Two kayaks are available for a trip in the still protected waters behind the islands that are out from the cottage. Take advantage of the great fishing in the area, and enjoy the scenery from the large elevated deck, or the dock on the property.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, area events, and lots more

Cottage is close to Narrow's Lock and Westport by water, and Big Rideau Lake, Portland, Rideau Ferry through one lock, and the other direction is the town of Newboro, and Chaffey's Lock through one lock as well.
