Would not recommed! A guest from St Johns, NF does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 We arrived at out rental 3pm which was our check in time. The cleaners had just arrived to start cleaning the place! We sat on the couch as the cleaners "cleaned" the unit. Everything in the house was disgusting ! It smelled! The bathroom was horrible!!! The shower curtain was dirty and mouldy. The kitchen had a damp sour smell. When i sat on the couch I felt dirty! The WHOLE unit smelled damp. I woukd never ever stay at this unit again! Even if it was free! I had a great vacation but make a point of blocking this until and my stay there out of my memories! I would give the until 1 across the board! There is nothing that was good about staying in this until. If I had my time back we should have turned around as soon as we walked in the door !! I would say that it is 2 blocks from the beach rather than the 1 block advertised. However, there is a metered lot on the beach near the condo with showers and a concession stand, which was very helpful b/c it was too far to walk with 2 small children. Stayed for 28 days in February, 2012 The Waves location is excellent with a short walk to the beach and restaurants and entertainment close by. Easy drive to main shopping centres.Furniture in living room and kitchen is very dated.The kitchen chairs were wobbly and I glued them myself.The rocking chair seat was shredded and we had to repair it with plastic bags.Living room rug looked dirty but was also a bad match and we ended up rolling it up and leaving it behind the couch.Bed rooms were better and the beds were good.Towels need replaced.Only contact with management company was initiated by me. I told them about the chairs and they offered to send a repair man but that would not have been convenient for me.Also had to buy light bulbs, no big deal, but there was no spares.A little TLC would make this condo a lot better. Property Manager Response: Response from Waterfront Vacation Rentals Inc. June 2012: The dining table is now more stable (as well as the chairs) and the rocking chair has been removed. Found no issues with the living room rug or furniture. We would have also had light bulbs delivered. |

Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 We left a note on the table for a few minor maintenance situations (FYIs) that probably would go un-noticed by the cleaning people. Given that there was no WI-FI, it might be helpful that the nice info loose leaf booklet would indicate where in the area one could go with their laptop to get on the internet (coffee shop etc). Very Unhappy at The Waves A guest from Amherst, NY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 59 days in January, 2010 We were extremely unhappy at the Waves this year. The condition of the property, and of the condo have been gradually declining, but this year was the worst ever. It all seemed poorly maintained. Carpets need cleaning, and the state of our condo, not up to our standards.We will not re-visit the Waves again, even though we've been there for three years, and we will certainly never deal with Waterfront Realty in the future. We were so disappointed in both. |
