Beach Renovations A guest from Andersonville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 The property owners of this Condo were very nice, and the condo was right next to the pool, which is great. The only problem I had was the portion of our beach is being renovated and was closed and no one told me that when I reserved the Condo. We had to walk blocks with all of our stuff, beach bag and cooler, every day and that is why I was unhappy with the location, but if the beach wasnt being renovated it would have been perfect, because it is just steps from the pool to the beach. It is a beautiful beach. Walker/mays Family vacation pier point 47 A guest from Petoskey, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in April, 2012 This property has the greatest location in my opinion. I stayed here last year also but in unit 50; which I liked significantly better than this one.This unit has an amazing kitchen that was stocked well for us as we prepared most meals for our family here in the unit. Other than the kitchen & a pull out couch which 50 did not have I liked 50 more. Although we could put more ppl in this unit it is less accommodating.... The children's beds were oddly placed in their bedroom making access to the closet impossible for them. Everytime they changed clothes they needed an adult to move the bed to access the closet. The master bathroom is incredibly tiny; very hard to move around in it & myself and my husband are 5" & 5'6 not large in size. One last problem for a family is that the washer/ dryer unit is older & the clothes took FOREVER to get dry. Small inconvienances none the less annoying. I would definately reccomend pier point to anyone & everyone I could just liked my unit last year better. On a positive note this is a ground floor unit which I would strongly reccomend. Communication Problems with the Condo Association Daniel G. from Festus, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in September, 2011 The reservation staff was excellent. We needed a condo because we had been called to Florida on one day's notice to adopt our newborn son. They were extremely helpful in finding us the right place and allowing for early checkin.There was a major problem when we actually tried to check into the condo though. The instructions from VRPros stated that we were to check in with the condo office upon arrival to get pool passes and gate codes. When I tried to do this the Pier Point attendant told me that I was at the wrong office, I'd have to work with VR Pros and pointed me down the road. I left assuming I had the wrong address but returned shortly and she told me in no uncertain terms that she did not work for Vacation Rental Pros and could not help me. I called VR Pros about this, they agreed that I should check in with their office so I drove 10 miles to get to there. Upon arrival, I was told curtly that I should be checking in at the condo. I explained what had happened, told the VRP staff to work it out between themselves and returned to the condo since I did have the door combination. Two days later there was a friendly face at Pier Point who provided the pool passes and codes and explained that we should have been treated better. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 We were generally satisfied with this unit, but the maid was still waiting on the towels to dry in the dryer and had to buy new sheets (lasts ones had stains). We had to dispose of dirty underwear left in bathroom closet. Dryer takes too long and is too loud. The plumbing needs work, sink slow in small bath, and water pressure is very bad in master bath shower. Condo was extremely clean and everything shown in the photos was very accurate. Patrick M. from Ocala, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 The only complaint I have was the extremely poor water pressure in the showers. I understand that water pressure can often be a little weak in some of these complexes, but this was extreme in my opinion. I was afraid to lather up the soap too much in fear that it might take two hours to rinse off. One other minor thing was that there were no sheets for the pullout couch; we had to use the spare sheets for the larger queen bed in the master BR. Otherwise, the accomodations were excellent and despite the issue with the water pressure, I would definitely stay there again! Owner needs to invest a little more money and upgrade the furniture and mattresses A guest from Cocoa, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2011 This condo was beautiful and perfectly located. It was peaceful and quiet. It had every amenity we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked and beautifully decorated. However, the furnishings (all wicker) in this condo are NOT suited for the middle aged or the elderly. We were all in our fifties. The living room furniture was not firm and sat too low. It was difficult getting up once you sat down. It was uncomfortable and way too soft. We had to pile pillows on the couch and chairs before we could sit down on them. It may have been better suited for twenty year olds whose bodies (knees, butt and back) are still young and flexible. The mattresses were uncomfortable also. The first night we did not get much sleep and when we got up the next morning every part of our bodies, especially our backs were hurting. It was impossible to get comfortable. We called and someone came out and removed the foam padding that was on the bed. That helped a little but again, the mattresses were probably better suited for younger bodies. As over worked business owners we went on vacation to rest and relax and we could not comfortably do either. The only other thing that would have made the stay nicer were clocks. There was only one clock in the guest bedroom. The clock in the master bedroom did not work and there were none in the front living areas. Overall, we enjoyed the beach and the serenity. I hope that the owner(s) will invest in some good quality furniture and mattresses. Then this place would be perfect. The only reason that I would not recommend this condo to any of my friends is because they too are over fifty and would be just as uncomfortable as we were with the furnishings. Thanks.
