horrible experience - never again A guest from San Francisco, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 I have rented vacation houses from this company several times, this has been by far the WORST experience. I had a terrible customer service provided by George and Carol and their staff. I had an issue with a pass for the guest car, had to spend an enormous time on the phone and in person on my vacation time, what a waste. The house did not have any garbage bags, paper town or even dish soap, I had to buy everything. The floor in the kitchen was sticky, and mind that I had paid cleaning fee upfront and I would expect if I am charged a cleaning fee to be cleaned after me, the same would happen to the previous person that rented before me. Oh, and by the way, how about a flat tire in front of the house, since the driveway is so rocky, there is no walk path to he house entrance. |

Charming Cabin in a lovely wooded setting close to fun activities A guest from Lawrence, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We really enjoyed the town of Groveland. The downtown was lined with charming shops with friendly people and good restaurants! Our cabin was hidden in a beautiful gated subdivision with a lovely lake. We enjoyed the amenities such as the country club for dinner, the lake and marina for swimming and the stables for horseback riding. We also drove into Yosemite two days which is a beautiful 45 minute drive from Groveland. We weren't expecting the cabin to have AC and a washer /dryer so it was a bonus when it did! This was a really nice place to relax and the price was right! |

Pine Mountain Lake was a great find Allan F. from Dublin, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2008 Our young kids enjoyed this more than Tahoe. It's very peaceful and the beaches are safer. The kitchen was well stocked. Carpets were a bit used but that was a minor thing. The realtor office was wonderful - helpful and responsive. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2008 This property in need of a good cleaning - many cobwebs, other people's hair in the bathrooms and generally unclean feeling. There are not enough blankets for the beds - and those that are there are in need of a washing! The pillows all needed to be thrown out. And someone's old sleeping bag should not be considered a blanket for a bed! The carpet is light, but there is nothing to wipe your feet on as you enter and no vacuum cleaner to help with this issue. In the kitchen cabinets are jars of molding items, and the front door does not close unless you deadbolt it. Worst of all, you cannot make anything but emergency calls on the telephone, so it's very difficult to call and complain about anything! And you can't even order a pizza unless your cell phone happens to work, which mine did not. All in all, it was rather close to a camping experience as opposed to a home rental. Although this house was on the low end price-wise, I think it was overpriced for what I got! |
