The property was clean and tidy but was located facing Ali'i Drive and was very busy from sunrise to sunset. There is one air conditioner for the entire condo that did very little to cool the unit. It gets very hot and uncomfortable. There was an exhaust fan in the loft area located in a small window that was not running. If it had been it probably would have been slightly cooler. Nice kitchen with modern appliances and big fridge and stove. Other than the heat and noise, quite a nice unit.

on the web the pool area looked to be connectec to the unti it also looked inviting the real story was the unit was not near the pool at all and the pool was really poorly maintained as there was paint peeling of it etc In unit the upstairs bedroom had no fan or air into it but still alovely room. WAs great to have all the kitchen things there everything worked well didnt help though the last night there we lost power for 10 hrsso would recommend this place for serviceable no water front view place to staymangement was great to deal with

Did not enjoy the noise pollution. Renting the condo was easy. Not the right location for a tranquil retreat or ocean view. The street noise covered any ocean sounds that would be ideal. The updated kitchen was nice. Bathrooms need updating. Dryer took forever to dry anything. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone wanting to find a peaceful vacation.

The condo had the right amount of space for a family of four, but was very old. Other than a recently upgraded kitchen, the rest of the condo was late 1980's, the smaller shower was tiny and looked well used and the electric fuse for the kitchen and the water heater had to be reset at least two to three times a day and especially each morning to ensure we had hot water. The screen door was broken and could not be closed. The location was great though and the condo complex itself was very quiet. The unitWas well stocked with basic amenities so we did not have to shopOther than for food. The pool was such a disappointment so we never used it.

Perfect Condo for a Family vacation

This condo had a perfect location on Ali Drive.We could walk to almost everything. Good restaurants, farmer's market, groceries all within walking distance. A small white sand beach and a cute snorking area was within 5 mins driving distance. Everyday evening 15 mins before sunset we could walk out to see the sunset on the ocean. This place had two body boards, kids enjoyed a lot on those body boards. Ali Drive is a busy street but we enjoyed watching people jog and all that happening on Ali Drive.

Loved the location to the town, close to beaches. We did have 8 people and so the sofa beds that did not work was an issue but we managed. Had home cooked meals every night and great family time. I would stay there again.

We booked this place because we were going to have two small, young families and needed the space. We ended up with just one family and mothers in laws visiting so it worked, but the loft would not have been ideal for either young family. And the loft is hot.The kitchen is small, but big enough and beautiful. The dishwasher is a nice added luxury.The lanai is nice to have, but faces the street, not the pool which is actually located in another area. We never used the pool because we felt like we were in someone else's backyard (but that was probably our own deal). Also, we didn't NEED a pool with the great Kona weather! We hit the beaches almost every day instead and used the unit more for a staging area and sleeping place.The one major drawback was the noise of traffic from Ali'i Drive. I could sleep through it, but others not so well, and our baby woke up quite a bit too.

The location was very good and the property was in good condition. Wireless internet was added on the 3rd day we were there. The only problem was the noise from the street which was at a 3 way stop with the motorcycles and trucks loud acceleration after the stop.

The Condo sits right on Alii drive, (light sleepers beware)so it is within easy walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in old Kona town. Well furnished with nice new kitchen. It can sleep 5-6 comfortably. Didn't use the pool since the beach was also close. DVD player would be a nice addition.

The house is perfect for 4 people or for a family with children. There are two bedrooms and twe bathrooms, the other people sleep in an area above the living room, so for a group of 6 or 8 friends the house is not very handy. The location is perfect, you can walk to the centre of Kona.

nice kitchen, a bit noisy from Alii drive. Worst noise is the air condition unit. But we were satisfied. One of our men left his nice tan/brown shoe when we left/vacate the unit. Talked to Wayne but we weren't able to get the nice shoe back. We got one shoe (a different one-dark colored one )back that was left there ( fella didn't not know he left shoe back at unit/apt. But never got the nice/tan dress shoe back. We also left a new dish rack that we bought (maroon color one) when we moved in but were not able to retrieve either.

Overall, this was a good accommodation. Location is great, close to shopping and the ocean, the kitchen is very nice, layout is practical and comfortable. The disadvantages are that this unit is very noisy and very hot. We had difficulties sleeping because of the noise and the heat. The units should be properly insulated for the climat. The loft is immpossible to use - it is that hot. The carpets should be changed, they look worn out and dirty. Overall I would rate it at 2 2/3. Thanks

November was a very hot month with temperatures reaching 95 degrees during the day. A/C units in not only this property, but other properties and my office as well could not cool sufficiently.
The loft is an issue and we are in the process of installing a separate A/C there. I carpets are worn, but are not dirty. I have not had noise complaints on this unit before and am wondering if the sliders
were left open because of the heat which would make the noise from the street much louder.

I would not recommend only because we basically had very little comfort in the way of air conditioning. With 5 people sleeping and poor air conditioning, it put a damper on our stay when kids and myself didn't sleep well. But, lessons learned. Thanks.

The air conditioning unit in the living room is usually sufficient to cool the downstairs. The loft area does get warm and we have installed a fan in the ceiling that pulls air out. The month of August here in Kona is the hottest month of the year and this year was no exception. My office A/C unit has been running 8 to 10 degrees higher this month as a result of the warm days and humidity. The A/C unit will be tested to insure it is working propertly or will be replaced.

The small bathroom was full of mold in the shower and on the floor. The larger bathroom had mold on the floor and some in the shower but not in the quantity of the small bathroom. There was not a full set of silverware available or adequate serving bowls. Other than the above we were quite comfortable.

Problem with location was road noise, not something you can fix, but it might be better to alert guests to the issue. Made worse by fact you want to leave windows and doors open to ventilate at night.

Great Family Vacation Rental

My family loved the location of this vacation rental. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. It was a great place for rest and relaxation. Even though we were able to see the traffic on Ali'i Drive from our balcony, we slept peacefully. We are looking forward for our stay next year. Thanks!!

We loved the convenience of the location. The unit was beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. It was very spacious and the layout offered much privacy. I have already forwarded the unit information to a friend who is looking for a place to stay. I can't imagine why this wouldn't be the perfect place for everyone.

a/c was only one inwall unit. Didn't keep anything cool except the living room and kitchen. Had to sleep on the floor in the lr, upstairs and bedrooms waaay too hot. Keep the fans OFF, they only suck the hot air back down.
