Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in June, 2016 Turtle Bay Resort was far enough from the craziness of south side of Island and on such a beautiful location on North Shore. We enjoyed the walk we took almost every morning. We sometimes went 2 - 2.5 hours walk.Nice to be close to Polynesian cultural center ( we took an advantage to go back for the second time in three days ) and enjoyed beautiful ride back on the east coast after we climbed to the top of Diamond Head. We picked up nice fresh cut up fruits from the fruit stands not far away from our condo and picked all our grocery from two locations of foodland market. Ground was kept nice and clean and enjoyed the scene and scent of many tropical flowers around us.
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. Aloha. Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us. I'm happy that you enjoyed your stay and I'm looking forward to having you again as a guest.

A guest from Mountain View, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2016 We really only slept here, but it was good housing for that purpose. It got hot at night (April), but the bedroom downstairs has a fan and an AC unit that worked well. There is a washer/dryer in unit, which was nice, but the dryer shrunk some of our clothes, which was bad. Getting into the room was easy, but returning the keys to an offsite office a few miles away was a pain. All in all a good experience for the price, but nothing fancy.

Ana M R. from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2015 It's always great to get away from town.I love the location and price of the turtle bay estates but I think some upgrades to the unit we stayed in could definitely be used.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2015 The condo was roomy, but the bedroom was musty. The bed was only a double, not a queen like we expected. The bathtub didn't drain properly, so taking a bath was out of the question. I would give the bathroom/bedroom an overall 3. Little lower than average. The kitchen amenities were beautiful, well equipped and very clean. The location is great, also--just a couple of miles away from all the surf spots --N Shore. I would definately stay on the property again--the price was right for a few days getaway from the hustle and bustle of town.overall 3.5 stars

Stayed for 4 days in March, 2015 We were enjoyed at 101 Estate at Turtle bay.We stayed 4 night with family (2 adults 2 junior).Bed room ,and amenities and laundry are good.Check in is no-problem.but when check out ,I don't go easy return place.and I want document for BBQ in the Pool space.I Enjoyed jogging and golfing ,horse riding, and swimming. I recommend this room for family. Have a nice day.
A guest from Minneapolis, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2015 Adequate, but not excellent, but the quality was relative to the price point.Things they could improve? sticky carpeting needs replacing, update furniture and decor, give it a good paint job, repair the lopsided stove top, adjust the feet on the fridge so that the fridge door closes completely, spend some time doing a sincere "deep clean" (for example, all the fans -ceiling and floor fans- were layered with dust and not all that efficient), the bathroom could be ventilated better, and a simple addition of a retractable clothes line would preserve furniture better, as the only legit place to hang wet/damp items was over furniture. But the location was nice.. near the adult pool and off a quiet stretch of the golf course, and easy-access to Turtle Bay resort. There is no sunrise or sunset view. The linens were adequate, the bed coverings could be updated. The ants were not as bad as I was expecting after reading other reviews, but they certainly were an issue (bring zip-lock baggies). I loved that there was decent tupperware and dishes. Knives could use a good sharpening, and the bathroom rug was a little grubby. The ice maker was quick and efficient, the shower was hot and had powerful pressure, the dishwasher/washer/dryer were in good shape and did a nice job. We didn't use any of the tv's. The wifi was good.
A guest from Rio Rancho, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2014 The unit was clean and comfortable. The east window by the stairs to the loft needs a covering to keep the morning sun out. I enjoyed early morning breakfasts on the porch watching the sunrise and workers getting the golf course ready for play.
Robert M. from Provo, Utah recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in June, 2014 This condo worked out great for our family. The location is amazing. The layout of the condo is great. It has all the amenity's you need. We stayed for 11 nights and had an amazing vacation. The full kitchen and washer and dryer were convenient. We didn't have any bugs or ants. We paid extra to have a pack n' play and this condo already had one included. Wish we would have known that. The ceiling fans and the box fan in the master bedroom barely moved and need replaced. They should put a screen window in the side window to catch the amazing cross wind. That's a couple minor fixes. Overall it was a great, clean condo.
Nice location, but management poor on arrival. Rusty O
Sandra S. from Seven Oaks, Kent does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 Nice condo. Management failed to contact me with directions and where to find key. Telephone number given went straight on to answerphone. At 10o'clock at night after 29 hours travelling, not very helpful!
Rita C. from Barnum, Minnesota recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2014 The only problem we had was not being able to contact management after 4:00 PM and on the weekend to help us solve an internet problem that we were having. it had a simple solution once we figured it out but it was frustrating in the mean time. It was an awesome place to stay and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would come back in a heart beat!
A guest from Port Alberni, recommends this property. Stayed for 13 days in February, 2014 I phoned about 30 days prior to my booking that my flight had been revised by one day and I received a credit advice for $142.00 but on my final charges the $142.00 was reversed and charged to me . Further to that My revised flight was cancelled so did not take possession of the unit for another day and because of weather for return flight I checked out as day early .The 2 nights I understand are my problem and don't expect a credit but I would certainly like a credit for the night I cancelled well in advance . Please reconsider my charge . Thank you . JOE VAN BERGEN
A guest from Irvine, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2013 the condos on the turtle bay golf course are are all very located and this one had a lovely view. It had comfortable bedding and plenty of towels and blankets. I usually book on VRBO directly with the owners where I find better flexiblitity with checking in/out. I don't like the strict rules on times and having to drive out of the way to the sugar mill to pick up/drop off keys. overall it was a great place at a very reasonable price.
A guest from Honolulu, Hawaii recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 It was a pleasant experience for us. Only problem w this unit was it was warm inside of the unit. The fans that was provided didnt help much with the warmth. Ceiling fan was not working properly. Ac in the living room would've helped.
Robert H. from Livingston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 Our time went well. Our impression was it had not been occupied for awhile. Both TVs did not work. I bought batteries for the remotes and the one in the living room worked. didn't get many channels. the TV in bedroom was removed, not replaced. The neighbor below seemed to have a mental/physical problem which got security involved. When we checked out we left a letter.
Reviewed by: JOANNA M. recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 I did enjoy my stay at Turtle Bay Estates. The condo was adequate. The stove burners are not accurate. You have to visually gauge the temperature of the heat by looking at the burner while cooking to determine the temperature/heat you want. The towels; albeit folded neatly, discovered sand and I'm not sure what else in it when I dried myself after a shower. The living room ceiling lite did not turn on/off for us; but the fan worked. TV in bedroom did not work. Otherwise, the place was adequate for our stay. The residents who lives next to our unit was ok.

A guest from Discovery Bay, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 The place was nice and comfortable inside and provided everything (except some beach chairs that would have been nice). The only drawbacks were noise. This condo is so close to the main highway and is very noisy day and night. It is also right on the golf course and the gardeners were mowing the lawns on their ride on lawnmowers very early in the morning (as to not interfere with golfers) and lasted quite a while. Needless to say, we had to keep the back doors closed. There were sooooo many families in the complex with children who seem to love the pool area which is fine but the screaming children in the pool make the complex so loud so we kept the front doors closed as well. All in all, it was a very noisy area which we were surprised to find.
A guest from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 We enjoyed our stay at the Turtle Bay Estates. It was all arranged from Canada and the Condo was clean, comfortable and well equipped with Kitchen, Laundry, Family Room and Bed Rooms.( We were NOT aware that the Office was 3.5 miles from the Estates, so check-in between 3 and 4 is recommended. Also, there was NO clear Sign at the 'Sugar Mill' were the Office was.)

Sure there were some tiny ants it is a tropical location after all what do you expect. But the unit was very clean and had lots all the utensils etc. We felt very spoiled by this accomodation and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this unit to our friends

Check in without any issue, check out - drop the keyes.Good and quite place to stay with family. Tennis courts work well at morning and evening, if you bring your tennis rackets. Wi-Fi access to internet, free parking close by, full kitchen.Nice walking trails close-by. Trails go to west and to the east from Turtle bay resort hotel, options to walk on sand service or around trees in shadow very close to the beach line. Best beach around IMHO Waimea Beach. Turtle bay beach for swimming is boring and small, waives stop by the lava barrier, sand quality poor, hotels close by occupied this beach with hotels chairs, big umbrellas.Close-by Foodland market nice place to buy food, and it only 5 miles in both side from this place, turtle bay in the middle between two Foodland?s.Will be nice to have shampoo in unit and useful in beach sets as chairs, blanket/mat, umbrellas. Will be willing to stay there again if it will be available.
Reviewed by: RICKEY S. recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 Best accommodations closest to BUYH. Very restful and quiet. Unit does show it's wear but is clean and everything works as described. Beds are comfortable. We didn't need to use the A/C at all. The washer/ dryer seemed newer and it was so nice to not go home with bags of dirty clothes. Bathroom fixtures work but shower could use upgrade and toilet "shirrils" loudly when flushed. Towels were provided and kitchen is ready to use for cooking. Ceiling fan in living room needs to be replaced or fixed as it hardly moves.Be sure to read all the info when using late arrival as we didn't see the security code for the WIFI until almost the last day.
James B. from Forest Grove, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 Great place to stay and a great value! The DVDs that were at the place were a hit with the kids. Very comfortable and a good location. The only drawbacks were the ants (just an annoyance), the toilet makes a horrible screeching noise when flushed, and the shower wouldn't really engage all the way so there was a lot of water going to the tub instead of the shower. Other than that, the place was great! Mahalo!

A guest from Los Angeles, California recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2011 This is the second condo I have stayed at up at Turtle Bay. I thought it was a great value for the price. The pictures online do not show the great lanai space which overlooks the golf course and has some very comfortable furniture. We did quite a bit of cooking and the only negative I can think of is that we could not get a couple of the stove top burners to work, and the ones that did work always seemed to be on extremely high heat regardless of the setting. A minor inconvenience, however.
A guest from Kapolei, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 Loved the place, would stay there again. Only thing was the toilet tissue holder kept on falling off and the shower inner liner needs to be changed or cleaned. Overall, everything was great!

The only problem we had was that we arrived at night after a long journey and there was noone on duty at the carpark booth so we couldn't get in. We ended up driving to the hotel to get someone to ring and give us a code to get in. Would be a good idea to give better instructions if arriving after hours.

A guest from Dewinton, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in March, 2009 We found the condo to be very clean, convenient and affordable. We would like to have seen some more attention payed to the amenities (stove didn't totally work, toilet was unstable). We would also like to see some non perishable basics included for general usage (sugar, oil etc.). Perhaps there is a reason for the omission, but that would be a nice bonus. Beyond that we were VERY pleased with the wireless internet access. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes, and for the rate we paid we can't complain as the beach was excellent.
A guest from Reno, NV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2009 over all we thought the place was great. there were ants but in Hawaii this is common... they aren't really a problem unless you leave food out. it was a long walk to the beach. other than these caveats I would highly recommend it, especially for the price.
