A guest from Alameda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2016 The good: Great location, nice property. The bad: The management company didn't prep the property for occupancy (some dirty pots, no sheets, no towels etc), but their response was fast and courteous. As a whole, it wouldn't be fair to penalize the place. That said, the discount/credit they promised didn't materialize. So perhaps my experience is an outlier.
Lincoln G. from San Jose, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2016 The place didn't had network coverage, no wifi.Lot of ants in the house and found a very huge spider in the house. The backyard was also not clean.
Shambu V. from Santa Clara, California recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2016 Its pros and cons time :).Pros:Very spacious house with large bedrooms.Inside of the house is elegant and charming. The kitchen was fully loaded with most of the stuff you need.30 - 45 mins to Yosemite entranceCons:The patio was dirty with bird droppings. No signal for T-mobile and ATT(Not an issue with the house though) but they have a home phone.
A guest from Culver City, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2016 The home was clean and comfortable. It was very comfortable for 6 adults. The driveway is steep and would benefit from more night lighting.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2015 Entering the quaint little town of Groveland was just as magical as our entire stay! Thank you, for offering the warmth of a home away from home experience. To be able to have a key that opens a door, welcoming you the moment you walked in the doorway as if you owned it. Having all the conveniences of your own home and city gave you the assurance that those few days there, your family would be allowed to create such wonderful memories in this cabin at Pine Mountain Lake. A serene setting during the winter, ( New Year's Eve, get away from the city ) where the scenery is blessed with God's perfect nature and beautiful families of deer that greet you gracefully every morning. Definitely leaves you with the desire to return again. A day trip to Yosemite was a great outing, filled with shimmering snow ! Can't imagine what the summertime would be like, especially at the marina down by the lake, enticed by all it's accommodations offered .
Crystal B. from Huntington Beach, California recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2015 It was a great experience, from booking, to the welcoming feeling we had when we arrived. Beautiful location, amazing views, gorgeous property. We're definitely going back.
Anita A. from South San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2015 The three days we stayed, were restful, comfortable and nothing was needed that the homeowners didn't provide for. We used three of the four bedrooms. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were great. The kitchen is well equipped, the 3 tv's worked and the fireplace kept us warm in the evenings. We were able to relax, stay warm and visit with our family there for three solid days! Only one warning to visitors, have an experienced confident driver with you to maneuver the steep driveway with no turnaround space at the bottom of the hill, with parking for three cars and no turnaround space unless you drive a Smartcar!
A guest from San jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 This was a really nice property. The furnishings were warm and inviting. Outside, they have a large deck in the trees. We enjoyed barbecuing at night after a fun day at the lake. It felt spacious. We also booked this very last minute (day of) and I was very surprised how accommodating the property management company was.
A guest from Chico, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 We rented this home to use as our base for a three day Yosemite vacation. In terms of location to the park, this home is at the edge of the Pine Mountain Lake area, so it was easy to get in and out of the development. The overall condition of the house was barely adequate, the bathroom rugs hadn't been cleaned after the last visitors, we found a dirty hand towel shoved in one of the kitchen drawers, there were towels and other junk just sitting in the corners of the closets. The first night we arrived as I was closing the door to the shower, the heavy shower door fell off, almost hitting our 7 year old son on the foot. The washing machine didn't work. Even though the price was good, it wasn't worth the $200 per night that we ended up paying (by the time taxes, fees, etc are considered). Definitely wouldn't rent this home again.
Javier P. from Garden Grove, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 we had a very nice holiday in this house meets everything they promise you recommend this house my children were very happy deer yard wing dela arrive home You can walk to the lake so you save him pass recommend
Parth P. from Allston, Massachusetts recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2015 We spent 5 days at this cabin, and used it as our base camp for hiking/touring in Yosemite. The cabin is about an hour drive to the park entrance and an hour and a half drive to Yosemite Valley (the valley floor). We parked in Curry Village which took about an hour and a half drive from the cabin. The cabin is spacious enough to fit about 6 people, we had 4. I'm sure you could fit 8 if you're willing to share beds. The kitchen was fully stocked with pans/spices and there is a deck outside with a great propane BBQ.There is also a supermarket close by if you need to replenish your supplies. The driveway is a bit tough to find/park in, but not too difficult after your first try.Great place to stay if you can't afford the High Sierra Cabins in Yosemite or couldn't get camping reservations in the actual park.
Jean S. from Farmington, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2015 We were very happy with our stay. The house looked exactly like it did on the webpages we used to book it. The beds were comfortable. The home was a good general repair, there were a few things that needed to be fixed, but everybody's home has that. It was pretty obvious that the last renters did not know how to wash dishes so I had to clean dishes before I could use them. In the evening other nearby homes had barking dogs which is something my family was not used to, they did quiet down near bedtime though. We definitely would stay there again.
A guest from Vista, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2015 We had such a wonderful vacation and would definitely choose this rental again. We loved the location with easy access to Yosemite and Gold Country. The community pool and marina swim area were favorite amenities. The home was large and inviting. Deck is a highlight. Be aware that the living room area is smallish for larger groups. Our family of 4 had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy.
Robert D. from Denniston, Kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 Had a great couple days in Yosemite. House is about a half hour from Yosemite NP north gate. When we arrived the linens were not there but with one call to the mgt office they had them delivered, even though it was 9pm. Great customer service. House is exactly as it is described. Did not spend alot of time there other than sleeping, but would recommend. Driveway is a little tricky but was able to get in and out with our large SUV. Overall a good place to stay.
A guest from Johnson City, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 The house was nice and in a good location, but a bit hard to find using the map in the lockbox.I was a bit dismayed with all the pet stains in the carpets ... if we had a toddler in our group we would have been very concerned about this. Also, we used fewer than half the linens ... I feel that we should receive a refund of a portion of the linen charge.
Inge v. from Amsterdam, Noord-Holland recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2014 We stayed in this lovely house over christmas as the start to our holiday. The christmas atmosphere in the house, including a christmas tree, was fantastic. The fully equiped kitchen made it possible for us to set a very festive meal on the table. The location, close to yosemite, is great. So during the day we made long dayhikes and in the evening we relaxed with good food and reading a book infront of the fireplace. We couldn't have wished for a better place! The beds were also very comfortable by the way.
Olga D. from San Leandro, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 I would say that pictures shown underestimate the house. It's a very beautiful house with the large and amazing deck. We stayed there 2 night and 3 days and everyone enjoyed their stay.
A guest from Sycamore, Illinois recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2014 After reading the reviews and considering other options we chose this rental property. The house was clean and cozy and a good place to base our Yosemite vacation from. Groveland is a quaint little town with good food and good people. The house was plenty big for our family of 5 and very comfortable beds. Some of the review complained about road noise, which there is some, but that did not bother us. After all it was a place to stay not a place to live. The bathrooms were nice and the a/c worked well. I would stay here again if in the area. Thanks
Haris K. from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 Second time in this rental. This is a great house situated in a nice secluded location. Good clean furniture. TV is old. Need to replace with HD flat screen. All in all a great house.
A perfect place to take rest and to feel like heaven.
Fnu R. from Concord, California recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in May, 2014 We were Tired but still felt like not sleeping and having fun the whole night. All facilities available. Just the telephone network was not there. It would be great if we can have a land phone connection Since the mobile network doesn't help anywhere around there.
Alex F. from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 13 days in August, 2013 Overall is good. What bothered us was the bad odor in the basement. Also, the neighbor in the next house (permanent resident)lets his dog out very early in the morning and keeps yelling at it. So, every morning sleep was ruined.
Reviewed by: Jim M. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 It's hard to get down to the drive way. When I first walked into the house I smelled the musty odor and I needed to open all the windows to let fresh air in.
Lorie L. from Shingle Springs, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2013 The cabin was wonderful. Very quaint and homey. We loved it. Nice place and even had full propane tanks for the bar b que. The only downfall was the musty smell in the downstair rooms. We were delayed on our trip through the yosemite park and did not have our lock box number. One phone call to the answering service and the office came back and waited for us until after 7pm to deliver our keys in person. That was amazing. Overall I would say we were extreemly satisfied and hope to come back again. My grandson especially loved the lake and accomodations for him to play. Thank you.
Russell P. from Antelope, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 Over all very pleasant experience, Enjoyed the somewhat secluded location. Although we did not use the Television much during the stay, a flat panel HD set in the living room would be a nice and not to expensive upgrade to the cabin. We will consider a return visit.
A guest from Guerneville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2013 We had a great stay at our Pine Mountain Custom Rental. The home was very nice and in a beautiful setting. We could not get enough time on the deck! Also, the PMCR staff were wonderful from the start of booking our reservation through checkout. We would definitely come back to PMCR!
Denise D. from Benicia, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2013 Only stayed one night but absolutely loved it. Everything was wonderful at the house. Great kitchen and well stocked. Rebecca at property mgmt was very helpful. I hope to return soon.
A guest from Santa Cruz, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 Fantastic privacy--lovely deck. Only reason I didn't give location a "5" was that you can hear street noise from nearby busy road. But it didn't get in the way of having a very pleasant stay.
Mike M. from Pleasanton, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 If you love the mountains, pine trees, deer, a nice lake for swimming, in a beautiful home, with all of the amenities, this is the spot.
A guest from Ontario, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 house was beautiful, loved the location. had a few problems, but was immediately taken care of by the rental company. can't wait to go back. thanks again.....
NATALIE R. from SACRAMENTO, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 The house was beautiful inside & out, deers in the backyard everyday were a plus, kind of far from Yosemite National forest but to tell you the truth I think that the sites outside Yosemite such a Rainbow Pool were less crowded, more economical & more fun to visit. The lake was nice but it's small & not dog friendly & it's not worth the $15.00 to visit. The one downfall are the $300.00 + in misc fees in addition to the rental amount I feel it's pretty expensive for what's provided.
Property Manager Response: Response from Pine Mountain Custom Rentals The fees are for a car pass, tax and cleaning so when you leave you need to take your time a do house work. Also, dog fee not per night but per visit. We disclose all these fees upfront to all of our guests. It does sound like you had a great timePine Mountain Custom Rentals
Jeffrey W. from Redwood City, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 We stayed for just 2 nights up from the Bay Area. The house was very cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed to do some cooking and grilling. The location outside the gate made it very easy to get on the main road to Yosemite and just a few minutes to the store and town. I particularly enjoyed the deck and BBQ, as well as some toys downstairs for my toddler to enjoy. We will be back.
A guest from Franklin, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 We spent four lovely nights with our son and his two grown children. Our grandson is currently enrolled in culinary school on his fifth "mod" and found a delight in all the excellent cooking utensils. We had chef gourmet food every day and it was so fun to watch him showing off his culinary expertise. This was totally a surprise that the kitchen was so expertly equipped. The rest of the house was quite elegantly appointed and the deck is just glorious with lots of deer and Stellar jays to entertain us. We laughed, played games and took family photos on the deck. In fact we loved being at this home do much we did not even go to stay at the lake we just drove to lake, looked without even getting out and got ice cream at the ice cream shop in Groveland and returned to laugh and play some more at the house. We found the home spotlessly clean. Thank you for helping us make a lifetime memory.
A guest from Mill Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2012 This cabin is in a quiet setting, has beautiful furnishing, and is near town. We loved it, and spent our evenings grilling on the deck. Totally recommend it.
Anthony Q. from Brentwood, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2012 The Esparza Cabin has been a place of personal relaxation and a fun family home.We just Love the place. Carol is gem to work with. Always professional, but mostly, just good people to have nearby. We plan to go again soon during summer, fall and winter (Christmas time). Thanks you guys, for Everything you do!Sincerly,Anthony Quiroz
A guest from Millbrae, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 Our group of seven adults really enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very comfortable and clean. We wish we could have stayed longer in order to enjoy the patio and bbq grill, the beautiful surroundings, and the awesome lake more. This location is as close to Yosemite as you can get without actually staying in the park, so it was quite convenient.A couple of downsides is that Groveland shuts down pretty early in the evening so we had to plan accordingly to get our groceries and eat. Also, it seemed that we ran out of hot water pretty quickly for our showers. That being said, I would definitely stay here again and recommend this home for those wanting to stay near Yosemite.
RELLY G. from YORBA LINDA, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 A great house, pictures do not do it justice. We had a wonderful time. Thank you !! Would definetely stay there again.
Reviewed by: Melissa S. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 this is a wonderful house, the deck is awesome we ate out there every meal, the driveway is a bit of a challenge if you have a big rig but manageable.
A guest from Dublin, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 The only reason I'm not giving this place a 5 star is because it was a little hard to find, although we got there when it was dark and getting in and out of the driveway is somewhat of a challenge. Other than that the place is awesome. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.
A guest from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2010 A nice property to rent. Great place to relax with friends or family. Town is nice and quiet and pretty close to Yosemtie. Driveway was a bit tough to get into, but once you got used to it, it was not a problem.
A guest from San Mateo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2010 Love the property however parking passes are needed for the beaches as this is the reason for staying at PML. Otherwise perfect.
Property Manager Response: Response from Pine Mountain Custom Rentals The property management team has gone to great lengths to make your stay pleasant and comfortable as possible. They have gone as far to give you their personal owners entry pass, risking a fine by PMLHOA, so you could park on the Marina. As it was explained, owner passes are not available to guests.
