Large, second floor condo overlooking The Waves tropical courtyard pool. Remodeled condo complex just steps from St Pete Beach. New living & dining room furnishings, beds, 3 flatscreen TVs and washer/dryer! Free WiFi too! There is a king size bed (new mattresses Jan 2012) in the master bedroom, a queen size bed (new mattresses Jan 2012) in the guest bedroom and a new queen size sofabed in the living room. The Waves was completely renovated, top to bottom, inside and out, started in late 2004 and completed in early 2005. There is a heated courtyard pool and the beach is only about a five minute walk away, with no busy streets to cross. 3 night rental minimum

The kitchen appliances are new and top rate. the kitchen itself was a bit tight especially with the placement of the dishwaher. The wter tank on the toilet in the master bedroom ran because of a hard, old flap. . We had difficulty with the A/C. A repairperson was sent out the next day. If we had not drained the pan on the unit at 9:00 pm,and throughout the night, it would have been a long hot night for us. The A/C was poorly maintined - not cleaned. the Dryer vents into the closet of the master. This made the room hot especially since no intructions to keep water in it the canister were put on the heat diffuser in the closet. We acually rented two units in the Wave complex in order to house all 16 family members. We loved the pool. We would stay in the Wave units again. |

Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 The condo was very nice although be prepared to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels (there's just enough to get you by)And the floor is very slippery. Towels left in the washer, found them the day before we left, (which would have been nice to have during our stay)And the broom and dust pan were buried behind beach stuff and were needed!!!!! Several restaurants and bars all within walking distance and only about 2 blocks from the beach. Rental staff were great and very responsive. The outdoor pool was a great convenience. Only complaint with the condo were the beds - very uncomfortable, particularly the king, however, we still stayed an extra 2 nights. Would definitely stay at the Waves again, but unless there are new beds, probably not in #10. Did not cook but kitchen seemed well equipped. 10 Waves St Pete Beach A guest from Birkvale, Southport recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2011 Good location about 500 meters from beach, you need to take all you need (chair, parasol, drinks, food etc ) to the beach as when we went there were no facilities available on the beach. We visited 31st August 1 week there, then moved on to new location. Beds not comfortable in any room, sofa bed needed extra covers just to sleep on it. Generally a little dated, but clean, pool was approx 10 meters long so just able to swim in. There was sand on the floor, dirt and something sticky on the kitchen counter tops and the bathrooms needed to be scrubbed from top to bottom. I even bought clorox wipes and cleaned up the kitchen and both bathrooms because they were dirty. Also the toilet bowls needed to be bleached and cleaned as well. |
