Great 26th Birthday!
Alejandra M. from SACRAMENTO, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2016 I rented this cabin for my birthday. It was a blast. Great location, lots of space for fun activities.Thank you!
Rianna S. from Oakland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2016 This house is perfectly located. A quick walk to Dunn Ct. Beach and also right on the water with a dock. Also, it is set back from the road so you don't have to worry about kids playing outside (we have little ones, ages 3-7). The kitchen was pretty basic (no dishwasher), but serviceable. The house was clean and had everything you would need. The rental agency is great and really helpful! We always rent from them, and they go above and beyond.
Jackie B. from Half Moon Bay, California recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in June, 2016 We haven't been to Pine Mountain Lake in 4 years and this was the first time staying at this rental unit. We were excited to return and looked forward to spending 10 days with our Grandsons ages 12 & 9. The unit was on the lake with a dock perfect for my Grandson to fish from. Unfortunately no trout or bass were caught this year! We had a great time and the weather was perfect!
Guangting L. from Redwood City, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2016 It was an ok stay. The cabin is roomy and the beds were very comfortable. A few problems described below:1. there's no dish washer (I wasn't pay attention to it when I booked it).2. The morning call from woodpecker at 6 am everyday is just too much for me.3. It took me 45 minutes to go through the community gate for the Friday night. Then 15 minutes for the Saturday night. At least the guard can open the resident gate to let the pre-registered guest to go through instead of waiting in the long line.4. No cell phone signal & internet service.
Kathleen M. from Tifton, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2015 Spacious and clean with spectacular views. Easily accommodated all 10 adults. Nice walk or quick drive to town.
Mark G. from Lancaster, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2015 I have stayed in this rental before. The reasons I return repeatedly are many. The house has a versatile layout for different family situations. It is well maintained, nicely located, and completely comfortable. Of course the amenities of Pine Mountain Lake itself are available to guests and the surrounding area is dotted with Gold Rush era towns. It's a great money saving alternative to staying in Yosemite as it is a short drive away. Pine Mountain Custom Rentals is very professional yet personal with Tory giving you the best service you could expect. All in all.......a gem!
Jan S. from Santa Barbara, California recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2015 Great house - well equipped and family friendly. So comfortable for us 6 adults and two little ones....I would definitely return to this property. Our only disappointment was that the dock was dry - hoping for rain!
A guest from Dublin, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 First off, the place needs some serious updates. It is very dated, kind of cluttered, and the furniture looks old. Also it is not a three bedroom. It is a two bedroom with a several extra beds directly next to the laundry area. The view is absolutely lovely. However, thanks to the drought, there is no real water access, just mud. This should be well publicized in the listing. We feel like we overpaid and that the listing description should have included this. The kitchen is small and does not include a dishwasher. And finally the hot water temperature is scolding. I literally brewed a cup of tea using tap water. There are signs near all the faucets indicating the water is hot, but that is ridiculous and dangerous for children that might be bathing themselves. The house is in a good location. It is easy to find and an easy walk from the less crowded of the the beaches. The overall house is kid friendly (with the exception of the hot water). There were plenty of toys, games, and videos. We are torn on whether we would use it again. We ultimately had a good time on our vacation, but undecided if we would return.
A guest from Riverton, Utah recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 We had a really good stay here. The cabin was in an excellent location (back yard was on the water in the cove, easy in and out since we were going to yosemite each day, walking distance to the beach), it was comfortable and we loved the be big deck with tables and chairs. It wasn't a luxury cabin but it was comfortable, clean and worked well for our family.
A guest from Glendale, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 The house was really nice. It had everything that you might ask for. It was clean and convenient. Would highly recommend it.
Reviewed by: Lorie H. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 I hate to complain. But I have three major ones. And I think you should know. Ants! Lots of them, everyday, every night. It was pretty gross. Only in the many personal items around, I felt like it was my familys cabin, but I didn know them. That was weird too.Razors in the shower. Not cool when you rent for that much money. And the main thing was the cleaning crew took a shortcut and left the dirty sheets on the bed. As we didnt pay for linnens, we brought our own. When we went to make the beds they had been slept in, Gross. We ended up putting sleeping bags on top the bed.We didnt say anything while we were there, we just wanted to have a good time and we did. So Im greatfull for that.
Kim B. from Saint Helens, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 The staff at Pine Mountain Custom Rentals was great! Very good communication. The house / kitchen was fully equipped with a nice view of the lake.
Steve R. from Cupertino, California recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2015 We had a great family vacation at 1/300 in June, 2015, and we would recommend the experience to intergenerational families like ours. The property and community are well explained, and we encountered no unexpected surprises. The weather was HOT & the A/C was great!
Alisa S. from Los Gatos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2015 We loved staying in this awesome cabin! The wrap around deck was fabulous and we enjoyed walking down to the lake and throwing balls for the neighbor's dogs. My teenage kids loved the ping pong table and we brought some board games from home to play. The drive into Yosemite was doable, but after 3 days of driving back and forth to Yosemite, it got a bit tiring. The cabin was clean and well maintained.
Thuan P. from Campbell, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 My daughter and my best friend's daughter have been celebrating their birthdays here for the past two years here and we're hoping to make it an annual tradition. We love the location and the house is perfect for our two families.
Kaylyn M. from Salida, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2015 I had nothing but great time. The place was amazing and i cant wait to come back summer time.the place was very neat and homey.
oscar g. from van nuys, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this lakefront home. It was cozy, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a great weekend away. We loved the lakefront view and the river running in the back. It was beautiful to wake up and look outside and see so many beautiful deer. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much! I would definitely stay again.
Mark G. from Lancaster, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2014 This the 4th time I have stayed in this rental. I don't give repeat business to those I am not satisfied with. The property management, Tory in particular, is a pleasure to deal with and you will certainly be satisfied with their treatment of you. I will not go into too much detail about the amenities as they are well covered in the ad for this home. I will say it is represented accurately and immaculate upon your arrival so no fear there. In the center of Gold Country, Pine Mountain Lake offers a beautiful setting to stay in as well as to use for various day trips to the surrounding area including Yosemite National Park. We spent one day at the zip line at Moaning Caverns which was an exciting break amidst several days enjoying family and friends at Thanksgiving. You will certainly not be disappointed renting this home.
Kelly W. from Concord, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2014 One of my main complaints is that the instructions for check in are very vague in your confirmation email. The other main thing is that there was literally 1 roll of toilet paper in the whole house and with 6 people staying there...well, we had to go shopping for TP and paper towels, which I feel should be part of the rental. We brought everything else like paper plates etc...but toilet paper should be a main staple in my opinion. Otherwise, the location was great and the house was outdated but comfortable. We all loved watching the deer roam and would probably stay again.
Maria M. from Santa Clara, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 It was a great stay!!! Absolutely awesome! We were a company of 3 families (6 adults and 3 kids below 4 y o). The place is safe for kids, no mosquitoes, access to the water (not for swimming however, but kids loved having fun on the bank). The terrace has both shadow and sunny areas. The beds were very comfortable. The description of the place on the site is accurate. The beach is within the walking distance. The water is warm even when the sun goes down. Beaches are safe. Water transportation is available. I can think of no drawbacks. Definitely coming here again!
A guest from san bruno, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2014 Nice little house. Perfect for the four of us. Nice fenced deck with latching gates, as we have two young boys. Deck was insect free, no bees or bugs, which was a plus. We spent a lot of time out there. Nice upstairs area with bed, crib and futon in one room, made sleeping arrangements easy for us. If you like to or plan on cooking a lot, there aren't many pots and pans. There were some Legos and coloring books, again nice for our boys. Overall the cabin was clean, not spotless like other homes. Rental company was friendly, professional and very accomodating. Pretty close to Dunn Court beach. We enjoyed this cabin and would stay again.
A guest from Aptos, Califonia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2014 We enjoyed our stay at PML. The cabin was fine and the right size for our party. The only complaint was that the linens were not delivered until 6pm. We were told that we did not read the flyer informing us that linens would arrive late. There was not a flyer in our packet about this. It was a hassle to contact the office and wait 3 hours for linens to arrive.
Lana B. from Mountain View, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2014 We had a great time at the lake this year! The house was just perfect for our family. Enough space, comfortable beds, A/C. Lots of books, toys/games for kids, even coloring and sticker books. Wonderful deck overlooking the lake where we spent most of our evenings. The only thing I would improve is a kitchen. Now we can't wait to go back. Thank you to the owners and Custom Rentals:)
A guest from San francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 If you want: comfortable spacing; fancy interior; adventurous environment, this is the house you will be more than satisfied with. Enough attraction around the house within the reach of less than an hour drive, including city touring and Yosemite National Park, the house here will not only give one a good rest, but can be an attraction itself!
Gillian M. from Malvern, Worcestershire recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2014 It was lovely to stay somewhere so peaceful after being in San Francisco. The accommodation was very comfortable and as we had three teenage children we particularly liked the table tennis table. The only criticism I would have is that we had to clean the outside table and chairs on the decking area before we could use them and it would have been nice to have a kettle as being from England we are not all big coffee drinkers and prefer tea! The staff at Pine Mountain were very helpful during our stay.
Mark G. from Lancaster, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2013 Our trip revolved around the Thanksgiving holiday where we were to meet many family & friends for several days. The location was walking distance to the main events house which was very nice. The house is cozy and well maintained. Everything you need is there except linens but we opted to have those provided for a small fee. Opening the living room blinds exposes large windows for a panoramic view of the main body of Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful! All the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is less than an hour away from the western gate of Yosemite. In the opposite direction are any number of Gold Rush era towns close enough for day trips without long travel time which we took advantage of. I can't say enough about the staff at Pine Mountain Custom rentals. They are professional, polite, efficient, and just FUN people. Even thought they would be closed for the holiday they provided us with a personal contact number should any needs arise. I highly recommend them and they have a number of homes available in the area. Perfect!
Brenda P. from Livermore, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 Nice place. Clean and the kitchen was well stocked, except the dishwasher. Our only issues I and the people I was with had was: paid extra for sheets and was a bit suprised that we had to make our beds up. Also no toilet paper, soap or paper towels. Would have brought some from home.also a bit annoyed that we had to pay for each vehicle--would have thought at least one or two passes would have been included. Of course those issues have nothing to do with the nice rental.
Brian K. from Union City, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 This is our 2nd time using Pine Mountain Lake Rentals. Their customer service is top class Rebeca (the owner) will make sure that your stay with them is one of the best vacation experiences you and your family will have. We loved this property. It was very cozy, clean and perfect for one big family or two small ones. You are close to the front gate so stores and restaurants are a 5 minute drive away and you also close to the water and a short walk to Dillon Beach. The house has updated amenities (large flatscreen tv), but enough personal touches to make it feel like a family cabin on the lake. Our kids loved the toys, games and coloring books that the owners were kind enough to share with visitors. There is also a collection of dvd's for visitors to enjoy. Definitely will be staying here again. THANK YOU REBECA AND PML RENTALS! WE LOVE YOU!
A guest from Easthampton, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2013 We had a wonderful stay at this house, felt like a cozy cabin!Renting online was very pleasant and simple, The rental people were always available, kind and professional too.The only thing I would have liked is a clean game room. The carpet was dirty(stained?)and dust everywhere, we never went down there or was able to use the tennis table :(I didn't mind no internet, we like being 'off the grid' once in awhile.PLENTY of easy parking too, that's amazing as most of the homes driveways are a nightmare.Would come back for sure!
Great Place - But $75 extra to rent sheets/towels???
Reviewed by: Eric C. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2013 Everything said? this is a great place to visit. We spent 2 nights here in July 2013 and had a great time. The house was absolutely spot on for the 3 of us. There is room for 6-8 people to sleep comfortably. ProsThe house was clean and cozy with a great deck. House located on the very tip of Pine Mountain Lake with a beautiful view. Groveland is about 1 hour from Yosemite Valley (30 minutes to Yosemite gates). Great drive. The property management company apologized and reimbursed us for our food which was stolen from the fridge. The leasing agent Carol (who was wonderful, informative and helpful in every way) informed us that there was an ant problem in the kitchen.ConsThe house was stocked full of clean sheets, towels and blankets. After we arrived at the house we were really confused as to why we had to pay an extra $50 for two sets of lines and towels provided by a ?third-party? (normal rate was $75 so we got a ?deal?). What we discovered was this is a way for the property management company to make extra cash. Groveland is a hundred + miles from the nearest store that sells linens and sheets. The OWNER of PINE MOUNTAIN CUSTOM RENTALS (Rebeca) told us the property owner should not have provided towels and linens (?they should have been locked up?). Rebeca let it slip that she also owns (or is somehow associated with) the third-party company that provides linen service. The cleaning company took food from the refrigerator after we informed them we were putting some items in the fridge while they were there. They didn?t throw it away? they took it home and ate it (we checked the trash). This was confirmed by Rebeca during checkout after we called PINE MOUNTAIN CUSTOM RENTALS and complained. We woke to a kitchen full of ants.
Chad J. from Thousand Oaks, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 We had two (2) families, both with small children and the house was perfect to sleep 8. The brand-new deck and BBQ, as well as having your own private dock on the lake, just adds to the experience. The inside is a bit dated but completely functional. The kids loved sleeping up in the loft and the downstairs unit was fun to go down for a ping-pong tournament. Great location and a great place to rent for the money at PML.
April W. from Alameda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 Loved the cabin, very cozy, you could feel the great memories that have been created there by the people who have come here over the years. Loved the toys, stuffed animals, small chairs outside and crib for my toddler. The deck was lovely in the evenings with the Oak trees and stars. Beaches within walking distance. Found a sweet river swim spot one day also. Loved it!
A guest from Oakland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 This house was perfect for our family. Great location, had everything we needed. It was our first visit to PML and we will definitely be back!
A guest from Manteca, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2013 This cabin was great! can't beat having a lake in your back yard, the dock was nice, easy access however when we went out to swim it was difficult to climb up the dock as it didnt have a ladder, luckily we had an intertube to roll off onto the dock so it was not a big deal. Location was close to everything. paddled my Kayak to the marina for a quick swim at the beach, oh make sure you register your kayak at the Marina. Pingpong table was a blast. You may want to bring your own pingpong balls, there was only one and it was cracked. Kicking it on the new deck a night was relaxing, lots of stars in the sky. Having the charcoal BBQ was a plus, used it every night (hate propane..sorry Hank).Pine mountain Custom Rentals staff was very professional, they helped us find just the right cabin at a great price. I will definately be back hopefully this year!
Ken R. from Soulsbyville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 Went well with a few glitches- Forgot to give us towels and sheets, on 911 emergency sheet had the address off by 10. On a short inlet so easy to get out on lake with SUP boards and boat. Boats registered with relatives that owned a PML place. Rented boats too.
Property Manager Response: Response from Pine Mountain Custom Rentals can not tell you how sorry we are about the linens and towels. Also, the address was off and that has been fixed. We take alot of pride to make sure that all of our guests are happy with their homes and have a great stay with us. We feel that our service is the best.
Debbie B. from San Carlos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 The house was centrally located not too far off the beaten path. The lake and pool is close by. Huge driveway for the kids to run around. Excellent view of the lake and the dock was newly updated as well. The house was absolutely perfect and would defineltly rent this place again. The only thing missing was the dish washer, but we made due with washing dishes and talking turns cooking and cleaning. Kids loved the ping pong table below also. The deck was great and had alot of furniture which was nice. The fridge is aso big to hold alot of food if your staying a long time. The furniture inside is old and would recommend to be replaced for sure. Its not an updated house, but it worked for us. We weren't there much except to bbq dinner and sleep.
A guest from Soquel, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 Quiet section of the PML properties, equipped with a recently refurbished dock which compliments the cozy home. Not much of a view so opt for lakefront options if that is a priority. Otherwise, this was a very pleasant stay. Common amenities are provided, with the exception of a dishwasher, and the location was good for a walk to Dunn beach or a long and lazy paddle from the home's dock to the marina. If the price is right, try it out.
Steven O. from San Leandro, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 Great location, I would stay hear again. The place is a 2 bedroom with an upstairs living area that has 2 double beds. This area would be great for young children. The selling point was the beautiful dock going into the cove.
Mark G. from Lancaster, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2011 Of course just being at Pine Mountain Lake has its advantages. The home itself is completely ready for you to walk in, unpack and relax. Clean, well kept, plenty of room for up to eight, and conveniently located. The property management is second to none. They take care of all your needs professionally and courteously. I have rented this home twice now and I will likely rent it again! Try it yourself.
Kim D. from Tracy, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 1= 4 2= 3 The deck is in bad condition when you walk on the front side section the deck wobbles. 3= 5 4= 3 the property needs a really good cleaning, spider webs in the corners and the floor corners were dirty. It appears that housekeeping runs through the middle and calls it a day. 5=4 They were supposed to call us and let us know if we could check out a little later we left two messages and they never responded to us. Very inconsiderate. 6= No the deck is not safe. And the front porch railing is also wobbly. If these things and the cleaning were fixed it would be great.
Lana P. from Belmont, California recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 Loved this place overall. great dock and a lot of fish to catch! a little bit sad that there was no dishwasher but enjoyed my time overall!
Maherangaiz T. from Fremont, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 The property management personal was very nice and helpful. Other than this, I am not recommending this rental home for anyone to stay in, unless the owners take some serious measures to clean this house. When we walked in to the house, it looked all cozy and nice, but when we got upstairs there were dirty wet towels left by the kids bed near the washer and dryer. The runner by the entrance door is very dirty and smelly, the down stair bathroom tub was not clean, and the sofas' are dirty and smelly. One suggestion to the owner of this house is to buy covers for his sofas and wash them after each gust leaves. The house is located near by a lake and it is a nice quiet place, but it needs some major carpet cleaning and the washer and dryer needs to be downstairs in the garage, not next to the kids beds. I like to thank Carol the property manager who was very courteous and kind to us. Next time I make sure to ask questions, instead of looking at the pictures, because beautiful pictures can be deceiving :)
A guest from McKinney, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011 We enjoyed our stay at this property. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we had many a ping pong tournament. The kitchen was well stockednwith pots & pans for cooking & i felt like I was staying at a friends house for a few days. Loved it! Would definitely stay here again
Mark G. from Lancaster, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2010 First of all, the rental agency is a joy to work with and tends to your every need pleasantly. Very nice people and very accommodating. The house was clean and comfortable with a set up kitchen. Not only is there lake access with a dock but a beautiful view of the main part of the lake. Neighbors are not too close as the house sits on the lot. There is plenty of sleeping space and two baths. The beds we used were very comfortable. I am looking forward to returning as soon as I can. I was very very happy.
Overall we loved our stay!.......Management Team was very helpful and friendly....
Reviewed by: Randy H. recommends this property. A guest from Half Moon Bay, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 Great location; wonderful lake; kids loved the swimming beaches close by and had a great time on the ping pong table. We took several day trips to Yosemite (the valley floor was only an hour away)-- the deck does need some work and there are some squeeks in the floors, but otherwise, it is a fine vacation home.
George C. from San Pablo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2008 We loved it there. For my opinium, the house needs deep cleaning, We saw some mouse FECES on the bed, where the washer and dryer located.
Gerri G. from LaSelva Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2008 We had a wonderful time. The manager actually waited for us when the office was already closed. She was very nice and helpful. Would recommend using this business for your vacation. Set in a cove with great shade for the cabin. The deer were everywhere and friendly. Very comfortable and homey. It seemed everything we needed was already there. You just n eed to look for it. The ping pong room was a blast and all the kids enjoyed having ping pong tournaments. Uncle Henry ended up being the weekend champion. We went out walking in the evening with flashlites and the kids loved that. We all swam until were turned pruney. Walked downtown Groveland with the family. Great food at the Iron Door Saloon. We'll be back.
