Enjoy swimming from the dock in front of this modern cottage with beautiful sunset views between the islands of the Upper Rideau. A quick boat-ride takes you to the renowned town of Westport, that boasts great scenery, shopping, and restaurants.
Two kayaks are available for a trip in the still protected waters behind the islands that are out from the cottage. Take advantage of the great fishing in the area, and enjoy the scenery from the large elevated deck, or the dock on the property.
Local "Loonie Sports Club" available for rent for Curling, lawn bowling, tennis and more. The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, parties, and lots more!
This cottage is conveniently located not far off of highway #15 at the halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, 40 minutes from the Canada/USA border, and only one hour and 25 minutes from Ottawa. A great place for extended Families to congregate.

A cancellation made by the Renter shall be in writing and addressed to Rideau Lakes Property Management at the address stated at the top of the booking application form. Cancellation can also be emailed and will be considered accepted once a confirmation reply is received. On receipt of such notice of cancellation, we shall endeavour to re-book the holiday accommodation for the period of the original booking. If we are successful in rebooking the holiday accommodation for the entire period originally booked, we will refund to the Renter all monies paid (whether deposit or full payment has been made) less an administration fee of $100.00 per period booked. If we are unable to re-book your holiday accommodation, then all monies paid by the Renter (whether deposit or full payment has been made) shall be forfeited. If we are unable to arrange the rental of the Property, due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disaster, we will attempt to arrange alternative holiday accommodation of a similar type and cost and standard and in a similar location as that originally requested by the Renter. If the alternative holiday accommodation and/or rate is not acceptable to the Renter, we shall refund in full to the Renter all monies paid by him/her to Rideau Lakes Property Management. Requests by the Renter to switch to different cottages other than the ones that have already been booked by renter, will be provided only if the original booking property/time can be re-booked, and it will result in an additional administrative charge of $50.00.
Terms and Conditions:
Reservation is secured with a 30% deposit paid via personal cheque (if time permits) direct deposit, or email money transfer, completed renter's contract (forwarded with booking information), and post-dated cheques for the balance of rent and security deposit. Security deposit cheque will be held in trust and not cashed unless needed to due to damages or cleaning expenses incurred. If no damages or cleaning fees are to be with-held, the Security Deposit cheque will be mailed back, marked void within one month of check-out. Taxes/Cleaning fee- $250 added to each booking covers all taxes and fees
Pricing Notes: ***High Speed internet!*** Cottage also comes with a fireplace, 2 small kayaks and an aluminum boat. Cottage is close to Narrow's Lock and Westport by water, and Big Rideau Lake, Portland, Rideau Ferry through one lock, and the other direction is the town of Newboro, and Chaffey's Lock through one lock as well. Bedroom configurations: three bedrooms with double beds (one of these is a futon), and one with a single bed. There is also a futon in the living room.
