we expect from estates clean and spacious no problems great location by pool. Would recommend this condo to all. Thanks and Aloha The Sinclair Family. .
A guest from Kaneohe, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 Our family truly enjoyed our stay. There was enough room for all of us, to include a couple of friends that came for dinner. The rental included all the things you'd expect to find at home, and the nearby pool, beach, and outdoor grill were a definite plus. This truly outranks the staycations we've made to Waikiki over the years, and we will definitely be doing this again.
A guest from Mililani, Hawaii recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 Had a great time at this condo. The kitchen had all the cooking, eating utensils and gadgets that one needed. 6 of us were very comfortable, nice view of the golf course and very close to the beach and pools. I would definitely stay here again. Only down side was the air condintioning really only worked well in the master bedroom, the other units really struggled to cool the place down.
A guest from El Cajon, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2014 There is a reason why I go with The Estate at Turtle Bay. You can guarantee my stay at Condo 109 West will be what I come to expect when I go on a vacation. It starts with reservation and the kind of Hawaiian Hospitality you'll receive when doing a reservation with them. Mahalo to Wai and your team in making my family vacation one they will remember.
Estela M. from Ventura, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2014 It was our first time in Oahu, had no idea it would be over an hour drive to the attractions I booked for my family. Other than that, it was great. I didn't want to stay in the city w all it's skyscrapers and busy streets. The condos were clean and spacious. WiFi was free and we had everything we needed. Service was good and checking in and out was easy. Didn't spend much time in the pool since we walked to the beautiful beach. We saw some turtles and the view was incredible. Found some shops close by that sold amazing handmade items and little restaurants w delicious burgers, fish/shrimp tacos and shave ice. Worth staying here, definitely will come back.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 Family enjoyed the entire experience of being on the North Shore, the beach, and amenities of the property. For my elderly mother, unit was handicap accessible with no entry stairs and a larger bath tub. Ants were not a problem. Would definitely consider renting again next year.
A guest from Kailua, HI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014 We checked in on Thursday7/3/14.That evening we discovered the "A/C"didn't work in the upstairs room. You were closed on Friday and Saturday morn. I called and was told there was nothing could be done. Everyone that stayed upstairs sustained BUG BITES. The floors were sticky,a dirty rag was left in the Master bedroom. The A/C units were filthy including the filters. The Dryer filter hose was not secured so exhaust was blowing into the unit.
A guest from Mililani, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 We had a great time at Turtle Bay Estates! We enjoyed the swimming pool, beach, and tennis courts. Can't wait to return for another staycation.
this location was in great shape, very clean, no bugs
Carole N. from Edmonton, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in January, 2014 We have been renting here for many years and always been pleased until this year when we were placed in a unit very much in need of repair .We visited your office and Marilyn changed us to 109 west. It was in great condition and very clean. We were very pleased how well we were treated and that the problem was solved immediately. We will be back next year to rent again. Thankyou Marilyn
A guest from Pleasanton, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 Overall, a nice place to stay at Turtle Bay. The unit was nicely updated and well maintained. If not for the ever present ant/insect problem, I would have rated this property even higher. A great family property that I would stay at again if staying in the Turtle Bay area.
Christopher S. from San Francisco, California recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2013 Stayed here with some friends for a wedding. The location is great?on the golf course, a couple minutes walk to Turtle Bay and a very short drive to any number of beautiful beaches on the North Shore.
Kathleen Y. from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 Pros: What can I say, 109W was ideal for our family. The location and the ease of rolling our belongings from the parking lot into the unit was a plus! ACs in bedrooms and living room were also a plus. Cons: seemed like unit was unoccupied for some time since floors were dusty with lots of droppings. The 1st floor toilet seat had streaks of mold which ran down into the toilet bowl--we had to clean it, and not to mention the toilet screeched so loudly whenever we flushed. The loft had 2 twin beds, but the night stand and the lamp was left in the corner since it did not fit between the twin beds, and without an outlet to use the lamp. It would be nice to have been acknowledged in a friendlier way--checking in and checking out. Newbie was very nice.
Kirsten F. from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in August, 2013 Great Condo, Marilyn was great to work with and super nice. Loved the location, rooms, beds were comfortable and rooms were all clean. I would return for a longer period of time
A guest from Lihue, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 My stay served its intended purpose which was an annual July reunion over the past few years for the family of Hiroshi & Misao Togo of Kahuku.
Sue S. from Lawndale, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 We tried to keep all food put away but the ants were bad, the management did send over a maintainance man who sprayed ant killer with a can of spray, that didn't touch the problem.
A guest from Kailua, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 We were very pleased with the unit we stayed in.Cleaners need to do a better job(we received BUG BITES on our bodies while sleeping upstairs loft.Bath area needed to be cleaned better(toilet area "nasty"),lots of ants.
A guest from Cedar Hills, UT does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2013 In the past we've had a good experience with staying at the Estates, but this particular condo (109 West) was awful. Here is a list of reasons: small bugs everywhere, the dryer vented into the loft making the entire upstairs unbearably hot and humid, mattresses were worn out, one roll of toilet paper, no hand soap, no beach toys at all, only grill available is in the pool area, tiny-almost unusable shower, vacuum did not work well, sliding glass door does no open without extreme force. I brought this up to management and they were apologetic but it ended there. We will stay elsewhere on the North Shore in the future.
Teresa K. from Kansas City, kansas recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 The rental was clean. Of course, we had ants, but understandably with where we were. I was annoyed at getting charged $50 for very cheap towels as I knew one was stained from suntanning oil. $20 would have replaced 2 towels at that quality. I was appreciative of finding a last minute rental when Turtle Bay was sold out.
Sam G. from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 Great place...lots of light, air, all the amenities. Only drawback:mini-ants invade any food left out within minutesair conditioner in master groans when it kicks inno bath in master bathroom, bathrooms are small and datedI thought we would be welcome at the hotel pool but NO!
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. Sorry, but the Turtle Bay Resort and the condos are completely separate entities. There are no exchange amenities.
A guest from Kahuku, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2012 It started off rough but ended Awesome. Loved the condo. However I feel that they could have had more linens, towels and wash cloths. The workers at Estates at Turtle Bay are the bomb. Thank you guys for everything!
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 Very nice. AC worked well. Living room floors were not very clean--several droppings under tv stand, etc. Oven needs to be cleaned. Expected were the tiny ants.
A guest from Isleta, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2012 The condos at Turtle Bay allowed us to have a great experience on Oahu. The convenience of a "home away from home" was perfect for our family. This is the second time we stayed in the same condo. Nothing changed from the first time six years ago. Unfortunately the furnishings were more worn, especially the sofa, and the doors stuck closed even more than during our first stay. The ants were everywhere (as expected in a sub-tropical climate) but were only annoying, no biting. The kitchen was beautifully modern and well appointed. The washer and dryer were very convenient. The air conditioners were nice to have but still left us sweltering on hot August afternoons. That's what the pool is for, though! We will absolutely consider the Estates at Turtle Bay for our next stay on Oahu. But we will ask for a condo with more recent updates in the furnishings and the hardware.
The most relaxing, comfortable, enjoyable, clean, vacation stay
Reviewed by: Debbie M. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 I would do it again and again and again....this was the most comfortable stay compared to a hotel room..I would recommend everyone to stay here and they will realize what staying in Hawaii is really like.
Margaret G. from Albuquerque, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2012 Took kids and grandkids. Rented two units side by side. The units were oerfect for every age group. Felt like home in paradise, golf course out the back door, pools all around, wonderful beaches, beautiful landscape, comfortable beds, I can go on and on. Will recommend to others.
Reviewed by: Kelly J. recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2011 Verrrry nice condo, clean, TV in every room (3) with plenty of space for 6 adults. Of course we had our experience with the ants, but it was our fault, we left the food out to attract them in the first place. Not a big deal. We'd repeat the stay in a second, only 5 minutes from Ted's Bakery, 12 minutes from Waimea, 20 from Haleiwa, 10 from PCC. Perfect location for the North Shore.
A guest from yonkers, new york recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in June, 2011 We rented 109 for 10 days in July. What struck me most when we arrived at the unit is that the pictures of the unit on the ETB website are an extremely accurate portrayal. The unit was neat and clean and sleeps 6 comfortably and we would definitely rent the unit again. With that said, and you are fairly warned in advance, the bathroom and kitchen sinks do have ants. While they are explained away because you are in "the tropics" something really needs to be done. It is not an infestation, or repulsive, it is just something you would rather not see. All in all, you cannot beat the value, the location at the resort and on the North Shore. My advice would be to go every chance you can
Reviewed by: Kristen M. recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2010 Thank you so much for helping to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. We happened upon your agency because we had originally rented from the "other" rental agency and were assigned 160 West. The unit was deplorable and their were cockroaches to greet us when we walked in the door. There were many other issues, but the straw that broke the camels back was when the refrigerator stopped working and we lost all our groceries we had bought earlier that day. Thankfully Maralyn Tilley and Susan Pantier were working in your office and heard about our experience with the other agency. They went right to work to see if they had a comparable unit for us to finish up our week. And fortunately, they had a two star, two bedroom, two bath plus loft available that needed cleaning. So within the afternoon, we were able to get a refund from the other agency and move into unit 109 West which was absolutely lovely. We are so thankful for Maralyn and Susan. We wouldn't have had such a nice vacation without them. The unit was terrific and I will look forward to renting with you again. I would like to personally thank both of these ladies for stepping up to the plate to help us make our long-awaited Hawaiian vacation an enjoyable one.
A guest from Kapaau, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 This unit was wonderful. The only thing lacking was the amount of large bowls & pots. Beautiful kitchen & everything worked well.
A guest from Kailua, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2009 Very nice property. You will enjoy your stay guaranteed. Be aware, the kid pool changes on a weekly basis so you may have to use a different pool if traveling with kids. Not a big deal, more of a heads up.
Elizabeth C. from Mililani, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2008 Aside from total harassment from Security, I always love staying in this Condo and dealing with everyone in the management office.
A guest from apple valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2008 We would have been very satisfied but the second floor bedroom airconditioner was putting out warm air all four nights that we were there. It was not repaired before we left.
Charlotte I. from Kaneohe, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2008 Clean enough but ants all over the place and bugs upstairs. The bathtub drain and kitchen faucet needs some fixing. Linens were clean I'm sure but needs to feel and smell cleaner. Towels were kind of worn.
Darlene F. from Safkatoon, SK recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2007 We'd definitely stay there again. It was bright and clean and nice decor. Kitchen had everything you needed ... plates, utensils etc.
Loved the high speed internet.
Only downside is that one of the rooms, front bedroom, was musty or had a bit of mold.
